Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 508: Chapter 509: Meeting the Nemesis (Seeking Monthly Pass)

”Aunt Zhen, look at me!” Du Jinruo pouted and raised her palm, saying, ”I was just bumped into by a very rude guy. He was dirty and smelly, and so arrogant, with no manners at all! He hurt me, and my clothes got dirty, but he said I was weak! And didn’t even apologize!”

Liu Chunzhen hurriedly pulled her to sit down, ”How careless. I’ll clean your wounds. Who was that person?”

”I don’t know who he was, he was wearing a hat, and his face was covered with green paint, and it was all smeared with mud. He looked just like a clay figure, I couldn’t see his face clearly at all.”

While disinfecting her, Liu Chunzhen said, ”So, are you just going to suffer this loss in silence?”

”What do you mean? Once he cleans himself up, as long as I see him, I’ll definitely recognize him! I’ll surely identify him one by one at the entrance of the hall tonight!”

Although she couldn’t see the man’s face clearly, she could recognize a body shape. That man was a half head taller than her, tall and straight like a pine tree.

Thinking back, Du Jinruo suddenly felt a bit flustered. Did she actually find the man’s figure... somewhat attractive?

Hmph, but what use is a good figure? Such a rude and cold person, he must be very ugly!

Liu Chunzhen laughed, ”You still have the same spirit as when you were a child, eager for revenge and clear about who you love and hate!”

With a lift of her chin, Du Jinruo responded, ”Of course! My dad says I’ve got my mom’s temperament. He said that’s what he liked about her from the start.”

”Oh, really?”

”It is. Oh, Aunt Zhen, I heard that...” Du Jinruo bit her lip, suddenly acting coy, ”that guy, he’s been transferred here, right?”

”Which guy? Who do you mean?” Liu Chunzhen was confused.

So she knows something.

Du Jinruo let out a cry, ”The guy from the Meng Family, of course!”

The Meng Family?

Liu Chunzhen was stunned for a moment before realizing who she meant and said in comprehension, ”You mean Meng Xinian?”

”Right, him.”

”Yes, he has come. But he only arrived not long ago, I heard he went for some special training these past few days, I haven’t seen him face to face yet.” Suddenly remembering something from Du Jinruo’s childhood, Liu Chunzhen widened her eyes and asked, ”Xiao Ruo, you’re not still holding on to that grudge and planning to settle the score with him, are you?”

Clenching her fists, Du Jinruo declared, ”Of course! I certainly won’t forgive him! When I see him, I’m going to demand payment for that old debt. Even if he apologizes ten times, it won’t be enough!”

It had been a grudge she held in her heart for seven years, she hadn’t forgotten a single day!

Unfortunately, in all those seven years, she never once got the chance to encounter that guy!

Liu Chunzhen shook her head with a laugh, ”I never would have thought, our Xiao Ruo could hold such a grudge. Here’s an idea for you, why not give Meng Xinian a chance to atone? Have him teach that rude guy who bumped into you a lesson!”

Du Jinruo’s eyes lit up, ”Hey! Aunt Zhen, that’s a great idea! I’ve decided, that’s exactly what I’ll do! If Meng Xinian settles the score with that rude guy for me, I’ll forgive him! I’ll cancel that old debt of his from years ago!”

Liu Chunzhen couldn’t help laughing. ”Such a child, I really think, you and Meng Xinian are a match made in heaven.”

”What match made in heaven, not at all!” Du Jinruo pouted.

After stepping out of the canteen, Zhao Xin immediately dashed towards the dormitory. Barely halfway up the stairs to Meng Xinian’s room, he already started shouting excitedly at the top of his voice.
