Supreme Warrior in the City

As soon as the chubby one saw the boundary formed by these stones, he clapped his hands and said, ”No doubt, this must be a farm plot. Look at how the boundary is set up; it’s for marking the land. Oh, and those sorghum seeds, probably crops planted before, but it’s now abandoned, so there’s not much sorghum, just a lot of weeds!”

Su Yang nodded, as he had the same thought.

”Since there’s farmland here, it means someone used to live nearby!” Su Yang looked around, his brows slightly furrowed: ”Looks like we’re about to enter a zone where people used to be active!”

The chubby one suddenly became excited and said, ”Are you saying there are still people here?”

After speaking, he shook his head immediately: ”Damn, there were already people, weren’t there people at the bottom of the valley? What I mean is, there are still others here, more farmers, I thought there was no one here!”

”There indeed used to be people here, not fewer than in the Human World,” Su Yang said, ”but later, no one was left here!”

”Where did the people go?” the chubby one asked, surprised.

”They were killed!” Su Yang shrugged and said, ”Killed by one person, and this world was also refined!”

”Wow, seriously?” the chubby one stared in shock, wide-eyed.

Su Yang glanced at the chubby one; his reaction was quite interesting, shouldn’t you find it cruel?

In fact, Su Yang had heard about that demon’s story. So hearing that he killed everyone in this world and refined it, Su Yang didn’t find it too cruel. After all, what the demon went through was indeed infuriating.

”This farm has been abandoned for quite some time; it seems the farmers who used to plant it are gone too.” Su Yang frowned slightly, looking at the barren land in front, and said in surprise, ”But the strange thing is, why are there no trees growing here? It’s been so many years, such land should have been completely abandoned and covered by forests by now, right?”

”Right, what’s going on?” the chubby one asked, surprised.

Su Yang didn’t speak; he circled around the barren land a few times, trying to release his power to sense the surroundings.

When Su Yang’s power touched the ground, he clearly felt a slight power resisting his power’s intrusion. In other words, besides the seeds and roots originally underground, other seeds couldn’t penetrate the ground.

No wonder after all this time, even though the land is full of weeds, it’s not covered by trees. It turns out that’s the reason. Other seeds couldn’t enter the ground, only the roots of these original crops and weeds could continue to spread, naturally becoming what it is now.

But what exactly is this power on the ground?

Su Yang increased his power to break through the resistance and delve into the ground to investigate. As a result, about three meters underground, Su Yang discovered the source of this power: a small stone emitting a faint yellow glow.

Su Yang immediately dug up the land and took out this small stone.

”What is this thing?” the chubby one curiously looked at the small stone in Su Yang’s hand. This small stone was about the size of a child’s fist, glowing yellow all over, with a faint power fluctuation inside, though the power wasn’t very strong.

Su Yang finally understood how the people in this world cultivated crops. They buried such a stone underground to prevent the seeds of other crops from going down, allowing crops to grow normally here. This method is indeed convenient; even the farmers’ lives in this world are so leisurely.

Holding the small stone, Su Yang glanced around.

”There’s a farmland here, so there must have been a village nearby before, let’s look for it!” Su Yang said.

”Yes, yes, let’s check out the village.” The chubby one immediately became interested: ”We’ve been inside for so long, and except for the people in the valley, we haven’t seen a single person anywhere else, we have to check it out.”

Together, Su Yang and the chubby one searched around for a while and actually found a country path. They followed this path, walking for about more than two hours, bypassing a mountain, and saw many tall buildings in front.

These buildings looked like something out of a human-world palace. Although not as luxurious on the outside, each building was very spacious.

The accumulation of these buildings looked like many palaces put together. However, Su Yang knew very well that these were not palaces. He specially flew into the sky to look down and found that the appearance of these buildings put together looked like a village, with many houses clustered together. However, these houses were very spacious and large, that’s all, nothing particularly special about the rest.

The chubby one was stunned by this, looking at the houses in bewilderment and said, ”What’s going on here? Why are the houses so big? Also, we just ran here for two hours, how do these people live? Our speed is not slow, ordinary people would take a day right? For them to farm a day away from the village? How can they farm this far away? Do these people not understand life at all?”

Su Yang didn’t speak but took the lead towards the village.

The chubby one mumbled a few words, but eventually followed along, as he was still very curious.

At the village entrance, the chubby one whispered, ”Su Yang, be careful, this place is weird, who knows what danger there is!”

”Relax, there won’t be anyone here!” Su Yang replied, the records in the Heavenly Destiny Treasure Book didn’t give him much concern.

Although there are people in the valley, Su Yang always felt the valley’s situation was an exception. The records in the Heavenly Destiny Treasure Book surely wouldn’t be wrong.

”Are you that confident?” the chubby one pouted, but still followed behind Su Yang, cautiously entering the village.

The roads in the village were also very wide, but indeed it looked as if there had been no people for a long time, with everything broken and rundown. These buildings were also piled up with huge stones, so they hadn’t collapsed, if they were made of other materials, who knows what state they would be in now.

The two walked around inside and indeed didn’t encounter a single person, which eased a lot of the chubby one’s worries.

”Let’s go, check inside the house!” Su Yang decided to investigate the houses next.

The chubby one, now bolder, immediately pushed open a large door nearby: ”This house, right here!”

Before he finished speaking, a huge white bone claw suddenly extended from inside the house, slapping the chubby one to the ground!
