Beastmaster of the Ages

”Yeah! There’s still hope! The only shame is that we clansmen can only be his burden and can’t help much,” said the violet titanic dragon.

”That isn’t necessarily true. Who knows, maybe other worlds also have flameyellow cosmic gods like us! You have to remember, the Upper Star Ruin’s a dark universe. Who’s to say there aren’t still clansmen of ours hidden out there? Maybe they aren’t even bound by heavenly shackles. Other worlds might’ve given birth to cosmic gods like you and me, too!” Long Xing solemnly said.

”I’ve always held hope for the future, because only hope can give life purpose. If everything was hopeless, what meaning would there be in struggle? I firmly believe in one thing: we flameyellow divinities must be the strongest race in this universe! Even if we’re suppressed by the Heavenly Dao right now, I believe we have something extraordinary within us, and that very thing will allow us to change our fate!”

”That’s true....” The violet titanic dragon nodded, its inner fire reigniting. Once, everything had been dark and hopeless. But now hope had been born.

”Besides, you’re wrong about one more thing!” Long Xing’s eyes shone. ”Who said we can’t help? The emperor’s no ordinary person—he can harness the power of the people. Every clansman fights alongside him. There may only be five billion of us now, but the entire Upper Star Ruin has many fortuna-class worlds. If he rises to fame here, then one day... the Galactic Emperor of the Tianming Dynasty in the Lower Star Ruins will expand to every fortuna-class world.”

It was a lofty dream, but above all, it was faith!

”So we can’t belittle ourselves. We must fight for our ideals, for survival, and for all our kin!” Long Xing could see that the cosmic gods like Yanri Huang had already arrived at the ashes of Fentian Mound, but thanks to Yin Chen’s precise control over timing and distance, Long Xing had already long since evacuated.

”History will prove that our race, even under the suppression of the Heavenly Dao, is no lower than any other. Our ancestors created the Heavenly Dao and established the divine path! How wise were they? As descendants, we chase the light of our forebears. We’re willing to die for our ideals!”

The figure of Fentian He descended above the ruins of Fentian Mound.

Behind him, the demonic figure of the deva Hei Xuan also arrived in a sinister fashion. Her eyes were eerie and enchanting as she stood beside Fentian He, both of them gazing down at what had once been the city of the Fentian clan.

There, more than half of the beastmasters bore the surname Fentian.

The city, originally built by flameyellow descendant laborers, had been reduced to ashes. Beneath those ashes were pools of blood and mountains of piled corpses. The few living left behind could only scream in despair and mourning.

”This was practically a genocide....” Hei Xuan’s eyes twitched as she looked at Fentian He.

Something like this was incredibly rare across the entire Upper Star Ruin. Even when the Eightpart Pantheons clashed, they never went so far. If it were any other smaller power daring to strike the pantheons in fortuna-class worlds this hard, they would suffer a thunderous retaliation.

But to be wiped out by slaves? That was an unprecedented disgrace, and might go down in history as the only incident of its kind in the Upper Star Ruin.

One could only imagine how colorful Fentian He’s expression was at that moment.

”Fentian He, I’m sorry. I came as fast as I could... but I was still too late! Long Xing must’ve been hiding near Fentian Mound all this time. He attacked the moment you left and this all happened in the span of a minute....” Yanri Huang looked apologetic, though his expression was also filled with rage.

As cosmic gods, they knew full well their destructive power. If it weren’t for the fear of Long Xing, the slave rebellion back when they had stormed out of the various cities couldn’t possibly have succeeded. They would have been instantly crushed! How could three billion people have escaped?

Yanri Huang turned toward the youngest cosmic god. Flames were leaking out of his eyes, ears, mouth, and nose as a storm of fire brewed within. He clenched his fists and his face twisted as his fury soared to the heavens.

Fentian He threw his head back and roared in fury. A column of flame ten thousand meters thick erupted from his mouth, piercing the sky and slamming into the Starmoon Guard Formation, causing it to violently shake.

His roar of rage lasted for over a hundred breaths. What little remained of Fentian Mound collapsed, and many of the Fentian clansmen still struggling to live were directly wiped out.

”Good grief... he’s so furious he even killed his own people! What a savage!” Bai Ye watched from afar, stunned.

“An idiot... that one,” Yin Chen sneered in disdain.

Fentian He finally finished venting.

The surrounding cosmic gods, including the honored guest Hei Xuan, could only remain silent.

Across Starmoon Haven, whether it was the Starfall or Sundown Pantheons, everyone wore ugly expressions upon hearing the news of the massacre. It was a slap in the face to all of them. Once news spread, all of the Midsky Tristars would erupt. The impact would be ten times greater than the incident at the divine tomb.

Fentian He was furious beyond words and the other cosmic gods couldn’t save face, either. They could already foresee that from now on, the Eightpart Pantheons of the Midsky Tristars might all be unable to lift their heads.

But even so, they could hardly launch a large-scale counterattack against the flameyellow descendants. The heavenly oath they had sworn would hold for twenty years, and there were still over ten years to go. None dared violate it.

Fentian Mound fell into silence.

”Long Xing and Li Tianming must die! The ten billion slaves of the Midsky Tristars must be exterminated! If we have no one left to do the menial work, we’ll just go buy more slaves from elsewhere!” Fentian He’s eyes burned with thunderous wrath.

”Alright!” Even if they had to pay, the devastation of Fentian Mound required a heavy response, lest the elders lose all face.

At that, Fentian He took out a transmission stone. From it, the male and female figures of the wonderian cosmic god, Mo, appeared.

”Any news on the treasure of Saturatia-49?” Fentian He asked in a low voice.

”Not yet,” Male Mo said. Their names were strange, but that was indeed what they were called.
