Moonfire Bride: The One they all betrayed...till she awakened

Selene could not believe what was happening.

She thought she might just pinch herself and wake up from this...silly dream, but it wasn’t a dream.

It was real.

Her stepbrother...was finger-fucking her against a wall.

”What are you—” She tried to speak, but his long fingers brutally pushed into her again, and she held on to him for dear life as her eyes rolled to the back of her head again.

It felt so good!

So disastrously good!

”Nothing can change your mind from wanting to fuck my best friend, huh?!” Cassian whispered tauntingly into her ear, his breath hot against her earlobes.

And so very deep.

It turned her on even more, and she reached over and wrapped both arms around his neck.

”I...,” She couldn’t even reply.

Tears were running down her face, and she was still seeing stars with every wicked thrust. With every maddening sensation that wanted to split her senses into two.

He reached up and squeezed a mound of breast hard enough to make her feel pain, then he twisted and let his claws dig into the sensitive hardness of the nipple.

She cried in his arms again, her voice probably covering the whole brothel.

Her legs were shaking uncontrollably, and everything was spinning around her.

”I’m warning you, Selene,” He growled into her neck, letting his claws drag down the throbbing walls of her pussy, clenching against it as its sharpness threatened to pierce through those nerves, ”Don’t ever do anything that’d make me touch you like this!”

”Cassian...oh...oh...oh... please...,” She erupted right there, shaking so hard she might have started to convulse at some point. She flew to a point she’d never been before, screaming his name so hard he had to press his palm over her mouth to shut her up.

”You’re a fucking whore, sister,” He whispered, looking straight into her red, exhausted but satisfied eyes, ”Cumming so hard into my fingers like that...,”

He slipped his palm away and shoved two fingers into her mouth, watching as she eagerly sucked on it while breathing extremely hard.

Her eyes were still hazy, her movements not slow and lazy, but her heartbeat was still explosive.

”Looks like your satisfaction level is a little good now,” He murmured again, stepping away from her without a care.

She fell to the ground, her body refusing to give her strength while spasms and spasms of orgasm still crashed into her system.

Still looking at him.

Watching him, as he took the last dripping finger of her juices and let his tongue drag all over it slowly, tasting her.

He closed his eyes for a moment, and when he opened them, they were red with desire, ”If one takes too much of this,” He smirked down at her, ”They might pass out drunk,”

She kept shaking on the floor.

He grabbed the wrapped, bent over and threw it over her body again, then he whispered, ”This would be the first and last time, sister. So don’t get used to your stepbrother’s fingers inside of you, okay?”

Then, he chuckled, stood up and walked out of the room.

.

Della stayed awake the whole night.

Sleep never came, no matter how many times she tried, hence she just kept tossing and turning on the floor till she decided she’d had enough and finally sat up.

Malachi was in bed, too. He was facing away from her, the duvet right up to his shoulders. She couldn’t tell from this angle whether he was awake or asleep.

He didn’t move.

The bond was silent.

After a while, she concluded that he was asleep.

Inside her, the mate bond pulsed softly, urging her to move closer to him and lie down.

She ignored it.

She was never going to let him touch her again, no matter how much her soul yearned for his touch. He was someone who had repeatedly shown her that he never genuinely cared about her, and was just after her body and falling under the draw of the bond.

There was nothing more than that.

She had thought he was now different when he had come after her and killed those rogues, but she was wrong.

He would always look at her and see the woman who betrayed him and murdered his daughter. He would always spite her from the coldest place in his heart.

And he would choose everything else over her.

Della’s thoughts went back to what Beatrice had whispered to her, and she curled herself into a ball. Ugly fear clawed up her throat hard.

It was as if her time was now ticking.

The countdown to ten, or rather, nine days from today.

’Thousands of Alphas would gather that day, and they would take you one by one, on that ritual table, and you would feel every single thing they would do to you, and you would try to scream... but you can’t,’

’The pain from their cocks would sniff out your life...bit by bit’

Della curled her toes, trying to shove away her sister’s voice from her head. She drew in several deep breaths to try and steady herself, her fingers trembling as they dug into the skin of her legs.

Nine days.

Suddenly, something purred.

Della stiffened instantly. What the hell was that?!

She first looked up at Malachi, thinking it might be him. But he hadn’t moved an inch, and the voice had sounded very close to her.

Very close.

Almost like the wolf had been right next to her ear.

Another purr came, and a strange sensation settled in through the mate bond. Through the connection that now strung between her, Malachi and... Gideon.

Della almost shot up to her feet, surprised, ”Gideon?” She called.

He purred into her head again, low and hoarse.

She could hardly believe it. Gideon was actually speaking to her telepathically! Through the bond.

”Gideon!” She cried, ”It’s you, right?”

Another low purr.

She had expected him to talk. Wolves can talk. But he probably couldn’t with all the Moonfire he was carrying.

”I can hear you,” She whispered again, this time softly, ”I am here, I promise,”

Another purr.

It was weaker this time, yet it carried something different.

Urgency.

Della frowned, pressing a hand against her chest as the mate bond pulsed again. The warmth no longer drifted lazily through her. It pulled.

”I’m here,” she whispered again. ”I’m listening.”

The purring stopped, and slence settled over the room.

Then, pain that wasn’t hers exploded through the bond so violently that Della gasped, clutching her head as though invisible claws had sunk into her skull.

A howl ripped through her mind distantly, and her vision blurred.

The bedroom vanished, and the floor beneath her disappeared.

”G-Gideon...?”

Darkness swallowed everything.

Then, slowly...there was light.

Not ordinary light.

Blue flames.

Moonfire.

The fire stretched endlessly around her, dancing in impossible circles as voices echoed from every direction at once. Chanting. Ancient. Powerful.

Her heart slammed against her ribs.

She wasn’t dreaming. She wasn’t imagining it.

She was seeing.

Seeing through Gideon’s eyes.

Or perhaps, through his memories.

The first image sharpened, and she saw someone standing in a field.

Short dark hair. Blue eyes. Familiar frame.

A younger Malachi...alive with laughter.

He held a little girl in his arm, and she was giggling as he played with her. Her beautiful blue eyes shone bright against the sun, and his warm, blue gaze looked so enamoured by her.

The sight stole Della’s breath.

”...He was happy.”

The memory then shimmered, and cracked like glass.

The laughter disappeared, and darkness rushed back in and swallowed everything.

The flames around her grew higher, and the chanting chanting became louder.

And another memory forced itself open before her eyes.
