The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 515: Chapter 222 How to Open the Business Club_3

The probability of a professional golfer hitting an ”Eagle” was one in three thousand. For amateur golfers, it was one in ten thousand. As for beginners, the chances were even slimmer.

And Zhou Wang’s shot was far more difficult than the so-called ”Eagle.”

He didn’t know, but Jiang Qingkui was well aware that they were competing on a ”four-stroke hole,” which was farther than a ”three-stroke hole” and even more challenging to score.

That meant the standard for a professional golfer to complete a four-stroke hole was four strokes, and Zhou Wang had done it in one, three strokes less than par.

This was an ”Albatross,” which translated literally to ”albatross,” and was far rarer than the ”Eagle.”

No wonder these people were making such a fuss!

When the caddie brought over the replay video, everyone gathered to watch. Sure enough, from the camera’s angle on the green, the golf ball flew from afar, landed just in front of the hole, rolled a bit, then went directly in...

Seen this way, it was quite miraculous.

After all, from over two hundred yards away, hitting the ball directly into such a small hole wasn’t just a matter of skill—luck definitely played a significant role.

”Make sure to send me a copy of the video!”

”I want one too...”

Zhang Shihao and others asked for a copy of the scoring video, apparently planning to share it in various groups, which made Zhou Wang feel a bit awkward.

It seemed he was still too inexperienced to understand the pretentious culture of high society.

Nevertheless, Zhou Wang was in a pretty good mood. Not because he had accidentally scored an albatross but because...

Jiang Qingkui owed him another favor.

Seeing Zhou Wang look at her with a mischievous grin, Jiang Qingkui shivered slightly, with a hint of trepidation and pleading in her eyes.

”Don’t worry, it won’t be like last time...”

Zhou Wang whispered as he leaned toward her.

Hearing this, Jiang Qingkui subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief, but then she realized something was wrong.

”Not like last time” didn’t necessarily mean anything good!

It might even be worse. Who knew what kind of torments Zhou Wang would dream up next?

Watching Zhou Wang walk off, laughing and chatting with Zhang Shihao and the others, Jiang Qingkui tensed her legs. Yet, for some reason, there was an inexplicable little anticipation in her heart...

I must be crazy!

Startled by her own thoughts, Jiang Qingkui’s face turned crimson, breathtakingly beautiful, making the flowers and grass around her lose their color.

...

At noon, they dined in a private room at the golf club.

There was no dinner planned for today’s event. Theoretically, once the meal was finished, this gathering of BSK shareholders would be over. After all, everyone was quite busy, with many having flown to Hang City that morning and needing to fly back right after the meal.

For those without much control over their schedules, like the celebrity Li Chen, he didn’t even have time to eat. He stayed briefly in the morning before putting on sunglasses and leaving in a hurry—he had engagements to catch.

Aware that many were not accustomed to local Hang City cuisine, Zhang Shihao had specially hired two Sichuan chefs to prepare three tables of food.

Besides one dish of garlic vermicelli steamed Australian lobster, the other dishes weren’t overly extravagant, but they were all exquisitely prepared.

The drinks were casual as well, with a full range of foreign and domestic liquors as well as red wine available. Those who wanted to drink could, and anyone who didn’t could have AD calcium milk instead.

Zhou Wang hadn’t planned on drinking, but meeting Young Master Zhang and the others meant a drink was inevitable.

However, since it was daytime, everyone was moderate and no one got truly drunk. Of course, a light buzz was unavoidable.

After the meal, Zhou Wang and Zhang Shihao went ahead to the private room’s entrance to bid farewell to the departing shareholders.

Some stayed to play in the afternoon, but Zhou Wang didn’t have to worry about them.

After everyone had left, Zhou Wang looked at his WeChat list and the twenty new contacts he had added. That was the biggest gain from this gathering—

In eleven different cities nationwide, he now had twenty more ”friends.”

Once the others left, only Zhang Shihao, Luo Meiling, and Zhou Wang remained in the private room... not counting Zhang Zhiyuan and the other three younger ones.

”Mr. Zhou, didn’t you say you wanted to come to my wine party last time? I happen to have time this afternoon. Why don’t you come with me, and I’ll give you a case of wine...”

Luo Meiling smiled as she invited Zhou Wang.

Today, Luo Meiling wore a gray spaghetti strap bodycon dress, known as the ”stepmom dress,” accentuating her curvy figure with graceful charm.

Zhou Wang looked her up and down a few times, then smiled, ”This afternoon I...”

”Uncle Zhou already has plans with us this afternoon!”

Before Zhou Wang could finish, Shao Xiaoqi suddenly appeared and interrupted him.

Facing the curious eyes of Zhang Shihao and Luo Meiling, Shao Xiaoqi quickly smiled and said, ”We already made plans during lunch, right, Uncle Zhou?”

As he spoke, Shao Xiaoqi frantically gave Zhou Wang meaningful looks, possibly mixed with a bit of pleading...

Zhou Wang, nearly laughing out loud, managed to keep his composure and nodded, ”That’s right, Ms. Luo. Unfortunately, we already have plans for this afternoon.”

Hearing Zhou Wang say this, Shao Xiaoqi heaved a deep sigh of relief, his face showing a bit of lingering fear.

How could he possibly dare to let Zhou Wang be alone with his mom?

After all, he had noticed how Zhou Wang had been looking at his mom earlier... and it was not right!

”Alright then, Mr. Zhou. You young people have fun. I’ll make plans with you another time.”

Luo Meiling said, with a tinge of regret in her tone.
