The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 676: Chapter 269: Peace of Mind for Ten Million_4

”Hello?”

”It’s me, your old man has already left...”

The voice on the other end of the line was Jessie, which made Huo Chengrui relax.

He couldn’t wait to ask, ”Sister Jessie, what’s going on, this Zhou Wang...”

”You still haven’t given up, have you?”

Jessie said sternly, ”Ah Rui, your old man warned not only you but also me. He asked me to keep an eye on you, so you wouldn’t mess around again.”

”Sister Jessie, since Dad has said this much, how would I dare do anything? I’m just purely curious...”

Huo Chengrui said with a bitter smile.

”Alright then, but in fact, I don’t know either... or maybe I only know a little.”

Jessie paused for a moment and then hesitantly spoke.

”Can you tell me?”

Huo Chengrui immediately asked impatiently.

”I watched you grow up, with our relationship, there’s nothing I can’t say. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have called you.”

Jessie’s tone softened a bit, she thought for a moment before saying, ”Actually, I just found out about this after opening the computer... do you remember that international hospital named Jiahui?”

”Of course, I remember. Why did you suddenly bring up this hospital?”

”This hospital, 30% of its equity belongs to a mainland company called Wangzhou Culture, and Zhou Wang is the full legal owner of this company.”

”How is this possible?”

Huo Chengrui was stunned when he heard this.

The Magic City Jiahui Hospital, already constructed, had a total investment of over 4 billion. From the surface information, the company behind it belonged to a private equity fund in Hong Kong Island, but Huo Chengrui knew the truth—

This private equity fund was actually spearheaded by several major consortia in Hong Kong Island, almost gathering all the top capital representatives there, or in other words, this private equity fund was equivalent to a union of half the Hong Kong business community.

Magic City Jiahui, as one of the key inland investment projects of the foundation, was mentioned more than once by his father at home.

As the head of the Huo Consortium, Huo Yingxiong was one of the nine giants in the foundation. In fact, both Magic City Jiahui and the under-construction Beidou Jiahui were projects led by the Huo Family, so both Jessie and Huo Chengrui knew them so well.

Huo Chengrui still remembered that there were countless investors who wanted to get in midway, including many mysterious figures of various backgrounds, but with the foundation’s confidence, Huo Yingxiong naturally rejected them all.

Or, in other words, this private equity fund was inherently exclusionary, belonging to the internal celebration of Hong Kong capital, and all major out-of-town investment projects by the foundation would not accept outsiders’ participation.

And now, Jessie was telling him that the Magic City Jiahui International Hospital already had 30% of its equity in Zhou Wang’s hands, which sounded utterly absurd to Huo Chengrui.

”The equity acquisition took place about a month ago. I checked the internal records, and from initiation to completion, the whole process took less than a week, which is incredibly unbelievable!”

Jessie couldn’t help but be amazed, ”Ah Rui, you should also know that equity acquisitions of this magnitude, just the preliminary negotiations could take who knows how long, but Zhou Wang’s acquisition of Jiahui Hospital’s equity, the speed of the whole process, to me, it felt like, it felt like...”

”Felt like what?”

Also drawn in, Huo Chengrui asked instinctively.

Jessie fell silent again, seemingly unable to find the right words for a moment. After a long time, she finally sighed and said:

”Felt like... he asked for it, and they just gave it.”
