Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 153: Chapter 152:Heaven’s List

”Hi there.. nice to finally meet you, my aunt hasn’t let me hear a word since she returned and I must say, she really wasn’t exaggerating in the slightest”..

”I’m Mira, you can call me MIMI”

Well that certainly got my attention..

”Clarissa? You’re Clarissa’s niece?” At this point, I was way past the point of being shocked when I realize I was either talking to some big shot or related to some weird powerhouse.

I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if at some point one of my women ends up a reincarnated immortal from another realm of existence, this author seems pretty random with whatever he’s doing anyways..

”Well, Mimi, far be it from me to act like a snub” I took her hand and like a true gentleman(fuck what everyone thinks) I placed a kiss on the back of her palm..

”Hehe.. my what a gentleman and it seems aunt v was right about you being a player” she laughed softly.

”Damn, don’t pay Clarissa any attention, she’s just trying to ruin my reputation.” I defended myself, chest puffed out in righteous indignation..

”But the ladies she brought with her testified to her claims though? They said and I quote ”Dante loves to play with women’s heart, he’s a jerk and he knows it”.. their words not mine” she tilted her head cutely..

The way my stance deflated like a punctured balloon.

”Damn those girls, let’s see if I don’t punish them properly when I see them..”

I gritted my teeth inwardly..

”Well can you blame them? You’ve barely met the girl and you’re already flirting, they weren’t wrong” Khalifa just had to butt in as well...

”That too after cordially inviting us to a, what did he call it? Ahh yes, a threesome, quite the shameless one aren’t you?” Even Kaila, the one I thought was nice, joined in on the execution..

”And the guy was just fighting the entire group just now, but the moment he sees a pretty woman, he’s entire demeanor does a one-eighty, sigh... men” Cara, even Cara felt it necessary to throw me under the bus.

I looked to Mel, my one true—

”And later he’ll tell you ”you’re the love of my life, my entire world”.. blatant liar this one”...

I instantly collapsed like a man defeated..

I didn’t even bother coming up with any counter arguments..

It was over, even my staunchest defender had turned against me, this must be what those protagonists felt when the world betrayed them..

”I want to die...life is meaningless”

”””””Pfttt....hahahahahahahah....””””” The tinkling laughter that filled my ears immediately eased my sorrow..

So what if I was being thrown under the bus? If it ended up with me being surrounded by such lovely sounds, then I wouldn’t mind..

....

....

”So why exactly is someone related to Clarissa, in the same faction as that entitled idiot from earlier” I asked after the group had gotten their share of laughs, our attention finally returning to the ongoing challenges..

I’d used my Geotectonic Architect to create structures for us to get comfortable, I didn’t have enough furniture in my inventory and I didn’t think they’d all want to get into a larger emperor sized bed with me, at least not now and not here, well if you ignored the crazy Cara that is..

”What can I say? Family politics, alliances and all that, afterall, coming to Aeternum is more than just for training and the likes, you know?” Mimi replied with a soft shrug..

”But why that bum though? He gives me the creeps and why’s he so arrogant after getting his ass handed to him by Melissa?” Cara who had occupied my lap like it was her divine right, asked..

”Because he’s powerful. I know what it looked like earlier after Mel sent him flying but even I was surprised” saying so she looked at Melissa who was currently shooting Cara death glares..

”You got stronger again huh?” She asked..

”I had a breakthrough recently , that’s why I’ve been unavailable all this while” Melissa replied with a smile, finally tearing her gaze from Cara..

”Hmm.. seems your rank on the Heaven’s List will be going up soon, congratulations” MiMi smiled softly..

Me and Cara being totally lost as to what they were talking about..

”What’s this heaven’s list you’re talking about?” I couldn’t stop my curiosity..

”Don’t worry about it, you’ll find out soon enough, but like I was saying, Darius is strong, in fact, one could say he is a monster, not many within the supremesanctum can match up to him and fewer still can surpass him, added to that, the fact that he’s the current Dragon Son of the DrakenAncient Family, a student of Instructor Voren then you have someone with both talent, personal strength and an illustrious background..” she added softly..

”He’s from the Draken family? What’s his relationship to that wimp I’d sent flying earlier?” I couldn’t help asking when she mentioned the Draken family..

”Oh you mean Caelum? He’s Caelum’s older brother, so you might want to watch out for that as well, he’s pretty vengeful”..

Ahh, no wonder, he’s the son of that snake as well.

A cold light flashed past my eyes as I turned briefly, my eyes locking onto what’s-his-name.

He was currently seated at the section of the platform reserved for the supreme sanctum students..

His eyes hadn’t strayed from our little group, so when I looked over, our gazes clashed..

Even from this distance, the charge in the air was easily felt..

I held his stare for a few seconds before looking away, continuing the conversation like nothing happened..

”So let me guess, two heirs of two ancient families, getting together, obviously an attempt to strengthen relations between the families” I chipped in..

”Bingo... that about sums it up nicely” she smiled..

Man, I just knew the author was going to pull something like this.

”Man, I’m surprised Clarissa would go along with this, as stubborn as I know her to be, I didn’t think she’d be okay with her niece being used as a pawn”

”Hehe.. it’s not that bad, I’m not being used, it’s all a conscious decision on my part, I’m merely checking to see if we’re compatible or not, besides, aunt Clarissa has been away for years, she hasn’t been much involved in the family’s affairs” I could hear a bit of sadness in her voice when she got to that part, but it wasn’t my place to pry..

All I could think was, at least it isn’t a forced marriage and better still, it isn’t any one of my women..

(A/N: man, you’re making it real tough for me bro.. well, sorry in advance I guess)

”So,what have you decided up until now? You like that arrogant prick?” Cara asked..

”He’s not a bad guy, I guess”

”Ha.. she totally hates his guts, be honest girl, we’re all friends here, even Orion wants nothing more than to bash that Pretentious fool’s face in” Khalifa laughed...

”He holds a top ten spot on the list, pretentious or not, he’s a good candidate” Mira shrugged..

”Our world doesn’t operate on right or wrong, it operates on who’s fist is larger and he has one of the largest fists in the entire academy..”

I couldn’t help agreeing with her, because if what I’d comprehended from him earlier was a sign of things to come, then I can say for certain that Melissa sending him flying was indeed more noteworthy than most would know..

”Well, I’m happy for you, or whatever, so long as he keeps his eyes off Melissa, then I will spare his life a little longer” though that realization didn’t stop or impede my plans..

Powerful or not.

Broken talent or not.

In the end, all shall be devoured.

Hell it was better this way, the more powerful they were, the more talented they were, the more absurd abilities they had, the more powerful I would become when I inevitably took EVERYTHING from them..

After all..

”Creation is mine for the taking, isn’t it?”

***********

A/N: okay now I’m curious, if bro is that powerful, then how did Mel send him flying? What kind of upgrade she get? And who the hell is standing above bro in these rankings? After all, they said he was ”top ten” not ”top of the list” seems there’s a lot of hidden monsters within this academy..

And ”Dragon son”? Hehe.. things are heating up..

I LOVE IT!!!
