Chapter 1150: Chapter 1151 You Will Be Beaten to Death!

Xiao Changyi still maintained his expressionless face as he continued to prepare his soup as if Gong Juechen had never existed and had never spoken to him.

If there was ever a person Gong Juechen had admired, it had undoubtedly been Xiao Changyi.

Gong Juechen glanced at Xiao Changyi, who had remained silent from beginning to end, then decided to turn around and head to the courtyard to play with the four little ones while waiting for lunch. But just as he turned, he heard Ye Zhi talking with the little ones in the courtyard.

Hearing the hearty sound of Ye Zhi’s voice, Gong Juechen’s mouth curled up involuntarily. He quickly hid by the kitchen door, planning to scare Ye Zhi.

Even more, Gong Juechen gestured for An Jing and Xiao Changyi to shush, asking them not to reveal that he was hiding behind the door.

An Jing, ”...” You’re going to get beaten up!

Xiao Changyi had no thoughts on the matter and continued to prepare his soup.

Ye Zhi had just finished talking with the little ones and was running into the kitchen, happily shouting, ”Boss, I heard you’re making delicious food for Jing’er and the others! Could you make some for me too? I haven’t tasted your pickled pepper chicken feet in a while, and I’ve been craving it!”

Upon seeing Ye Zhi rush into the kitchen, Gong Juechen jumped out from behind the door, made a scary face, and loudly scared Ye Zhi.

Ye Zhi, who had entered the kitchen without any guard up, genuinely got a big scare from the suddenly appearing Gong Juechen. At first, she covered her chest pounding with fright, then she turned and unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks on Gong Juechen.

She repeatedly grumbled with special indignation, ”That’ll teach you to scare me! That’ll teach you to scare me!”

Gong Juechen, crouching down with his head covered, meekly let Ye Zhi hit him. He really was accustomed to being beaten. Of course, if he didn’t want someone to hit him, naturally, they couldn’t. However, at this moment, he quite enjoyed Ye Zhi hitting him.

But it really did hurt...

Ye Zhi hit particularly hard; she already disliked Gong Juechen and wanted to fix his wagon, and now she took the opportunity to beat him fiercely, once more reducing him to a pitiful state.

So useless!

Watching Gong Juechen unable to even raise his hands to defend himself and only endure the beating, Ye Zhi genuinely felt that he was both useless and fearless. She had been here for almost a month and had beaten him several times already, yet he still always bothered her.

He was truly annoying.

She already disliked him from when he rudely said she was smelly and ugly, and over these days, she grew to hate him more, truly feeling not a hint of affection for him.

The longer she knew him, the more she thought he deserved a beating.

An Jing and Xiao Changyi also felt that Gong Juechen’s beaten state was indeed pathetic. It had to be said, Gong Juechen’s acting skills were genuinely phenomenal; if they hadn’t already known he was unfathomably mysterious, they might have agreed with Ye Zhi that he was truly as weak as he appeared.

Ye Zhi stopped hitting Gong Juechen after a while. Sometimes, she really got so angry she wanted to kill him, but she knew that as annoying and inappropriate Gong Juechen was, he wasn’t evil incarnate. If she really killed him, she would undoubtedly feel remorseful.

So each time, although she hit hard, she never actually intended to kill him.

”Gong, next time you scare me like that, I won’t just hit you; I’ll hit your face so hard you’ll have to hide in your room for many days and not see anyone!” While holding back her hands, Ye Zhi sternly warned, still looking fiercely angry.
