Beastmaster of the Ages

Territory. Inheritances. Bloodline. All of it had been left behind by generations of Lin Clan seniors. It was all thanks to them that the Lin Clan members of today enjoyed a lofty status. Treachery in the council hall was a grave sin that the clan couldn’t accept!

Lin Yun and Lin Zijing’s deaths caused the emotions of the people in the Infinitum Swordsea to boil over.

“Lin Jie, surrender!”

“Accept the clan’s punishment!”

“Stop the battle at the council hall!”

“More of the Lin Clan members rushed over and shouted.

Lin Jie’s response was to blast the black star with the Judgment. The black star was consumed by black and white flames.

“Lin Feng!”

The next moment, everyone saw that the black star was unharmed. All of the nova source on its surface had been sucked into the hexagonal aperture, the star’s appetite seemingly endless.

The next moment, an attack that was exactly the same as the Judgment’s was spat out of the aperture. There was a bright black and white flash as the astralship was struck and sent crashing into a distant mountain.

“It’s a miracle!”

“Lin Jie, you’ve lost!”

“Surrender! Surrender!”

The entire clan’s shouts formed a wave that struck Lin Jie. He spat out a glob of blood as he venomously looked at the black star. He hadn’t expected Tianming to transform and ruin his plans.

“It’s fine. Tianxi and the alien monster should be thinking of a way to handle this. The duel on Mount Taia should also remove those two eyesores.” At that moment, a gold transmission stone lit up in Lin Jie’s hands.

The figure on the other end only said one sentence before cutting off the line. “Chi Hun has fallen and it was likely Yi Daiyan’s machinations, run now if you haven’t succeeded yet!”

Lin Jie dropped the transmission stone to the floor. Then he staggered backward and fell to the ground. “I fell into the abyss when I was just one step from the throne of the Lin Clan.” All of his ambitions over the years had turned into pain. “How could Lin Xiaodao be so strong? How could the current Lin Clan have such luck?”

It was the clan he had been disappointed in!

Then he saw the black star advancing toward the Judgment. It was thanks to the astralship that he had avoided Lin Yun’s fate for the moment. He hurriedly shifted all its nova source to its mobility as he remembered the order to ‘run now’!

The Judgment immediately overcame the devouring force and sped off into the sky.

“Swordgod Lin Clan, Infinitum Swordsea…. I’ll be back one day, and through the front door at that!” Lin Jie said with all the venom he could muster. However, the merciless black star had imprinted itself in him as a nightmare.

……

Although Lin Jie had survived, seeing him fleeing like a rat was enough to help the Lin Clan members feel like their anger had been vented.

As for his four thousand astral god followers, they all fell to their knees, filled with despair and regret.

The winner was king.

The council hall conflict was more or less over; however, people were still afraid as Tianxi and the alien monster hadn’t shown their faces yet. They’d been about to, but Tianming’s transformation had made them rethink it.

The fight inside the council hall was still ongoing.

The first branch master, Lin Chongyao, excitedly ran into the council hall and shouted, “Lin Yun and Lin Ziqing are dead! Lin Jie has run away! You all might be allowed to live if you surrender.”

He noticed that the Fishguts had a hole in it, but the ladies inside were fortunately fine.

Lin Chongyao’s younger brother, Lin Chongjing, had clearly seen what’d happened outside. “Run!”

“You all can run, yes. But what about your wives? Your children? Do you still want your descendants to be branch masters?” Lin Xiong sneered.

The five traitors froze. Apart from Lin Chongjing, the remaining four were all of their branch’s main lines of descent!

“Let’s kneel to the ancestors!” Lin Chongjing said.

All of them fell to their knees with looks of utter despair.

“Lin Chongjing, kneel to father!” Lin Chongyao angrily roared.

“Lin Chongyao, fine, you win this time! But don’t laugh too soon. After the second patriarch dies and Lin Jie returns, I won’t give up as long as you don’t kill me!” Lin Chongjing snarled, then knelt toward the ancestral hall.

“Childish.” Lin Chongyao reminded Lin Xiong and the rest to take care of Feiling and the rest, then flew out.

Everyone was still watching the black star. What was it doing? Had it scared off Tianxi and the alien monster? They all wanted their questions answered.

“Protect him!” The Lin Clan members present all surrounded the black star and held hands, keeping it in the center.

The black star seemed to have used up much energy and was falling into hibernation mode. Then it began sinking, shrinking as it descended toward the council hall.

Lin Chongyao flew the Phantavoid over. “Lin Feng should still have his rationality and is preparing to go into the council hall!”

The black star had shrunk to a hundred meters in diameter. It was already touching the formation when Lin Chongyao felt a fatal sense of danger as one streak of golden light and one streak of black light shot toward the shrinking star!
