Supreme Warrior in the City

The four major sects previously deceived the Heavenly Court to deal with Qi Zhishan, promising a showdown to settle past grievances.

In the end, the four major sects completely deceived the Heavenly Court; they did not confront the Heavenly Court at all. Instead, they took advantage of the Heavenly Court’s preparations and sent people to Heavenly Court’s territory to kill Qi Zhishan.

After this incident, the Heavenly Court was initially very angry and directly crossed the Yangtze River at that time, preparing to start a war with the four major sects.

However, a huge change occurred among the four major sects, with Lingxiao Pavilion and the End of the World rebelling and splitting internally.

Following that, there was no movement from the Heavenly Court either, not even a sound, as they retreated south of the Yangtze River, remaining silent during this time.

This situation made Sect Leader Qi very surprised; he had no idea what had happened. Now, hearing what Peak Master Ling said, he couldn’t help but feel astonished.

”You mean an unexpected situation happened internally in the Heavenly Court, causing their recent calm?” Sect Leader Qi asked.

”Exactly!” Peak Master Ling nodded. ”After all, the Heavenly Court is formed by many overseas forces united together. These people gathered, to put it bluntly, are a bunch of ragtag soldiers, inevitably leading to conflicts. Recently, an Earl has arrived here, and it seems like there’s a power struggle internally, which is why they have been silent recently.”

Sect Leader Qi was overjoyed, ”Really? That’s wonderful, it really is heaven’s help for us. If they fall into infighting, even better. As long as we kill the Second Elder and capture Su Yang, and if the Heavenly Court disperses in their infighting, we’ll truly have full control over Huaxia. At that time, when the Heavenly Court returns, they will definitely view us with newfound respect and surely grant us higher rewards!”

”Hehe...” Peak Master Ling smiled faintly, ”Rewards and the like are not important for now. For us, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and killing the Second Elder is the most critical. Therefore, we absolutely cannot miss this chance!”

Sect Leader Qi nodded immediately, ”You’re right, we absolutely cannot miss this chance. I’ll go prepare right away; this time, we absolutely cannot let them escape. Not only do we need to kill the Second Elder, but we must also capture Su Yang. That bastard, I want to tear him to pieces!”

”Hahaha...” Peak Master Ling laughed upwards, ”Rest assured, this time, I have prepared everything. Not only that, I have already contacted the two vice peak masters from Sky Blade Peak; they are ready to bring people to join our side. This time we go to kill the Second Elder, they may not directly help us, but they can definitely prevent the Sky Blade Peak Master from rushing to the rescue. So, this time, our plan is absolutely foolproof!”

”That’s great!” Sect Leader Qi shouted excitedly, ”Peak Master Ling, once we kill the Second Elder, everything will be thoroughly stabilized for us. With the help of the two vice peak masters from Sky Blade Peak, we can even swallow Sky Blade Peak. By then, without much loss of strength, we will have accomplished everything; it truly is heaven’s help for us!”

Peak Master Ling also had a face full of smug smiles; when he received Su Yang’s message, he meticulously planned everything in his heart, being very confident in his plan.

”I will contact Su Yang and have him prepare to lure out the Second Elder and those like the Jade-faced Judge!” Peak Master Ling said softly, ”We cannot act on a large scale; we must move covertly. Otherwise, if the Second Elder and the Jade-faced Judge know, they probably won’t dare to come out!”

”That’s right, that’s right, I’ll arrange it right away!” Sect Leader Qi left excitedly.

Peak Master Ling watched the back of Sect Leader Qi, a cold smile crossing his face again.

Once this matter is over, with the Second Elder dead and Sky Blade Peak swallowed, the four major sects are still the four major sects. However, among the four major sects by then, the one with the most intact preserved strength will be Lingxiao Pavilion.

Plus, having done so much, Lingxiao Pavilion will naturally become the head of the four major sects, and Peak Master Ling will take the Second Elder’s former position. No, his power will even surpass the Second Elder’s because he is not a fool like the Second Elder!

...

In a hidden manor in a city in the northwest, the Jade-faced Judge quietly listened to the report from the Three-Eyed Ghost King.

”According to the position of Phantom Soul, we sent people to investigate; indeed, Su Yang and Lv Donglin have appeared in those places, our Phantom Pursuer hasn’t failed. However, there’s no news from the Twelve Zodiac Ghost Kings, they did not follow Su Yang and Lv Donglin, and to this day we have not found any trace of them, it’s as if they vanished into thin air!”

Seeing that the Jade-faced Judge had yet to speak, the Three-Eyed Ghost King spoke softly, ”Master, should I personally lead men to kill Su and Lv Donglin? Based on our investigations, Qi Xuan and Deng An are not with them, it should be easy to kill him. This time, I’ll bring more people and act personally, even if Qi Xuan and Deng An are with them, I’m confident I can kill him!”

The Jade-faced Judge glanced at the Three-Eyed Ghost King and finally spoke, ”Three-Eyed, what do you think is the current fate of the Twelve Zodiac Ghost Kings?”

The Three-Eyed Ghost King was taken aback; he was talking about Su Yang, but the Jade-faced Judge pondered the Twelve Zodiac Ghost Kings instead, making it hard for him to keep up.

”They... they most likely perished together with Qi Xuan and Deng An...” the Three-Eyed Ghost King replied, ”These twelve people would never betray you, Master. With no news for such a long time, the only possibility is that they all perished!”

The Jade-faced Judge shook his head slowly, ”I believe they are not dead.”

The Three-Eyed Ghost King was surprised, ”No way, Master, if they aren’t dead, why didn’t they contact us? Could it be that they were captured by Su Yang?”

The Jade-faced Judge did not answer the Three-Eyed Ghost King’s question, instead he asked back, ”Three-Eyed, where do you think the Black Widow, Su Yang’s relatives and friends, and those from the other six major sects have gone?”

The Three-Eyed Ghost King was bewildered by the Jade-faced Judge’s leap of thinking; how could he keep jumping in thought like this?

”They must be hiding in a very secret place; Su Yang is afraid someone will deal with them, so he hid them all away!” the Three-Eyed Ghost King replied.

”So many people, hiding where they can stay so well-hidden?” the Jade-faced Judge whispered, ”Even avoiding my pursuit, don’t you find that peculiar?”

The Three-Eyed Ghost King looked at the Jade-faced Judge in surprise, softly asking, ”Master, do you mean...”
