Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 356: Chapter 354:“TeHee.”

Sand city.

Within the wanderer guild building. In a brown walled office room, A horned abyss walker could be seen neck deep in some ancient parchments as he read through them furiously.

”Not this either..”

Crash!

He swept the documents aside in pure frustration.

”Where is it? Where are the records of the Twin Calamity’s exploits?” The man groaned.

”Why? Why can’t I find them? I’m sure they exist.” He slumped into his chair. Exhausted.

His mind couldn’t help drifting back towards the scene he had witnessed earlier that day.

The massive palm shaped chasm still present in the city. The extinction of a noble household.

All being the work of a single being.

”If I could get myself affiliated with that man....” His eyes shone with a light of ambition.

”I need to find it. I can’t approach him without something to offer.” He stood up. Intent on continuing his search as he turned around. Only to freeze in his place...

A being had appeared before him.

Dressed in a dark crimson hooded robe that flared on the floor. His face couldn’t be seen. Nothing but a darkness where two crimson orbs drifted in quiet disorder.

The atmosphere around the being was wrong. The very world was in a state of discord and disorder from nothing but his mere presence.

Corvak didn’t bother with questions. In a place like the abyss. For a being like this to appear in a place that should’ve been extremely secure. He didn’t bother wasting any words.

BOOOOOMMMM!!!!

The entire guild building shook as he let loose a deadly attack that destroyed the entire office.

”What?”

”What’s happening??”

”Someone’s fighting within the guild?”

The commotion successfully alerted the entire guild as everyone stood up.

Woosh!

A figure flew out of the dust cloud as he made his way outside. Face grim as he directed his attention at the swirling dust cloud.

Woosh!

The dust cleared apart and a being appeared.

Not a trace of damage could be seen on him.

His body hadn’t even been budged from his spot.

He merely raised his head, locking eyes with corvak.

”You. My lord wishes for your presence.”

Corvak’s face turned even more solemn at the voice of the... being before him.

Yet, before he could reply.

”AUDACIOUS!!” A voice thundered through the clearing as a man landed with a loud boom.

”It’s... guild master maersk.”

The crowd reacted the moment they recognized the man.

Maersk stood tall. His obsidian skin glinting faintly in the dim lighting of the abyss’s atmosphere.

He crossed his arms as he locked his gaze on the figure of sulvan before them.

”Who are you and what are you intentions? Why did you attack my wanderer guild?” The guild master asked in a strong voice.

”I am waiting for your reply. My lord is not a patient man.” Sulvan completely ignored the guild master’s question as his gaze remained locked onto corvak.

”Hehe.. guild master maersk. It seems you’re losing your prestige within your own city.” A snide voice sounded from beside the guild master, as the veyr man made his appearance.

Maersk’s expression soured even further.

”If you don’t state clear your intentions, you’ll force my hands.” He added as his aura slowly began building up.

Sulvan’s head finally shifted. Only a slight tilt of his head. But..

Bang! Bang!

Both the guild master and the veyr man were instantly brought to their knees. Their kneecaps shattering to pieces as their eyes, ears, mouth, all seven orifices bled profusely.

A chilling silence gripped the entire place as the crowd stood transfixed.

”Time’s up.” Sulvan’s voice broke the still silence as he took a single step. His body blurred and appeared right before the still shocked and frozen corvak, a hand wrapping carefully around the man’s neck.

”My lord awaits.” Leaving behind those words, he took another step as his form vanished from the spot, leaving behind a heavy and crippling silence that wasn’t broken for quite some time.

....

Done sending shulvan off. I turned inward. Toward my shady system.

”Alright. System. I think you’ve got some explaining to do.” I asked out loud.

”What was that? What did I create? And why the fuck are you trying to hide it from me? Speak. Now.”

....

....

[DING!]

[The system merely malfunctioned. The host has no need to worry..]

”You probably think I’m the dumbest fool in all of existence for to lie so blatantly”

[..]

”I’m going to ask this once. And only once...” slowly, the world around me began slowing down. My blood boiled and my eyes shone brighter than ever..

”What are you hiding from me?”

[...]

[...]

Just when my rage was about to spill over from the system’s silence..

[@#¥€_..^*^^].

The system suddenly glitched and then...

”Fufufufu... still so easily angered even now, aren’t you?”

A soothing and calming feminine voice sounded in my head.

This... wasn’t the system.

There was nothing mechanical about it. Instead, it was filled with warmth. Teasing. And something I couldn’t quite place my finger on..

”Who.. who are you?”

My rage flatlined instantly.

”Fufufufufu... it’s not quite time yet. But with the way you’re going, we’ll be meeting each other soon enough. Hehehehe..” the voice giggled.

”Then... what...”

”Hmmm... I’m just here to ask you not to stress my prototype too much. She’s already working herself to death. Poor me~. Tehee.”

”Your... prototype?”

”Hmm.. Hmm.. don’t worry. All will be made clear soon enough. Just.. trust me. Alright?”

I didn’t know who was speaking. I couldn’t even understand how she was speaking to me. Yet when she asked to trust her, my guard never rose. I never became suspicious. Something within me chose to subconsciously... agree.

”Tehee. See? Even like this you still can’t say no to me. Well. Goodbye for now, I need to save my strength for when you awaken. That and you get very jealous when I am gone too long. Fufufufufu. Such a complicated man. Jealous of even himself.”

”Wait.. who.. what...”

”Goodbye for now, Dante... hurry up and get strong. I’ll be waiting... but for now, try to stay out of trouble.. my love. Hehehehe...”

The voice laughed and then..

[Ding!]

[As I was saying, the system merely experienced a lag in functions but the system has been restored fully.]

....

....

Silence.

I couldn’t find the words.

The cold analytical voice echoing in my head now. The one being accompanied by text. It suddenly felt out of place after the experience I just had.

”Haaa.... Dante. What the fuck is happening to you?” I dragged a hand over my face.

First some freaky bastard that dared look down on me, berated me after my title activated.

Now, some woman I had no idea about, was speaking to me through a system that should, by its own words, predate even the act of creation itself. Calling it her ”prototype”.

”And.. what did she mean by ”my love?”” I was sure I had no idea of such a being, yet I was now somehow her lover?

How many weird cosmic women am I suddenly partnering with?

First, one called me her partner after that weird and freaky dream.

Now, this one calls me her lover?

”At least let me see if you ladies are all that before slapping labels on me, that’s basic courtesy is it not?” I groaned.

”Haa.... The more I grow. The more it seems the questions arise.” I shook my head. Somehow feeling tired already.

”Well.. I guess it is what it is.”

I wasn’t going to sit around and mope.

The two of them. That.. man and this woman. They both asked for me to get strong.

I didn’t know how much stronger they wanted me to get from what I currently was. But, if strength was the path to getting my answers, then...

”We can only continue pushing forward.”

I’ve still got my mastery of my laws to deepen. I’ve still got more arts to create. I’ve still got devouring to experiment with.

I had more than a million and one ways to get strong.

So if strength is what I needed. Then strenght is what I’ll get.

My attention snapped to the space beside me as the world rippled and a figure appeared.

”My lord. I have brought him.” Shulvan dropped to one knee the moment he appeared.

A terrified old horned abyss walker firmly in his grasp.

”Well done. Shulvan. You did good.” I couldn’t help praising the guy.

He really hadn’t wasted any time.

”Now..” my attention turned to the still terrified abyss walker being held like a helpless little lamb in his hand.

”Old man. How about you get to work. I’ll need you to clear this mission and handle the rest.”

I pointed downward.

The old abyss walker finally snapped out of his terror as he followed my finger, his eyes shrinking in absolute fright when he beheld the state of the earth below.

My grin slowly sharpened.

”It shouldn’t be any problem...

.... Right, old man?”

A/N: Well, I guess we can take a cute feminine voice over an arrogant, conceited one any day right? Anyways...
