The Beautiful CEO's Personal Mad Doctor

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Setting up a Formation

As the head of the family hosting the service, Jin Tianxiang couldn’t very well lash out, no matter how furious he was, lest he appear impolite.

However, Jin Tianxiang wasn’t worried. One by one, the Jin Family’s relatives and guests were starting to notice Cheng Yuan.

Instantly, many of their faces turned sour.

Jin Tianxiang’s younger brother, Jin Tianyong, took two steps forward, his face dark as he blocked Cheng Yuan’s path. ”Young man, I think you’re in the wrong place. Please leave and don’t disturb the deceased.”

Cheng Yuan grinned. ”I’m in the right place. I was Jin Pengfei’s classmate. I’ve come to see him off one last time.”

Classmate??

Jin Tianyong’s brow furrowed deeply. ”If you’re sincerely here to mourn Pengfei, why are you dressed so gaudily? And why did you bring sunflowers? Sunflowers symbolize light, hope, and vigorous growth. Pengfei is already dead. What hope is there? How can he grow vigorously? I don’t think you’re here to mourn. I think you’re here to gloat.”

”Oh? Was I found out? Was I that obvious? Hahaha...”

Cheng Yuan laughed heartily, pushed Jin Tianyong aside, and strode up to the Crystal Coffin. He looked at Jin Pengfei with a ”grief-stricken” expression and began to wail.

”BOOHOO!~ Jin Pengfei, how could you die so tragically? I didn’t even get the chance to take my revenge on you! Take these flowers. You’d better grow vigorously in the afterlife!”

Jin Tianxiang could no longer hold back. He roared, ”Who the hell are you? What did our Jin Family ever do to you? Why have you come to our family’s memorial hall to cause trouble?”

Cheng Yuan turned his head, his expression now blank as he faced Jin Tianxiang. ”President Jin, you great men are so forgetful. Let me remind you: two years ago, you conspired with the rich and powerful to send an innocent student to prison.”

Cheng Yuan was right. Two years had passed, and Jin Tianxiang had long since forgotten about a little pest like Cheng Yuan. Only with this reminder did he recall the events of that year.

”Your name was Cheng... Cheng what again?”

”Cheng Yuan.”

”Right, Cheng Yuan. You injured my son back then and were sentenced to five years. How did you get out so quickly?”

Cheng Yuan laughed. ”Heh... The guilty party cries foul first, I see. Did I injure your son, or did your son bring a gang to jump me? As for why I’m out so fast? Obviously, I was released early for good behavior.”

”Kid, if you had just kept your tail between your legs, I might never have even remembered a little pest like you. But you’ve made a fatal mistake. you shouldn’t have come here to disrupt our Jin Family’s memorial, and you shouldn’t have disturbed Pengfei’s spirit! I sent you to prison once, and I can do it a second time! Get on your knees and kowtow three times to Pengfei, then get the hell out of our house! Otherwise, I’ll make you rot in jail!”

”President Jin, you’ve also made a fatal mistake. I’m not the same person I was two years ago. Jin Pengfei is dead, and we can let that be. Death cancels all debts. But you’re still alive, and you and I still have a score to settle.”

Jin Tianxiang laughed in fury and waved his hand dismissively. ”Someone get this arrogant brat out of my sight!”

”Yes, sir!”

Receiving the order, several bodyguards in black suits strode toward Cheng Yuan.

”Kid, leave now, or we won’t be so polite!”

”Then show me what ’not being so polite’ looks like.”

”You’re courting death!”

The bodyguards lunged at the same time, but in Cheng Yuan’s eyes, their movements were far too slow. They couldn’t even touch the corner of his clothes!

BAM!

Cheng Yuan executed an Iron Mountain Lean, sending the men flying!

BOOM!

The men slammed heavily into the Crystal Coffin!

CRASH! The Crystal Coffin slid off the altar, and Jin Pengfei’s body tumbled out.

The impact was so violent that the mortician’s delicate makeup on Jin Pengfei’s face was smeared, making his features look somewhat gruesome.

The color drained from Jin Tianxiang’s and Ai Yuelan’s faces.

”Pengfei! Quickly, put Pengfei back in the coffin!”

Everyone scrambled to put Jin Pengfei back in the coffin, then glared at Cheng Yuan with hostile eyes.

Jin Pengfei’s mother, Ai Yuelan, her eyes filled with tears, cried, ”You brat! Don’t you understand the concept of respecting the dead? Why must you disturb Pengfei’s spirit?”

Cheng Yuan shrugged. ”My apologies, but I wasn’t the one who knocked over the coffin. The ones who disturbed Jin Pengfei’s spirit were them!”

Jin Tianxiang glared at Cheng Yuan as if he wanted to eat him alive. ”Kid, I think you’re tired of living! Do you really think our Jin Family wouldn’t dare to touch you?”

Cheng Yuan wasn’t flustered at all. He looked at Jin Tianxiang with a faint smile. ”President Jin, your Jin Family is certainly impressive. I’m so scared. I wish you the joy of losing your son in middle age, a body wracked with illness, and a life of waking from nightmares every single day.”

With that, Cheng Yuan turned and walked away.

No one noticed that as Cheng Yuan walked, he was secretly forming a Magic Formula with his hands, leaving an imprint on Jin Tianxiang.

With a flick of his wrist, Cheng Yuan’s hands moved faster and faster, forming the Magic Formula. Streams of black qi, invisible to the naked eye, were drawn into his palm.

This was the death qi from Jin Pengfei, along with the Residual Soul he had managed to capture when the boy’s spirit was just disturbed.

Jin Tianxiang let out a heavy snort but didn’t order anyone to stop Cheng Yuan. After the funeral, he would deal with this reckless kid properly!

Everyone thought Cheng Yuan had left, but he hadn’t. He circled the villa several times.

He was setting up a rather insidious Array from the Celestial Witch Inheritance—the Nightmare Soul-Catching Array!

This Array used the Residual Soul as its core and death qi as its fuel, gathering the dark energy and negative emotions from the surrounding fifty kilometers to focus on the cursed person!

And the cursed person was none other than Jin Tianxiang!

From this day forward, as long as Jin Tianxiang returned to this villa, he would be plagued by nightmares every day. He would be assaulted daily by dark energy and negative emotions, and his health would deteriorate. In a month at most, he would be following in his son’s footsteps.

Cheng Yuan left, and the memorial hall returned to normal. But Jin Tianxiang couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. It seemed as if the temperature in the hall had suddenly dropped by several degrees.

Jin Tianxiang instinctively tightened his collar, but he still couldn’t fight off the bone-chilling cold and couldn’t help but let out a loud sneeze.

...

Having dealt with Jin Tianxiang, Cheng Yuan slowly walked away.

As he walked, he pondered.

’Jin Tianxiang is easy to handle,’ he thought, ’but the powerful figures he conspires with won’t be so simple.’

’How can I make those powerful people pay a painful price?’

As he continued walking, he passed Villa Number One and suddenly heard a cry of alarm.

”Shen! Don’t scare me!”

”Dad, did something go wrong with your cultivation practice?”

Cheng Yuan turned his head to see a middle-aged man with an authoritative air clutching his chest, collapsed on the ground.

Shen Manwen and a beautiful woman who looked very much like her were staring at the man, completely panicked.

The middle-aged man was Shen Manwen’s father, Shen Jiangnan, the current Luo City Lord.

Standing beside Shen Manwen was a young man in gold-rimmed glasses. He was handsome enough, but his overall demeanor was rather effeminate, the kind of person who looks sinister at a glance.

This young man was one of Shen Manwen’s suitors, Mei Bin, the son of the region’s largest developer, Mei Jiang.

Mei Bin was pursuing Shen Manwen, and in the current situation, he astutely spotted an opportunity!~

”Secretary Wu, call 911!”

As he spoke, Mei Bin reached out, intending to help Shen Jiangnan up.

Seeing Mei Bin’s action, Cheng Yuan’s expression changed. He rushed forward and shouted, ”Let go of him! Are you trying to kill him?”
