Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 385: Chapter 383:“So be it.”

CRASSSSSHHHHHHH!!!!

The entirety of the abyssal chasms shook like the world was ending.

A massive shockwave of energy blasted outward as the figures of Kolen’kul, Salazar, Leo, and Sulvan all collided in a cataclysmic impact.

BOOOOMMMM!!!!

Kolen’kul, true to his name, hadn’t lost out in the clash. A wave of entropy covered his body in crimson flames that twisted the atmosphere around him, but...

”Dominion overrule...” A single command from Sulvan, and his aura faltered. It was just for the briefest instant, but against these three, even an instant could last an eternity.

CRASSSH!!!! Sulvan’s bladeless sword came crashing down as a crimson wave of entropy bathed the sky in a maddening crimson.

”CLEAVE!!” The skies split apart as the attack landed on the emperor, his figure being sent crashing toward the bottomless pits below.

Salazar didn’t relent. They knew how powerful the one they were facing was. They weren’t about to underestimate him just because they got the upper hand.

His hands moved out in a flurry as multiple runic symbols were stamped into reality like a verdict.

ᛖᛗᛈᛟᚹᛖᚱ(empower)

ᚹᛖᚨᚴᛖᚾ(weaken)

...

...

The runes multiplied themselves rapidly as those meant to weaken Kolen’kul surged toward the man, stamping themselves onto his body, his aura deflating for the briefest moment. A moment Salazar didn’t miss.

The strengthening runes surged into his body as his already staggering aura climbed even faster. A ruler appeared in his grip as the man surged toward Kolen’kul’s disoriented figure.

”Mandate of the Timeless...” His words echoing like a decree from the heavens, he brought the crimson-gold ruler down upon Kolen’kul.

”.. Echoes of the Ages...”

It wasn’t one strike.

No. The attack felt like it had happened a long time ago, and was now just manifesting itself.

BOOOOM!!!

BOOOOOOMMM!!!

BOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!

The abyss shook as multiple concerting blasts echoed through the chasms.

Cracks ran along the massive chasms as, for the first time in a very long time, they were encountering a crisis.

But the assault wasn’t done. High above, in the dreary grey skies, Leo’s dead and lifeless eyes remained locked onto the figure of Kolen’kul that was currently being abused by timeless attacks.

A grey, energy doll-like figure, an exact likeness of the emperor, manifested before his eyes.

If Dante were here, he would’ve screamed at the construct, for it looked just like a...

”Aspect of the Despairing Puppeteer...” The moment his words came out, down below, Salazar’s figure halted its assault on the emperor as he rapidly distanced himself.

A grey aura covered the emperor’s body immediately as the man’s eyes widened in disbelief...

”.. Eternal slumber...” A cold, quiet voice drifted into his ears as suddenly, an overwhelming feeling of giving up welled up from within him.

”What is the meaning of life?”

”Why do I suffer for naught?”

”When superior existences are out there, powerful enough to bring my whole world down?”

”Let me sleep. Even if for a moment. Let me... rest.”

The emperor’s eyes slowly closed as his battered and bruised body plummeted even faster into the bottomless chasms below.

The grey doll before Leo began dissipating into tiny particles.

”SULVAN! NOW!!” Salazar roared as he descended...

”Mandate of the Uncontained—Voidless Blade.” His ruler turned invisible. Not the type born from a lack of visibility, but one born when space had been thoroughly removed from being a concept around it.

His body surged and the ruler descended.

”Cleave...” Sulvan was much more direct. The laws within the surrounding region surged toward him as his bladeless sword was raised, entropy wrapping around it like a desperate lover.

The moment the sword was brought down, an abyssal chasm below him caved in, the bottomless pit collapsing inward as an even wider chasm was born.

The attacks surged toward the plummeting emperor.

Salazar’s space-rending ruler.

Sulvan’s law-governed blade.

The puppet before Leo only had a single finger remaining, proving that the emperor’s story was about to end. Yet, just when the attacks had reached him—

When they had thought themselves successful...

”Law of Self...” A cold, emotionless voice echoed through the whole expanse.

Salazar’s face turned grim as he roared...

”RETREAT!!!” But it was already too late..

”.. The Undying Monarch.”

WENG!!!!!

A blinding wave of crimson, black, and purple washed through the figures of Salazar and Sulvan as Salazar’s face paled considerably.

He could feel his life force being drained rapidly.

Up above, the puppet that had already almost completely vanished blazed with a crimson light as.. it punched Leo in the mouth.

The puppet... punched Leo in the fucking mouth, sending the unsuspecting griffin flying into the distance.

Its lifeless eyes sparkled in pure disdain before it collapsed into itself.

Down below where Sulvan and Salazar had encountered an existential crisis, Kolen’kul’s eyes suddenly snapped open. And then...

”You really thought me defeated?” His voice sounded right beside Salazar’s disoriented body as a quiet fist sank into his gut. Salazar’s body gave out as the fist tore through it, punching a hole through his body, and exiting out the back.

”Blerrrghhh...”

”You are invincible?” His tone was dripping pure disdain.

”Of what use is invincibility, when all eventually falls into eternal ruin?”

”CLEAVE...” His expression shifted as he felt the massive wave crashing down on him from above.

”Tch...” Clicking his tongue, he waved his arm and flung Salazar off like some useless accessory, his head snapping upward.

”You abominable creature! You have disrespected me for the last time.” His eyes flared and then...

”I am the root of madness...”

His aura exploded upward, clashing into the descending attack...

CRASSSSHHHHHH!!!!

The collision was unlike anything before it.

A shockwave blasted outward from the point of impact as the entirety of the chasms and beyond shook violently...

BANG!!

A figure was sent flying from the collision. Sulvan’s body righted itself midair after being sent straight out of the vicinity of the chasms.

He stood, gripped his blade’s hilt, then took a silent step.

Back on the battlefield, Kolen’kul’s aura kept climbing and climbing.

His presence filled the entire region and beyond.

The chasms collapsed into each other, birthing an even wider chasm.

”Freak..” Leo’s battered form appeared before Salazar, a burning crimson flame attached to the left side of his jaw, refusing to be put out.

”It seems we were still too slow.” Salazar’s voice was grim as he fought to keep his body from falling apart, the wound in his abdomen refusing to heal.

”What is happening?” Leo asked.

”He... he has brought his law out.”

”Brought his law out?”

”His manifestation... that is the manifestation of his self-created law. I had heard of it before, but this would be the first time I am seeing it.”

”What the hell are you talking about? What is happening...”

”What is happening is, we’re finally being introduced to the true prowess of a law-manifestation powerhouse. What a wonderful sight. To think I would witness it myself, the revolutionary...”

”Undying Entropy!” Kolen’kul’s voice echoed like silent thunder through the entire chasm.

His gaze bore down on Leo and Salazar, and the two buckled.

”Worms. It is time I send you on your way...” Yet before he could make another move...

”Dominion...

... Overrule.”

The laws that had begun bending toward Kolen’kul’s absolute rule halted.

”IMPOSSIBLE!!!” The man roared in utter outrage as his wrathful eyes landed on the space where the pure essence of entropy coalesced and then formed into the figure of Sulvan.

”You!!! Time and time again! You dare disparage my dominion??” Kolen’kul’s words were seething. Never in his life had he experienced such a stifling feeling.

The law he was most confident in. The power that had given him his epithet of Unkillable, and yet even now..

”WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU??” The emperor cursed out in frustration.

”First Apostle of the Son of Devouring Chaos.”

Sulvan’s reply was plain. Emotionless.

”I am the Apostle of Disorder.”

His eyes hadn’t wavered in the slightest at the emperor’s climbing aura.

”And as ordained by the Son himself. You. Shall. Stay.”

His words were the exact same ones he had delivered before the fight.

”YOU PUNY INSECT!!!”

BOOOOOOMMMM!!!!

The emperor’s aura flared even brighter, the abyssal skies churning as a chaotic storm gathered overhead.

But Sulvan...

BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!

Didn’t flinch. His aura continuously rose to match that of the emperor as the laws in the region made it clear who their allegiance had been pledged to.

”As ordained by the Son himself, O Abyss Walker.”

Sulvan’s bladeless sword blazed into light.

”You.”

His eyes caught aflame.

”Shall.”

He raised his head, locking eyes with the seething emperor surrounded by dark purple abyssal lightning forged from entropy, as the entire region fell into complete madness..

”Stay.”

”DIEEEEEEE!!!!!” The emperor snapped as his figure descended upon Sulvan like judgment from the heavens.

”So be it,” was all Sulvan said, as he surged upward.
