Supreme Warrior in the City

Taoist Venerable nodded, ”The Human Emperor is right, or perhaps we can go in and give it a try!”

Everyone looked at Su Yang. Su Yang thought for a moment and whispered, ”I think we still shouldn’t let the Strongest go in directly; we should go slowly, bit by bit. Next, I’ll take an Advanced Heavenly Realm in and see if the corrosion situation improves!”

”Alright then!” Everyone nodded; this was the most prudent approach.

Next, they found a Heavenly Warrior of Advanced Heavenly Realm. Su Yang engaged the Earth Principle Power, wrapping it around the person and taking him into that area.

This time, the situation was the same as before. Wrapped in the Power of Earth, the person followed Su Yang and directly disappeared.

Not long after, Su Yang brought the Heavenly Warrior back out. The injuries on this Heavenly Warrior were similar to those of the previous one, with half of the body corroded, flesh and blood mutilated, and the inside’s ghastly white bones exposed.

”There’s no difference from the previous person!” Taoist Venerable exclaimed in surprise. ”His power is already Advanced Heavenly Realm. Logically, even if he suffers corrosion from the power inside, it shouldn’t lead to such injuries!”

The others were also bewildered; this situation was indeed beyond their expectations.

”Let’s try sending another person!” Su Yang said directly.

This time, Su Yang chose the Eternal Divine Emperor, with the strength of Heavenly Peak Realm.

As before, the two disappeared in that place. Shortly after, Su Yang reappeared with the Eternal Divine Emperor covered in mutilated flesh and blood.

The injuries were practically the same, with no difference.

Everyone was astonished. The Human Emperor said solemnly, ”Whether it’s Mid-level Heavenly, Advanced Heavenly Realm or Heavenly Peak, the outcomes are the same after entering and coming out. Could it be that the corrosion power inside adapts to the strength of those who enter?”

”This is possible too!” Taoist Venerable nodded, ”Even the Array we set up can adjust the corresponding power based on the entering individual’s strength.”

”But when we set an Array that adjusts its power according to the incoming person’s strength, there are limits!” The Demon Lord said in wonder, ”Our strength as Strongest can at most adjust to tackle the power of Heavenly Peak. Once it reaches the realm of the Strongest, it’s beyond our adjustment capabilities. What’s the situation with the power inside?”

Everyone looked toward that spot. Their attempts only reached Heavenly Peak level; the Strongest hadn’t tested it yet. What would happen if the Strongest went in for a try?

”Shall we give it a try?” Taoist Venerable was eager to test.

No one answered him, everyone just looked at Su Yang. Whether they could enter this place could only be decided by Su Yang, because the Earth Principle was within him.

”I need to conduct some tests.” Su Yang said, ”Currently, I can bring in a Heavenly Peak because I’m also at the Heavenly Peak realm. To bring the Strongest in, I need to raise the Earth Principle Power to a level capable of countering the Strongest. With my current strength, controlling this is not easy; I need to try several times to proceed.”

Everyone nodded in agreement; this was an undeniable point. After all, the Earth Principle wasn’t so easily controlled.

Even the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet is merely an embodiment of the Heavenly Dao. The Heaven Slayer might have been able to sever the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet, but he wouldn’t dare claim he can sever the Heavenly Dao itself. As for mastering the Heavenly Dao, that’s out of the question.

Su Yang’s situation is similar; although the Earth Principle is within him, he can only use his power to stir up the Earth Principle’s power, thereby eliciting the Earth Principle’s force. He cannot control the Earth Principle, thus precision is not achievable.

For those whose strength is beneath his, attempting poses no issues. However, attempting anything against those far superior to him requires utmost caution.

To verify the group’s hypothesis was correct, that the corrosion power in that area indeed corresponds to the strength of those entering. Afterwards, Su Yang both attempted and explored by bringing in people of varying realm strengths.

Initial Stage of Heavenly Level, Peak of Earth-level, Advanced Earth-level, Intermediate Earth-level, and even Initial Stage Earth Level.

After these individuals entered, the situation was the same; the corrosion results were identical. Differences were minimal due to timing discrepancies from when Su Yang came out.

In the end, Su Yang took hundreds of people for testing, his control over Earth Principle Power became much more precise. Meanwhile, the group’s hypothesis was confirmed—the corrosion power inside indeed corresponds with the strength of those entering.

With testing completed, Su Yang prepared to bring a Strongest in.

The Human Clan now had seven Strongest individuals. Ultimately, the Heaven Slayer chose to be the first to enter.

He is the strongest among the Human Clan’s Strongest and possesses formidable self-preservation capabilities. Even if there is any actual threat inside to the Strongest, he would be comparatively safer.

Standing alongside the Heaven Slayer, Su Yang was at full alert, as he had to muster enough power to enshroud the Strongest, a first-time attempt for him, leaving him unsure of success.

Taking a deep breath, Su Yang slowly used his power to activate the Earth Principle’s power, slowly converging the Power of Earth into a cluster.

To enshroud the Strongest with this Power of Earth and take him into that area, the best approach was to accumulate sufficient power in one go. Once this power was released, it would just enough enshroud the Strongest, and immediately take the Strongest into that area.

If sufficient power couldn’t be accumulated, and the Strongest couldn’t be fully enshrouded, then he couldn’t be taken into this area, and continued extraction of the Earth Principle power would be needed to enshroud this Strongest.

If it were just the act of extracting the Earth Principle power, that wouldn’t be anything to stress. But the issue is that the Earth Principle power, being a power, isn’t under Su Yang’s control.

Once this power enshrouds the Strongest, it essentially means some power is exerted on the Strongest, who must use his own power to counter.

Not only is there a loss in this process, but most importantly, the Strongest cannot use too much power to counter, or it would deplete the Power of Earth completely, rendering all efforts futile. Therefore, the Strongest can only summon minimal power to barely protect himself.

And if the Strongest cannot use too much power to counter, it would lead to an outcome where the counteracting power of the Strongest is lesser than the external Power of Earth. As a result, the Strongest might end up being wounded by the Power of Earth, which would be counterproductive.
