Moonfire Bride: The One they all betrayed...till she awakened

Cassian didn’t move at first.

He just kept staring with that expression that could turn stone into dust. His hands remained buried in his pocket, and he didn’t speak or move for almost a minute.

Two fingers slipped inside of her pussy again, and she kept up the action of fucking herself slowly, letting him watch how deep it went, letting him watch how wet she became and how her breath and heart skipped.

”Aren’t you coming?!” She raised a brow, bringing the fingers to her lips again. This time, she let her tongue run over them, tilting her head a bit and dragging the wet tongue down her dripping fingers, ”Tastes so good, I promise you.”

His eyes flashed with something she couldn’t read; then he finally moved from where he stood.

Cassian approached her with every bit of control, as he’s always done. He stopped in front of her, and she looked up at him expectantly, even winking at him.

”Please, brother,” She lifted the fingers, ”Taste me and tell me what you think of it.”

Cassian looked at the finger, then at his sister’s face. His hands moved, and the next second Selene felt a large cloth being wrapped around her neck, covering her entire body.

She froze for a minute, then pouted.

”Awwnn,”

”How stupid of you to think you could seduce me,” Cassian grunted.

”There is no harm in trying,” She shrugged, ”I mean, Malachi’s hasn’t really been fucking me these days, and my wolf needs the release from a cock. Those whores can only do so much!” She looked at Cassian’s face again and smirked, ”Moreover, we weren’t birthed by the same mother, so if you decided to fuck me right now...I wouldn’t mind.”

”How annoying,” Cassian muttered under his breath.

Selene laughed, then she stood without the wrapper and everything slipped from her body again. She walked up to the dressing mirror and sat down, staring at her reflection.

”Look at me,” She touched her dishevelled hair, ”I’d definitely need at least a four-hour bath to get their scents off me so Malachi never finds out about this,” She sighed.

She looked at him through the mirror, ”And since you didn’t come to a brothel to look for me and fuck me, what could I possibly owe this visit?”

He didn’t hesitate. Usually, he’d beat around the bush a little while getting to the point, but he didn’t this time, ”The night Della escaped, I watched you watch Malachi go to search for her.”

Selene hummed under her breath, relaxing back on the chair.

”And later on, you secretly got on a carriage.”

”Did you follow me?”

He didn’t answer. ”One of the council members of this Pack got a surprise visit from you that night. And suddenly, the Forgotten Law that was buried...was dug out during the council meeting with Malachi.”

”Let’s be honest, brother,” Selene stated, staring at him again through the mirror, ”Malachi needed a little...push. Lately, he’s been finding it hard to resist the Rotblood. He even slept with her. An Alpha and a Rotblood? It’s disgusting, please! It was very clear to me that he could not let her die, and when I saw him go after her that night...I knew she would return alive the next morning, so I did what I had to do.”

”Are you insane?!” Cassian barked angrily, ”You claim you love Malachi, but you put him in such a dangerous position?”

”Oh, for crying out loud! The dang man was losing his senses over the girl. He wouldn’t even kiss me anymore! Moreover, all he has to do is to endure it all for one night. Once he officially makes her his slave, and she somehow survives the mate rejection...he would watch her get raped by hundreds of Alphas and die on that ritual table. Then...,” Selene chucked under her breath, ”He’d be heartbroken for a few weeks or a few months, and I’d be there to hold him again. Soon, we’d be engaged again, and things would go back to the way it used to be. Simple!”

Cassian stared at her as though he no longer recognised the woman before him. For the first time since entering the room, something colder than irritation settled across his face.

”You planned all of this,” he said quietly.

Selene smiled at her own reflection, reaching for a silver comb and drawing it lazily through her hair, ”I planned an opportunity.”

”You manipulated the Council.”

”Manipulation is such a strong word, brother. I simply reminded them of a law they had forgotten.” She shrugged.

”You cornered Malachi.”

”I gave him a choice.”

”You gave him none.”

That finally made her pause, and the comb stopped halfway through her hair.

”He’ll choose the Pack,” she said with absolute certainty. ”He always does.”

Cassian took one slow step forward, ”And if he doesn’t?”

”He will.”

”And if he crowns her?”

She laughed, ”A Rotblood?” She turned in the chair, amusement dancing in her eyes. ”You know Malachi better than that.”

”But you don’t seem to,”

The words lingered between them, and Selene’s smile faltered for the first time.

”I’m saving him from himself.” She folded her arms.

”No.” His voice hardened. ”You’re making sure that if he can’t belong to you...he belongs to no one.”

Then she smiled again, though this time it didn’t quite reach her eyes, ”Is that what you’ve come here to say?”

”I’ve come to tell you to be careful, sister,”

”I am being careful. My only careless action was you finding out... but then, I don’t have to be worried about that. Because my precious big brother would always protect his little sister and his pack, right?!”

More irritation crossed his face.

”See?” She looked back at him, ”You’re so sweet,”

”Stop this nonsense, Selene,” His voice had grown deeper, claws extending out of his fingers.

”Why should I? I deserve Malachi more than anyone else,”

”I’m warning you,”

”I am not moved by your warning,”

He sighed. He really should have stopped this obsession a very long time ago that she had forgotten Malachi.

”What is going to make you stop all this nonsense?” He half-growled, the room trembling with raw, primal energy.

A chill ran down Selene’s spine, but she was positive he wasn’t going to hurt her, which helped her relax a little, ”Nothing, Brother. I am head over heels for that man, and nothing you do or say can stop me!”

”Nothing?!” His eyes flashed with challenge.

”Nothing!”

There was a sharp intake of breath in the room, followed by a small yelp from Selene.

The next second, Selene found herself pressed against a wall with both legs dangling in the air. Cassian’s large frame was pressed against her, his body heat squeezing her lungs of the air out of it while three thick, long fingers were buried so deep inside of her she saw stars!
