Beastmaster of the Ages

”Yi Daiyan! Isn’t she supposed to be straightforward and impatient? There’s only one reason for her not to stand up to such a challenge to her authority, and that’s me! She hates the Grandnorth Dongshen Clan because I’m a Dongshen! She can’t even control the Infinitum Bodhimanda, so how’s she qualified to be the First Rex Mundi?” Dongshen Yue said, her eyes red.

”Yue’er, calm down.” Patting her on the back, Lin Xiao patiently said, ”In all fairness, what you just said is unreasonable. Two old people like us can’t influence her decisions. I think there’s only one reason she would choose to evade their provocation. She’s still young and has unlimited possibilities for growth, while the one from the ebons is past his prime. The gap between them will only continue growing wider! One day, she’ll be able to crush the other like an ant. If she’s self-serving and doesn’t care what the world thinks of her, then there really isn’t a need for her to confront the ebons at this time.”

Tianming agreed with Lin Xiao; however, the truth was even more depressing for Dongshen Yue. The more she cared, the more it hurt. She was controlled by anger. There was hatred and worry in her eyes.

”Can no one stop the ebons? If the rules of the Infinitum Bodhimanda can be broken, then what’s the point of it all? We might as well just split up. From now on, there’ll be war in the Infinitum Mundus and the winner takes all. How many will die every year?” Dongshen Yue mourned.

Peace was in fact the greatest significance of the Infinitum Bodhimanda.

”Don’t lose your head, justice will definitely prevail,” Lin Xiao said, his gaze deep. Then, turning to Tianming, he added, ”Feng’er, we’ll arrive at Mount Taia soon. Stay in the council hall and be careful.”

”Yes.” Tianming obediently nodded, not saying more. He knew he would be in danger once Lin Xiao appeared on Mount Taia. However, he couldn’t bear for Dongshen Yue to watch her clan perish. One’s bloodline, clan, and inheritance were of the utmost importance.

”Grandpa, Grandma, you must stay alive! You must!” Tianming said to himself as the gold transmission stone dimmed, his voice hoarse. There was nothing he could do to change the situation, since he wasn’t important enough to call the wind and summon the rain yet.

......

At that time, the ebons’ ground forces had already evacuated Mount Taia. Wildbeasts from the world below had submerged, hiding in the depths. Their numbers were still increasing. In no time at all, there would be too many of them to be counted. The war had temporarily come to a stalemate.

In order to save power, the Dongshen Scorching Sun Guard Formation had dimmed because it was temporarily limited. It transformed into a silver moon, embedded in Mount Taia like a pearl in the night sky. Above the pearl was an eye-catching silver needle and a scarlet eye, the Silverpiercer and the Nethersoul. At that moment, a gigantic black sword that rivaled the two ebon astralships whizzed across the air from the south, appearing above the Dongshen Clan’s guard formation. The arrival of the black sword aroused cheers from many of the Grandnorth Dongshen Clan. They all knew who it was.

Unfortunately, Lin Xiao could only represent himself, not the Swordgod Lin Clan. The Lin Clan wasn’t united, so even the slightest mistake would propel Lin Jie and the others back to power, meaning their clan would be completely controlled by the ebons.

Upon seeing the black sword, people aboard the Nethersoul started to talk.

”It’s Lin Lao’er!”

”He came? I heard his performance in the Infinitum Swordsea was very impressive, but he’s courting death if he’s here to fight us!”

”In the Oldgod Domain, his grandson....”

The ebon experts looked cold and murderous.

Chi Hun chuckled. Heading to a corner, he pulled out a gold transmission stone, and said, ”They’re here. Inform Tianxi and Lin Jie. They can get started.”

”Ok.”

Chi Hun put away the gold transmission stone and smiled. ”Let’s go meet the old fox of the Swordgod Lin Clan.”

”Yes!”

The Nethersoul opened up and a group of ebon experts leisurely emerged. There was no grief or indignation for the death of eighty thousand of their people on their faces. Instead, they were happy and content, like judges of fate. They must have trained themselves to be so shameless.

Two people exited the black sword in front of them, Lin Xiao and Dongshen Yue

”Oh, it’s Second Patriarch Lin and Granny Dongshen. It’s only been a few days since we last met in the Oldgod Domain—who would’ve thought we’d meet again? Ebonia is really small, isn’t it?” Chi Hun said with a smile on his face.

”It’s only been a few days, yet your Nethersoul was repaired so quickly,” Lin Xiao icily said. Many people still vividly recalled the image of the Nethersoul exploding.

At the thought of Tianxi’s operation in the Infinitum Swordsea, Chi Hun coldly laughed in his heart. He didn’t care at all. He shrugged, tilting his head as he asked, ”Did the two of you rush all this way to mediate?”

”Mediate? Chi Hun, by leading your ebon army and openly attacking a clan within the Infinitum Bodhimanda with your astralships, you’ve seriously violated the rules. According to the rules of the Infinitum Bodhimanda, you, as the instigator, should be put to death. Anyone who participates is a criminal!” Dongshen Yue shouted. Her words were echoed by members of the Dognshen Clan.

”Hahaha!” The ebon experts weren’t angry at all. Instead, they roared with laughter, looking at Dongshen Yue as if she were a fool.

”You’re getting old so you must be confused. You can’t even tell right from wrong!”

”Don’t you know who’s the one that broke the rules of the Infinitum Bodhimanda? Age has made you blind.”

Each of the ebons had something to say.

”Silence!” This time, Chi Hun sounded solemn.

Turning to Lin Xiao and Dongshen Yue, he loudly said, ”Since the two of you have brought the matter up, I’ll take the opportunity to announce to the world and the Infinitum Bodhimanda that the cause of this incident is Dongshen Zhuojun, who forcibly seized an ancient artifact that our clan had obtained. He didn’t hesitate to viciously kill three thousand members of our clan, as well as hundreds of others from three Infinitum Regal Clans to accomplish this, thereby violating the rules of the Infinitum Bodhimanda and committing a serious crime!

“I, Chi Hun, have been entrusted by the other three clans with the task of enforcing the rules, capturing Dongshen Zhuojun, and retrieving the artifact. However, we never expected that the Grandnorth Dongshen would protect the criminal and activate their guard formation with the intent to resist all four clans. In order to uphold justice, we had no choice but to force our way into the formation. Beyond anything we could have foreseen, the Grandnorth Dongshen Clan killed eighty thousand ebon warriors with the artifact and guard formation! They’ve committed a heinous crime!

“The entire Grandnorth Dongshen Clan is violent and lawless. They’re all guilty! The ebons are an important part of the Infinitum Bodhimanda. We have five of the top ten reges mundi and are also joined by three Infinitum Regal Clans, all of which gives us the authority to enforce the law. Therefore, we must form the Rex Mundi Alliance to take down this immoral clan, let these evildoers be punished by the law, and return Ebonia to fairness and justice!

“The rules of the Infinitum Bodhimanda are inviolable! The Grandnorth Dongshen Clan has gone against morality and righteousness. They’ll definitely be kicked out of the Infinitum Bodhimanda and be severely punished as a warning to others. Anyone that shields these criminals will be guilty of the same crime. Our fallen warriors dedicated their lives to the Infinitum Bodhimanda. Their sacrifice must be repaid with the blood of the wicked!”
