Who Let Him Play Yugioh? (Re-Upload)

”Meklord Emperor Wisel, 6000 ATK!”

”Impossible!” Dragan’s face turned deathly pale.

The god... was actually absorbed?

His invincible god, the one who commanded thunder and looked down upon everything, Thor, Lord of the Aesir... had been stolen!

This was the greatest insult to a God Rider like him—an utter contempt for his very being!

How could something so absurd happen?

Yet the facts had already occurred. The arrival of the Meklord Emperor had completely rewritten the situation in one move. Dragan fell into a state of rage, staring helplessly with wide eyes, but he was powerless to do anything.

”It was a very enjoyable duel. I have indeed witnessed and received the power of your god and the bond between you and your god,” Kira said with a cheerful smile. ”But it’s about time for you to leave the stage. I still want to see the divine power of your other two teammates.

Don’t worry—I’ve inherited your god. I will also inherit that will of yours. So go in peace.”

Dragan: ”@!#%&”

Those words sounded passionate and nice, but was it really appropriate for an opponent to say something like ”I’ll inherit your will” after stealing his god?

Why could the guy who just stole his Thor shamelessly say something like that?

”Meklord Emperor Wisel, direct attack!”

The mechanical eyes of Meklord Emperor Wisel suddenly glowed with crimson light. The energy core in its chest spun at high speed, emitting a piercing mechanical hum. The moment it swung its right arm’s white metal blade, the core erupted with dazzling golden light—the imprisoned Thor surged out in energy form, turning into a burning thunder phantom that coiled around the blade.

Outside the field, Halldor shouted at the same time: ”Get ready, Broder!”

Broder, who was still in shock over the god being stolen, snapped back to his senses and hurriedly stood up: ”Y-yes!”

He quickly rushed to the starting line to prepare for the baton pass with his teammate.

The instant the blade thrust forward, the entire battlefield was engulfed in blinding thunder light. Thor’s phantom roared on the edge of the blade. Azure lightning and mechanical energy fused perfectly, forming a destructive light blade entwined with data streams. Countless electric arcs exploded in the air. The track seemed to shatter layer by layer under the shockwave, and even space twisted and deformed before this power.

Boom——

[Dragan, LP 3300 → LP 0]

The Duel Runner began to sway uncontrollably left and right. Coolant leaked from cracks in the front fairing, evaporating into white smoke on the hot track surface. All indicator lights on the dashboard flashed wildly. The main display popped up a red warning box, then went dark the next second due to power loss. The rear wheel bearings sparked one last time, dragging two charred snake-like trails on the asphalt. The entire Duel Runner staggered sideways for several meters like a drunkard. Steam hissed out, and the exhaust pipe’s sputtering sounded eerily like mocking laughter.

With exaggerated explosion effects, Dragan let out a pained groan. His Duel Runner’s speed dropped sharply. The rider’s Duel Runner, uniform, and helmet were all damaged in multiple places, leaving him in a sorry state.

But Dragan managed to stabilize it, moving at low speed and avoiding the fate of crashing.

His Duel Runner slowed down. Kira didn’t pull far ahead either. He slowed down as well and rode alongside him at a similar speed.

Kira: ”Your Lord of the Aesir was really impressive.”

Dragan: ”...”

Kira: ”As expected of a man who inherited divine power. I could feel your strength and your determination to fight. Let’s have a proper match again next time.”

Dragan: ”...”

Dragan seemed unwilling to respond. He skipped the post-duel courtesy entirely and sullenly drove his Duel Runner into the pit lane.

The second rider, Broder, took over from him. But before Broder could mount the Duel Runner and move forward, Dragan grabbed his teammate’s arm.

”Be careful,” Dragan said in a low voice. ”That guy is weird. His Meklord Emperor... stole my god... my god...”

Broder patted his teammate’s shoulder and comforted him: ”It’s okay, Dragan. You’ve already probed out the opponent’s trump card for us—that’s enough.

I’ll take back your god. And the man who dared to steal our god—I’ll defeat him too.”

Dragan nodded: ”Then I’m counting on you.”

After the handover, Broder started his Duel Runner and charged onto the track with a roaring engine.

The airplane-headed commentator announced: ”Alright! Now the second rider of Team Ragnarok, Broder, takes the stage! Can he carry on his teammate’s will and secure victory for the team in such an unfavorable situation!?”

Broder: ”My turn, draw!”

The moment Kira defeated Dragan and his Life Points hit zero, the turn naturally ended. Therefore, even without an end declaration, it was now automatically Broder’s turn.

After drawing, Broder first observed the opponent’s field—the giant white mechanical armor and the raging god trapped inside it. From time to time, bolts of lightning would burst out from Wisel’s chest.

Broder thought calmly. Although Dragan’s Thor was a monster card, after being absorbed it was placed in the Spell & Trap Zone. Under normal circumstances, a monster treated as an Equip Spell would be considered a Spell Card for rulings.

In that case, he had a counter!

”I activate the Spell Card ’De-Spell’ from my hand!” Broder declared. ”This card can destroy one Spell Card on the field!”

Dragan, who had just left the field, brightened up: ”Nice move! The absorbed Thor is treated as a Spell Card in the Spell & Trap Zone...”

Halldor also smiled and nodded in approval: ”Using De-Spell can destroy Thor. Then, at the end of the turn, Thor in the Graveyard will automatically revive, allowing us to regain control of him.

As expected of the brains of Team Ragnarok.”

Broder declared: ”Destroy ’Thor, Lord of the Aesir’!”

A golden beam shot toward the Thor in Kira’s backrow like a javelin, seemingly about to snatch the equipped god from Wisel’s grasp.

However, at that moment, the red patterns on Wisel’s faceplate suddenly lit up. The white mechanical arm rose. The energy shield on its left arm expanded instantly, forming a massive barrier in front. The golden javelin of De-Spell struck the shield directly but failed to shake it in the slightest. The golden energy shattered upon impact.

Broder’s expression changed drastically: ”Why?”

”Ah, sorry—I forgot to mention,” Kira smiled. ”In addition to absorbing Synchro monsters, Meklord Emperor Wisel has other effects. Once per turn, it can negate the activation of a Spell Card and destroy it.”

”It has that ability too!?”

Broder gritted his teeth and clenched his fist.

Damn it, I was so close to taking back the Lord of the Aesir.

It can absorb Synchro monsters and also negate Spells once per turn...

The Meklord Emperor is truly a terrifying card.

His mind raced. A look of determination flashed in Broder’s eyes.

Since he couldn’t take it back, he would entrust victory to his own god instead.

The second Lord of the Aesir—the Trickster God Loki!
