Supreme Warrior in the City

”Hahaha...” The Eternal Main God laughed heartily: ”First God, you really have a petty mind, judging a gentleman with villain’s intent!”

”What I’m saying is not to incite infighting among the Guardian Gods, nor to gain any benefit from it. On the contrary, it is for the benefit of all Guardian Gods!”

”Hehe, you really dare to say that. For the benefit of all Guardian Gods? What have you done?” The First God sneered.

”I’m saying this just to have you give everyone an explanation!” The Eternal Main God said coldly: ”You have exhausted resources to restore the power of the Heavenly Sect, severely impacting the distribution of resources to the rest of us.”

”First God, you must understand, our resources are not yours alone, but all of ours among the Guardian Gods. Since it is the resources of all Guardian Gods, they should be distributed equally, and not for you to exploit others’ resources for your son’s use alone!”

These words immediately stirred a chorus of nodding heads.

On this point, the First God indeed left many dissatisfied. Pouring all resources into the Heavenly Sect truly left other Guardian Gods with little. Many Guardian Gods were privately disgruntled, but the First God held great power, so none dared to speak up.

Now, with the Eternal Main God openly addressing this issue, naturally, there were many supportive voices.

The First God proclaimed loudly: ”Why I use resources on the Heavenly Sect, everyone must know the reason. The Heavenly Sect was once the Strongest, but was heavily injured by the Heaven Slayer while protecting the Guardian Gods, thus falling to this realm. Yet, he has the foundation of the Strongest, and with sufficient Spiritual Energy, he can restore his strength to its peak!”

”The Human Clan watches covetously, their Strongest are slightly stronger than ours. Moreover, I have been trapped by their schemes and my power has not been restored to its peak. If we were to fight against the Human Clan, our strength would still be inadequate. In such a situation, only by enhancing our Strongest can we resist the Human Clan.”

”The strength of the Heavenly Sect is not weaker than those few Strongest among the Human Clan. If the Heavenly Sect can restore his strength, dealing with the Human Clan would give us an overwhelming advantage. Allocating all resources to the Heavenly Sect is something I have to do for us Guardian Gods.”

”Eternal Main God, you say I allocate resources to the Heavenly Sect, yet you never mention why I do so, truly insidious. Trying to make everyone oppose me? Hmph, do you really think everyone is a fool, to be deceived by your few words? Everyone can see and understand what I am doing and why, your mere words cannot sow discord!”

The First God spoke with righteousness, as if truly standing on the side of reason.

However, the Eternal Main God was not at all flustered, smiling mildly: ”First God, since you’ve said it like this, let’s talk about the future. Previously, you concentrated all resources on the Heavenly Sect to deal with the Human Clan. Now that the threat from the Human Clan has been lifted, should you not distribute these resources for everyone’s use?”

The previous words of the First God swayed many around to lean towards him. Now, with a word from the Eternal Main God, these people immediately began to support him.

To them, being able to receive resources is the most important thing. As for other matters, they are not significant.

After all, competing for control over the entire Guardian Gods is not something they can interfere with, only the strongest amongst the Strongest can meddle in such affairs.

And these Guardian Gods most hope for is to gain more resources amid the quarrels of these Strongest, which is of utmost importance to them.

The First God frowning, did not expect the Eternal Main God to set a trap here. Now things were troublesome; he just repeatedly claimed it was to deal with the Human Clan. Now, with the Human Clan’s issue resolved, if he didn’t distribute resources, it would indeed be inappropriate!

However, if he distributed the resources, the Heavenly Sect’s restoration of power would be difficult. Without the support of the Heavenly Sect, thinking of controlling the Guardian Gods again would be nearly impossible.

So now, this matter left the First God in a complete dilemma. He didn’t want to let go of these resources, but the crowd wouldn’t allow him to continue controlling these resources.

After a moment of silence, the First God said solemnly: ”Since the Human Clan issue is resolved, resources naturally should be distributed to everyone, I wholeheartedly agree with this.”

”However, the cultivation of the Heavenly Sect has reached the most critical moment. If we suddenly withdraw the resources at this time, wouldn’t that ruin all of the Heavenly Sect’s previous efforts? Everyone, the Heavenly Sect, too, for the Guardian Gods, has ended up like this. Both emotionally and logically, we should fully help him recover his strength!”

”First God, don’t speak so grandiosely!” The Eternal Main God directly interjected: ”I don’t deny that the Heavenly Sect turned out like this for the Guardian Gods. But what about the rest of us? Haven’t we done something for the grand cause of the Guardian Gods? Everyone present, more or less, has died several times, even the Strongest have suffered heavy wounds and barely recovered. First God, are you going to deny us, deny everyone’s contributions to the Guardian Gods?”

”Speaking of contributions to the Guardian Gods, the Heavenly Sect did, and we all did as well. The Heavenly Sect should restore his strength, but shouldn’t we also restore ours? Everyone has done so much for the Guardian Gods, merely concentrating all resources on the Heavenly Sect alone is unreasonable, isn’t it?”

The words of the Eternal Main God immediately drew support from countless people. These words indeed resonated with everyone’s hearts.

These people, for the Guardian Gods, who hasn’t sacrificed greatly?

The First God’s monopoly on giving all credit to the Heavenly Sect naturally made everyone quite dissatisfied, so naturally, few would support the First God.

Seeing the situation, the First God became somewhat panicked, anxiously saying: ”I’m not saying to deny your contributions, what I mean is that the Heavenly Sect is almost restored. Since this is the case, we should seize this opportunity to let him recover soon. At this point, withdrawing these resources would waste all his past efforts!”

”For the grand cause of the Guardian Gods, who hasn’t sacrificed greatly?” the Eternal Main God said coldly: ”The Heavenly Sect just hasn’t restored his strength, everyone present here has died countless times. First God, why can’t the Heavenly Sect’s efforts be wasted, while others’ efforts can?”
