Beastmaster of the Ages

Tianming took a deep breath as he watched his mother-in-law marvel at the majestic sight of the moving Sun. The journey took around seven days. Near the Yin-Yang World, a vortex opened up and let the pink Sun out of the Flameyellow Divine Path. From the Yin-Yang World, one would have the best seat in the house to witness the majesty of the sight.

Even the chaotic Yin-Yang World seemed to pale in comparison to the magnificent pink world. The Yin-Yang World’s monochrome butterfly appearance had heavily contorted, causing its energy to escape. Even if Tianming didn’t make use of that energy himself, it would eventually fizzle out and become space debris.

”Everyone, get in astralships first.” As there were only a few thousand people present on the Sun, it was really easy to let people board for protection.

Upon arrival, Tianming fired up the Flameyellow Divine Pillars. The pink pillars stretched out from the Sun and turned it into a sea-urchin-like creature, covered in spikes.

”Stab it!” Ji Ji excitedly cried.

Tianming moved the Sun onto a collision course toward the butterfly world. The spikes slammed into its surface where the fusion formation was the most compromised. At the infinitum class, the Flameyellow Divine Pillars were especially hard and stiff, easily piercing the butterfly without resistance.

”Whoa!” It was a sight to marvel at.

”The Flameyellow Divine Pillars sure are thick indeed!” Suishen Xiyue exclaimed. They were so huge that the Yin-Yang World’s appearance was messed up by the contact!

Then the Sun began sucking in power through the straw-like pillars. It was a rather violent process. When the Blissful Union went to gather yin-yang essence, the ship itself would refine the energy so the Sun could more gently assimilate it. However, the Sun was currently sucking the energy directly from the source. It violently passed through the pillars, like fierce demons that charged straight for the Sun’s core.

”Ji Ji, are you doing okay?” Tianming asked.

Initially, Ji Ji didn’t answer and the sun continued rumbling. It felt like its fusion formation was being taxed to the breaking point. But soon, the formation stabilized and began expanding at a steady rate.

Ji Ji said, ”It’s done. There’s no issue.”

The Flameyellow Imperial Star and First Aeonic Ancestral Star made for a ridiculous combination. After that, Tianming patiently waited. Nobody else said a single word as they stared at the Sun’s vampiric growth. The Yin-Yang World seemed to wither away into complete oblivion.

Jiguang, Suishen Xiyue, and the other Myriadpath Valley cultivators had never witnessed anything like it; it truly left a deep impression on them. They had finally learned what the Flameyellow Imperial Star was: a star that’d fallen from the Upper Star Ruin. They also began fathoming the kind of legacy that had supported Tianming this entire time.

It’s no wonder that brat managed to conquer Myriadpath Valley and let his dynasty take root there. His background is incredibly profound, Suishen Xiyue thought. It seemed like she had to work even harder from now on. Even though she was his mother-in-law, she couldn’t afford to let the others around Tianming outshine her.

Just like that, the terrifying worlds of the Minor and Major Yin and Yang, where Suishen Xiyue had been lost for a century, disappeared from existence. The only thing that remained was a flaming pink star nine times the size of Ebonia!

It was easily the largest infinitum-class world that Tianming had ever seen! The fusion formation was completely exposed on its surface, seemingly channeling pink energy dragons of power. The Yin-Yang World was history, having nourished the Sun even more.

”I finally don’t have to worry about it falling back to infinitum class any longer. It’s a shame that it hasn’t grown to fortuna class yet.” But Tianming hadn’t been counting on it to reach the fortuna class in the first place. After all, the Yin-Yang World had been abandoned for far too long and had lost too much energy, so there wasn’t enough in the first place.

”The key difference between a fortuna- and infinitum-class world probably isn’t just the size. There’s something more fundamental!” he said.

”I think we’ve absorbed quite a bit. Should we also consume the imperial capital and move everyone to the Flameyellow Imperial Star to see if it can grow to the fortuna class?” Ji Ji excitedly said.

”What’re you thinking? The Myriadpath Celestial Formation is built above the imperial capital! Without it, the formation would collapse! I’d be completely giving up on this Lower Star Ruin completely!” Tianming snapped. The imperial capital served an important role as his home base. As it would take a while for him to find a firm footing in the Upper Star Ruin, he couldn’t just give up on a stronghold he had worked so hard to build!

”What’s more pertinent is that absorbing Myriadpath Valley isn’t even a guarantee that the Sun will reach the fortuna class!” Tianming said.

”Why not?” Ying Huo asked.

”It’s written over here!” Tianming pointed at the Flameyellow Atlas.

Ying Huo looked at the atlas and saw the words that spelled its name shift into a row of words that read: ’Those who desire fortuna need to obtain the middlekin star’!

”If the Sun’s to advance back to the fortuna class, it needs something called a middlekin star?” Ji Ji widened its eyes as it read the words.

”What’s a middlekin star?” Lan Huang asked.

”Perhaps it’s a special kind of nova-source world that only exists in the Upper Star Ruin,” Ji Ji guessed.

”Maybe you’re right!” Tianming looked at the third and most important destination on the atlas apart from the Yin-Yang World and Myriadpath Valley. At that moment, the text changed again and read: ’Flameyellow’s reascension to its peak shall increase support with the Divine Path and Atlas.’

Tianming understood it even more now. The Flameyellow Divine Path was absolutely crucial. As for the Flameyellow Atlas, it was vague about everything else apart from the Middlekin Star Ruin.

”In other words, the Flameyellow Imperial Star needs even more mass to hold steady within the Flameyellow Divine Path and reach other places. Only then will the Sun be able to reach any place that’s recorded in the atlas!” It wasn’t that the current Flameyellow Atlas didn’t want to light up more; it simply couldn’t display destinations that the Sun couldn’t travel to.

”So the Middlekin Star Ruin might be the closest to the Upper Star Ruin for the Sun in its current state to traverse!” It wasn’t surprising, since Myriadpath Valley was a world that had fallen from that Middlekin Star Ruin.

”So, we need to go to the Middlekin Star Ruin to find a middlekin star that’ll transform the Sun into a fortuna-class world and activate the atlas to its full extent!” Tianming couldn’t wait.

”Where’s Feng right now?” Tianming asked Bai Ye.

”He’s in a maniverse-class world that serves as the home base of the wonderians, Saturatia-49,” Bai Ye said after getting the answer from the wonderian sisters.

”Then we have to make the atlas unlock that destination as soon as possible.” Tianming immediately bid farewell to Jiguang, Suishen Xiyue, and Yaoyao to prepare his next move. ”You should all go back to the imperial capital and wait for me. If the mobile stareye works, I’ll come back to see you soon.”

”What if it doesn’t?” Yaoyao pouted.

”Then I’ll move the entire Sun back to see you,” Tianming said with much bravado. ”Auntie, there’s a world called Gladeus in Infinitum. I once borrowed nova source from it, so I intend to return it. Send them some yin-yang essence. If anyone there wants to go to a better place, bring them to Ebonia. Any good candidates should be welcomed into the imperial capital as well!” Tianming gave a final instruction in case he couldn’t easily travel back.

”Okay!” The three of them boarded the Blissful Union and flew off. Tianming tapped the final destination on the Flameyellow Atlas.

”Course set for: Upper Star Ruins, Desolate Starsands, Middlekin Star Ruin! Flameyellow Divine Path, activate!” the ship announced.

Wudi, Qingyu, and Moran stood by Tianming’s side. They would be his core fighting force. The Sun dove into the sea of black and gold and flew toward the endless ocean of stars ahead.
