The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 664: Chapter 266 Cultivator’s Hidden Land_2

”Really didn’t expect it?”

Zhou Wang had a different opinion about this.

He didn’t doubt Teacher Yang Liping’s love and pursuit for art, but she wasn’t the only great dancer. Not every artist could stand out, open their own field in all of Huaxia, and create huge commercial value with their personal brand.

The same could be said about the Olympics. Every edition had many champions, but very few could achieve financial freedom with their title.

This required having some talent and foresight in other fields as well.

”Jiang Yisen, are you even listening?”

Xia Xiwei glanced at Jiang Yisen, who was engrossed in his phone beside her, and irritably knocked on his forehead.

”C’mon, sis, that hurts, can’t you?”

Jiang Yisen winced and then impatiently said, ”I’m not here to punch a time card, why do I need to listen to this?”

”How many times have I told you, stop calling me sis!”

Xia Xiwei was first angry, then said in exasperation, ”But if you really want to invest, shouldn’t you understand all this? Otherwise, how can you make a decision?”

Hearing this, Zhou Wang couldn’t help but be stunned. He thought Jiang Yisen really came to White City for fun, but if that’s what they were saying, was he here for the acquisition of the Sun Palace and Moon Palace too?

”If there’s an investment, my brother will be the one putting up the money; I’m just here to quote a price for him. There will definitely be a professional team coming for assessment afterward; based solely on the information provided, that’s not enough.”

Jiang Yisen obviously wasn’t ignorant and shrugged indifferently.

”Of course, considering sis...considering Xiwei sis, my brother would definitely be willing to help. After all, it’s a favor you’re trying to return, so it’s like he’s helping you.”

Jiang Yisen initially wanted to keep saying ”sis,” but after meeting Xia Xiwei’s cold gaze, he felt a chill run up his spine, and cleverly changed his words.

Xia Xiwei didn’t pay any more attention to Jiang Yisen, but she seemed to sense Zhou Wang’s confusion, so she turned and explained to him.

When Xia Xiwei first entered the entertainment industry, her family didn’t support her, so she had very few resources. She received some help from Yang Liping at that time.

Although Yang Liping didn’t explicitly say it, getting to the point of having to sell her private residence clearly indicated huge financial issues.

In other words, she urgently needed a large amount of cash.

Xia Xiwei naturally wanted to help, but she only truly became popular this year, and her accumulated funds weren’t much; most had already been invested. Facing a fund shortage in the billions, she felt helpless.

It just so happened that Xia Xiwei ran into the idle Jiang Yisen in Magic City, and a sudden inspiration led her to mention this matter to him.

Although Jiang Yisen only had some shell companies under his name, behind him stood an investment company with a consortium background... One of the decision-makers in that company was Jiang Yisen’s own brother.

Setting other things aside, the Sun Palace and Moon Palace undeniably held investment value, which was evident not only to the system. After consulting his brother, Jiang Yisen came along with Xia Xiwei.

”...I’ve also arranged for Teacher Yang to meet some former investors, but it’s not certain how many will show up.”

Xia Xiwei added one more sentence.

”No matter what, you’ve already done a lot, having taught a student like you is also a blessing for Teacher Yang Liping.”

Zhou Wang nodded and sighed.

”What about you?”

Xia Xiwei twirled her eyes, ”You said you were going too, does that mean you also have investment intentions?”

”I’m still interested, but not necessarily. I’ll have to see the situation first, as my budget isn’t too high and might not be competitive.”

Zhou Wang thought for a moment and spoke honestly.

Having intelligence from the system, Zhou Wang certainly hoped to acquire at the lowest price. His budget was exactly Yang Liping’s lowest acceptable price, but it was hard to say what others would bid, so he really didn’t feel very confident.

”Hmm, just joining the fun, Teacher Yang would definitely want as many people as possible to attend...”

Xia Xiwei nodded understandingly.

From her perspective, even though Zhou Wang was impressive, he already had quite a few businesses under his belt, so his spare cash was definitely limited. He probably didn’t have much thought for such fixed assets, or like her, had the will but was powerless.

”Zhou Wang, seems like you have some self-awareness. Handling these assets poorly can become a burden, with your current capability, it’s best to take it slow, be careful not to overextend yourself.”

Jiang Yisen said bluntly upon hearing this.

Zhou Wang smiled without responding, which annoyed Jiang Yisen a bit. He always felt that Zhou Wang was too pretentious, like playing it cool in a movie; did he think he was Tony Leung?

So far, apart from his brother, no one had been able to act this cool in front of him.

But due to Xia Xiwei’s continuous, intimidating gaze, he couldn’t say anything more and just muttered a few words.

After a while, Zhou Wang went to the stern alone to smoke. Hearing footsteps behind him, he looked back and saw that, as expected, Jiang Yisen had followed.

Zhou Wang picked up the Dajiu cigarette case in his hand and offered it to him, but Jiang Yisen pushed it away. He somehow pulled out a flashy e-cigarette and took a casual puff.
