135: Chapter 135: A Breakthrough with +10 Experience PointsArriving at the border of the Demon World, Fu Hao, just like Philip had done before, entered the buffer zone separating the Demon World from the otherworld carrying a large amount of Holy Power potions. However, the quantity and quality of the Holy Power potions he carried were vastly different from Philip’s.

”Ugh—!”

”Roar—!”

”Ah—!”

The monsters wrapped in the blood-red demonic energy unique to the Demon World screamed and fled in panic the moment Fu Hao threw the Holy Power potions.

[Obtained 19,200,000 EXP.]

[Obtained 15,900,000 EXP.]

[Obtained 18,000,000 EXP.]

...

Perhaps because the monsters were of a higher level, the EXP gained was much more than expected. Moreover, there was no need to actively gather monsters; they gathered automatically upon smelling the human scent on Fu Hao, making his EXP grow exponentially, as if he were climbing the Training Tower.

About 10 minutes later—

[Level Up.]

Fu Hao had managed to fill the previously stagnant EXP bar and successfully leveled up.

”This is practically a top-tier farming spot? I should have come sooner if I’d known!”

Fu Hao couldn’t help but chuckle wryly. Of course, the definition of a ”top-tier farming spot” was predicated on the tens of thousands of +10 top-tier Holy Power potions stockpiled in his inventory. Even so, as the monster hunting progressed, those seemingly endless potions were being consumed rapidly.

Philip used Holy Power potions to evade monster attacks, but Fu Hao knew that as long as he coated himself with the potion, the monsters wouldn’t approach, so he used them entirely as an offensive tool.

Despite his classes being Enhancement Master and Legendary Knight, he was throwing potions frantically, just like a legendary Holy Power Potion Throwing Master—after all, he had tried the ”Earth Shatter” skill and found that, just like when dealing with vampires in the legendary dungeon, the damage simply wouldn’t go through.

Even more surprising was that besides EXP, there were extra gains:

[Obtained 9 ’Lower-Grade EXP Surge Potions’.]

[Obtained 13 ’Lower-Grade EXP Surge Potions’.]

[Obtained 11 ’Lower-Grade EXP Surge Potions’.]

...

”EXP Surge Potions! How long has it been since I’ve seen these!”

The EXP Surge Potions that Fu Hao had been dreaming of were actually dropping from the monsters. He immediately opened his inventory to check the potion icons, his expression changing with excitement—these items only dropped from Demon World monsters and demons.

After the legendary dungeon, although Fu Hao had the opportunity to subjugate the ten thousand demons created by the Demon King who swept through the capital, he had been focused on repelling the Demon King at the time and hadn’t thought about farming EXP Surge Potions from the demons.

And the Demon King he had been most looking forward to, perhaps because it was a soul entity, didn’t drop this item at all, leaving him deeply disappointed.

The reason Fu Hao was so eager for EXP Surge Potions was simple: this item could also be enhanced. With the help of the six thousand Mimic enhancement legion and the Item Enhancement skill, he could multiply the already exaggerated effects by at least several times.

He even felt that he might be able to achieve the goal of being Rank 1 in Level faster than reaching the top of the combat power rankings. The otherworld had always valued ”first” achievements most, but ”fastest” and ”highest” records were also remembered, so Fu Hao was full of anticipation for the title he would receive upon reaching Rank 1 in Level.

As long as he possessed the ”Beginners Trial” title, and as long as top players like Leonhardt couldn’t gain additional EXP bonuses, Fu Hao reaching Rank 1 in Level was just a matter of time—but if he could do it early, he naturally wanted to do it as early as possible.

To avoid wasting the EXP Surge Potions and to satisfy his overwhelming anticipation, he gave up on direct +7 enhancement and chose to consume two Mimics for enhancement—anyway, the Fates Luck effect of the Mimics was still on cooldown, so he might as well use them.

Just like that, in the buffer zone of the Demon World, Item Enhancement performed by Mimics appeared for the first time. The moment they completed the +10 enhancement, Fu Hao grabbed an EXP Surge Potion to check the effect:

Usage Condition: Level 100. Grade: Rare. * Obtained 10,000,000 EXP. * Surging EXP gain +20%. * Surging EXP gain +20%. * Surging EXP gain +20%. * EXP gain from monster hunting within 10 minutes +70% (Only the highest value of similar effects takes effect). * Surging EXP gain within 10 minutes +70% (Only the highest value of similar effects takes effect). Description: A potion that grants EXP upon use, dropped with a probability when defeating Demon World creatures.

”Hehehe...”

Fu Hao showed a wicked smile upon seeing the enhancement effect. The EXP gain boost of the potion itself was lower than expected, but the +10 effect was good enough to make up for this regret—if he didn’t have the six thousand Mimics as backup, this effect would be trash that wasn’t worth eating, after all, what use is 10 minutes of EXP buff per week?

But for Fu Hao, who possessed Fates Luck, such concerns were completely superfluous.

”Long-awaited grinding session, let’s go!”

He immediately consumed the potion, continued to farm monsters with Holy Power potions, and slowly pushed deeper into the Demon World.

...

As if breaking the prejudice that ”grinding is boring and hard,” Fu Hao enjoyed the fun of grinding in the excitement of the surge. Watching the rapidly rising EXP bar and the constant level-up prompts, he had unknowingly reached the entrance to the Demon World.

”We’re here already?”

Relying on his astonishing movement speed, Fu Hao crossed the Demon World border area faster than Philip. During this time, his level increased by a full seven levels, which was an upgrade speed far beyond common sense for his level bracket.

Fu Hao looked back at the densely distributed monsters, feeling unsatisfied. The path he had walked was as clean as if it had been purified, with no traces of monsters, but since he had walked in a straight line, there were still a large number of monsters around that hadn’t been cleared. After a brief hesitation, he shook his head and turned towards the Demon World entrance.

”It’s been a long time since I’ve had a proper stream.”

Fu Hao loved the otherworld game and enjoyed the fun of streaming. Except for a brief stream when the World Tree riot was resolved, he hadn’t started a stream for a long time—aside from the income, he desperately wanted to interact with the audience as soon as possible.

Many people think that streaming is just for making money, and of course, he didn’t deny that. But Fu Hao deeply realized that the reason streamers find it hard to give up is more because of the joy of communicating with the audience and the sense of accomplishment of being recognized.

Before the official operation in the Demon World, it would be nice to stream the footage of himself farming monsters with the evolved adult dragon, Xiaojin. But he hadn’t forgotten the Five Great Guilds members in the Demon World—the five hundred guild members he had left in the Demon World had grown to an extent that could not be underestimated in a short time, and had even gained a foothold in the Demon World.

Perhaps knowing that even if they announced that the Demon World resources were abundant, other players wouldn’t be able to enter, the Five Great Guilds streamed the exploration process in detail, which made Fu Hao more vigilant about this variable—this was also the reason why he didn’t use Xiaojin when farming monsters at the border: if the news of Xiaojin’s evolution leaked early, it couldn’t be used as a secret weapon.

Moreover, without the assistance of Holy Power, it was hard to say whether Xiaojin could fight against the Five Great Guilds members by relying on numbers, let alone deal with the Demon King behind the guilds at the same time.

If the Five Great Guilds joined forces to surround him with the Demon King, he would have to flee the Demon World first and come back after accumulating strength—in other words, to resume regular streaming as soon as possible, no matter what the Five Great Guilds did, he had to complete his goal quickly before they could react.

However, Fu Hao wasn’t too worried about obtaining the necessary items in the Demon World—the Five Great Guilds provided detailed information about the Demon World through streaming, and Fu Hao didn’t need to step on the same pitfalls they had.

”It was a truly wise decision to send the Five Great Guilds to the Demon World first.”

Before arriving at the Demon World entrance, Fu Hao took the time to organize the Demon World information leaked by the Five Great Guilds, and a smile curled the corners of his mouth. At first, he thought this was trouble he had created like a snowball, but he didn’t expect the guild members to ”intimately” disclose all precious information through streaming, saving him the trouble of exploration.

The otherworld is a game with a high degree of freedom, and although everything is possible, it is precisely because of this that players are often confused by too many choices.

In such a world, the power of information is crucial, especially information about the Demon World where no one had set foot before. Who would have thought that the five hundred vanguard troops would disclose such precious information item by item?

While grateful, Fu Hao’s past grudges seemed to melt away. Of course, the Five Great Guilds might firmly believe that Fu Hao could never enter the Demon World, but unfortunately, they were wrong—thanks to the help of the Seven Legends, Fu Hao possessed Demon World access permissions that even Leonhardt didn’t have.

After arriving at the Demon World entrance, Fu Hao disguised himself as a demon using a mysterious-type item and reached out to touch the barrier.

[Human race is prohibited from entering the Demon World.]

”...?”

Fu Hao stared at the prompt box with an ”Are you kidding me” expression, but soon a new prompt popped up:

[Possess ’First Hero’ title, allowed to enter the Demon World.]

”That’s more like it.”

He passed through the barrier easily, and the prompt box that popped up immediately after brought not disappointment, but surprise:

[First time visiting the Demon World as a human race.]

[Obtained title ’Demon World Explorer’.]

[First time visiting five or more areas known as ’Places Unreachable by Humans’.]

[Obtained title ’Great Explorer’.]
