Beastmaster of the Ages

”You!” Even though Sixth knew what move was coming, it still looked down on it. From its shriek, it was clearly in pain. As the waves swept through the cloudy spiritform mass, quite a lot of its astrons were destroyed, causing Sixth to split into a few distinct segments.

”Aaagh! Li Tianming, it hurts! I’ll kill you!” Sixth howled, its voice sharp and harsh.

Tianming’s head hurt from the screaming alone. It was grating enough to tear astral brains apart. What a monstrous soul creature!

That hurt it! Tianming didn’t want to kill Sixth outright. It was a huge taboo for a beastmaster to kill their own lifebound beast. Not to mention, if Sixth was so easy to kill, it wouldn’t have been causing them so much trouble in the first place.

”Be careful!” Ji Ji warned.

Tianming saw that a few chunks of white clouds still remained after he had used Vitasteal and his second totemic calamity, though they seemed to have considerably dimmed. The lifeforms that Sixth had been sucking power away from were out cold, which was good news!

But the bad news was that Sixth had grown even more enraged. Ji Ji still had Vaporize in its arsenal, but it was rather hard to control its power in a confined space like they were in. Tianming and Moran might get caught up in the attack. Not to mention, Sixth had gone completely berserk after getting hurt. What remained of the sea of clouds began shrieking again and swooping toward Tianming.

”It hurts! To hell with you!” Sixth continued shrieking.

It was rather hard for the Sky Plundering Eye to lock down many parts of the white sea of clouds. Before Ji Ji could react, one of them completely swallowed Tianming up, locking him down!

In the next instant, countless spiritform astrons flowed into Tianming’s astrons like liquid, ’fusing’ with them like Ying Huo and the others did. However, Sixth’s astrons mostly flooded toward his brain! It had far too many in terms of absolute amount, easily numbering ten thousand times more.

Such a large number of extra astrons flooded straight into Tianming’s brain! It was Sixth’s unique trait. Even before symbiotically cultivating, it had more astrons the more omnisentient power it absorbed. In a sense, it could be seen as a kind of swarm, like Yin Chen but with individual spawns that were smaller than insects!

It would have been fine if only a small portion of those astrons entered Tianming’s brain, but nearly a hundred thousand times the volume of his astral brain’s astrons flooded in. There was no way the Skysoul Tower could hold up against that.

Even more crucial was the fact that Sixth was technically Tianming’s lifebound beast, so the tower’s defenses didn’t activate to the extent that they should. Even with Sixth so heavily weakened, it was still too powerful for Tianming thanks to its faux-omnisentient power. What a monster!

All the clouds, the tiny infants, split up into nine respective areas that instantly occupied Tianming’s brain, squeezing his soul into some random corner. His head felt heavy, while his limbs were light. His head was about to explode! Considering that his vita wasn’t one of his strong points, he shuddered at the notion that he had been locked into a cage with a soul-type lifebound beast.

”Where is your vita? It’s so small that it wouldn’t even fill one mouthful for me! Hahahaha!” Sixth had dreamed of this moment and began to feast. It wouldn’t give Tianming any chances. ”From this moment on, the universe shall finally welcome the era of the Invincible Ultimate God of Old!”

Within Tianming’s brain, every single Order-Relic-shaped astron was wrapped in more than a hundred thousand of Sixth’s own astrons. The disparity in strength was clear; Tianming’s astrons were far too few in comparison, and Sixth’s were incredibly nourished.

”I’m digging in!” A dark fog began forming around Tianming’s astrons. It was as if Sixth’s astrons had mouths! Cavities opened up on them as they consumed soul power to increase their number, treating Tianming’s astrons like snacks. As it began to wolf around, however, Sixth was suddenly stunned. ”What’s this?! Why’s it so hot?!”

Sixth’s astrons merely licked the dark fog, only for it to suddenly infect them and dye them black! In an instant, all of Sixth’s astrons spat out Tianming’s astrons. Tianming had never imagined that he would ever see the sight of his own astrons being puked out by other astrons in such a human manner.

”Ach! It stinks! How disgusting! Bleeeergh!” Sixth’s voice in his head was so grating that Tianming couldn’t stand it anymore. He had been so terrified the moment Sixth had started to feast that he felt that everything had darkened. There was nowhere for his soul to escape! He had even considered using Fatesteal to see if the heavenly mysteries had something to reveal to him before Sixth spat him out.

”Li Tianming, is your brain filled with nothing but shit?! Bleeeergh!” Sixth couldn’t take it and puked while still in Tianming’s brain. Every single astron that had just tried to consume Tianming’s puked like mad to force out the black fog from within.

”Bleeergh! Oh heavens! Why does it stink so bad?!”

Tianming was stupefied the entire time, until he finally remembered something. ”Is that my... evil impulses?!” To think that that would have saved him out of nowhere!

Sixth had already been weakened, and the failed assault only made it even weaker. It couldn’t hold on any longer. ”Your brain’s a shithole! Aaaagh! Save me!”

It had completely crumbled and scrambled to leave Tianming’s brain. To a pure soul like it, it was an absolute nightmare. It wanted out immediately!
