Supreme Warrior in the City

”You both found two Blood Shadows inside that star?” Su Yang exclaimed in disbelief.

”Of course not! If we had found two, we would have been doomed long ago; we wouldn’t have been able to escape this far!” Supreme Dragon Emperor shook his head. ”We discovered one Blood Shadow inside, but while fleeing, we encountered another one. These two Blood Shadows attacked us front and back, trapping us here!”

Su Yang glanced at the two Blood Shadows, which hadn’t made a move yet, seeming to be observing him.

Previously, inside the cave of that star, Su Yang only sensed the presence of one Blood Shadow, the irregularly shaped one, but not the hexagon-shaped one.

This suggests that the hexagon-shaped Blood Shadow didn’t emanate from the star.

So where did this hexagon-shaped Blood Shadow come from?

Another crucial question is: How many such Blood Shadows are there in the Great World right now?

As Su Yang was pondering, Ye Wantong swiftly flew over, wielding the Eternal Sword, and cautiously watched the two Blood Shadows upon arrival.

”It’s great, you two are together, so I have nothing to worry about!” The Eternal Divine Emperor sighed in relief. The reason they searched for Su Yang was out of concern for their daughter’s safety.

”Are you okay?” Ye Wantong asked worriedly.

”With you here, we’re fine!” Supreme Dragon Emperor grimaced and said, ”These two bastards are ruthless. They’ve stripped me bare. Hey, Su Alliance Leader, when you strike, don’t hold back; kill them for revenge!”

Su Yang ignored him, continuing to stare at the two Blood Shadows.

After a brief silence, Su Yang spoke first, taking a step forward and bowing slightly, ”If my friends have offended you before, I apologize on their behalf and hope for your understanding!”

The two Blood Shadows did not reply or make any moves, simply watching Su Yang quietly.

The scene fell silent again while Su Yang pondered the situation. Why are these two Blood Shadows merely staring at him without making a move? What does it mean?

”I am Su Yang of the Human Clan; may I ask?” Su Yang spoke again.

Still, the two Blood Shadows showed no reaction, continuing to fix their gaze on Su Yang.

”Su Alliance Leader, no need to talk to them; we’ve tried speaking for ages!” Supreme Dragon Emperor said. ”These two seem brainless, incapable of chat. Why not just kill them?”

Su Yang felt exasperated. While uncertain of these Blood Shadows’ true strength, he sensed they were formidable. Whether he could defeat them was still up in the air.

After a moment’s hesitation, Su Yang softly said, ”Wan Tong, you should take the two of them and leave first.”

”What?” Ye Wantong exclaimed, surprised, ”How can we do that? Let us help you fight them!”

”No need!” Su Yang shook his head, quietly adding, ”They seem non-aggressive now. Try to avoid conflict; they aren’t the Guardian God, no need to waste effort!”

”But you’ll be alone here...” Ye Wantong worriedly said.

Su Yang replied, ”It’s fine; even if I can’t defeat them two, escaping won’t be a problem!”

Ye Wantong looked at the two Blood Shadows and then at Su Yang, reluctantly nodding in agreement.

She quietly approached, signaling the Eternal Divine Emperor and Supreme Dragon Emperor to follow her and leave.

However, just as the three of them started moving, the two Blood Shadows abruptly turned their gaze, fixating on the trio.

Su Yang’s expression changed as he sensed the fluctuation in power emanating from the two Blood Shadows.

”Run quickly!” Su Yang commanded sharply, simultaneously flying swiftly to block the two Blood Shadows.

Ye Wantong also sensed trouble, promptly taking the Eternal Divine Emperor and Supreme Dragon Emperor to escape rapidly.

Then, the two Blood Shadows finally made their move.

Blood light surged forth from each Blood Shadow, rapidly aiming for the Eternal Divine Emperor and Supreme Dragon Emperor.

Su Yang was already prepared; as soon as the blood light emerged, he quickly counterattacked, blocking the strikes.

The formidable power strongly shook Su Yang’s Undying Golden Body.

Su Yang was astounded; the power of these Blood Shadows was really strong, comparable to the Heaven Slayer.

”Run quickly!” Su Yang shouted again.

Ye Wantong didn’t look back, hastily leading the Eternal Divine Emperor and Supreme Dragon Emperor far away.

The two Blood Shadows seemed provoked, swiftly charging forward to intercept them.

Su Yang had anticipated this, attacking with full force and blocking the two Blood Shadows.

The two Blood Shadows defended against Su Yang’s attacks but didn’t want to strike him; their focus remained on Ye Wantong and the others.

Su Yang was perplexed; despite standing here and fighting them with all his might, why weren’t the Blood Shadows attacking him? Were they aiming for the easier target?

However, since they didn’t attack him, Su Yang conserved considerable energy, successfully holding back the Blood Shadows until Ye Wantong and the others vanished from sight, calming the Blood Shadows’ fury.

Ultimately, the two Blood Shadows calmed down, no longer showing hostility, quietly standing before Su Yang.

Su Yang was dumbfounded; what was the intention of these Blood Shadows? They weren’t after him, but he stopped them from pursuing Ye Wantong and the others, yet they didn’t retaliate?

After confronting the Blood Shadows for a while, Su Yang couldn’t help but ask, ”Who are you two?”

No answer, Su Yang quickly said, ”Those were my friends and fellow members of the Human Clan. If there’s any offense, I apologize again and ask if you could let them go?”

Still no response; Su Yang frowned, wondering if these Blood Shadows could even understand him.

”Why don’t you two attack me?” Su Yang posed a provocative question, longing for an answer.

Regrettably, no response came from the Blood Shadows, seemingly unable to comprehend Su Yang’s words.

Su Yang felt exasperated; what was the identity of these Blood Shadows?

After a while, the two Blood Shadows seemingly lost interest and separately departed.

One Blood Shadow flew towards the star that Su Yang and the others had passed, while the other headed in another direction.

Watching the Blood Shadows leave, Su Yang felt even more puzzled. Were the Blood Shadows not planning to continue the chase?
