The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 14: Chapter 14 Missing a 3060Ti

The chauffeured vehicle pulled directly up to the hotel entrance where a doorman wearing a headset briskly approached to open the car door for Zhou Wang, smoothly taking the travel bag from his hand. While inquiring about the services he needed, the doorman led him into the grand hotel lobby.

This was Zhou Wang’s first stay in a five-star hotel, to be honest, he felt somewhat uneasy.

It wasn’t a matter of courage but rather the lack of confidence that came from poor knowledge, a common ailment among most ordinary people.

Does class disparity manifest only in material terms?

Not at all; one’s conduct in various environments constanly defines one’s ”status.”

But at this moment, the ”Posture Training Book” once again exerted its influence in a forceful manner.

Zhou Wang, with a smile, kept communicating with the reception staff, his steps firm, not showing the slightest timidity—on the contrary, he forcefully displayed the posture of a regular guest.

Upon reaching the front desk and learning that Zhou Wang was the guest who had reserved the presidential suite, it was not long before a young lady in a professional outfit and high heels came up to escort Zhou Wang to a private VIP area.

”Mr. Zhou, welcome, we’ve been looking forward to your arrival. I’m your personal butler Bella, and I will be at your service throughout your stay in the presidential suite.”

Although he had never experienced such luxury, Zhou Wang had heard of the private butler service that came with the presidential suite. He took a moment to observe the young lady before him: fair-skinned, not particularly beautiful but her smile was very welcoming.

”Mr. Zhou, let me begin your check-in process. Will you be staying for one day?”

”Let’s start with three days. However, I might extend my stay, up to a maximum of half a month,” Zhou Wang thought it over and said.

He had initially planned to stay for just one day to experience it and then change hotels if he didn’t like it, but then he thought better of it—it seemed too much hassle. Besides, he wasn’t certain how easy it was to book presidential suites in major hotels, so it was best to leave some leeway.

Hearing that Zhou Wang might stay for as long as half a month, Bella maintained her smile, but a hint of surprise flickered through her eyes.

Although Ming City was the provincial capital, it was only at the lower end of second-tier cities in terms of overall economic level, and given the larger environment, the occupancy rates for suites in five-star hotels were actually not that high.

Their Wanda Wen Hua Hotel’s executive suites were even often discounted for promotions!

And the presidential suite that Zhou Wang had reserved had been vacant for most of the past half-month. Most recently, Bella was mostly hosting internet celebrities invited by the hotel for promotional visits... The manager was even considering including the presidential suites in the promotional campaign.

Therefore, a guest like Zhou Wang who booked a presidential suite for three days straight off was really quite rare.

But Zhou Wang was unaware of these things; he only felt a novel sense of pleasure as he completed the entire check-in process while comfortably seated on a sofa for the first time.

The presidential suite at Wanda Wen Hua Hotel was not as expensive as he had imagined, at 26,888 per night. Staying for three days and adding the deposit, Zhou Wang casually paid a total of 100,000 yuan.

As soon as he finished swiping his card, the bank’s deposit text message followed. Although the system only reimbursed the room charges, the joy of what felt like a freebie once again made Zhou’s mouth curl into a smile.

Apart from the room key, Bella also presented him with a Diamond membership card from the Wanda Hotel Group.

”What’s the use of this membership card?” Zhou asked without a clue.

”Our hotel group has two types of membership cards, the Platinum Card and the Diamond Card. The Diamond Card is the highest level of membership. With this card, you can enjoy exclusive privileges and services at all of our hotel group’s branded stores and resorts nationwide, such as priority check-in, complimentary suite upgrades...”

Bella explained the details to Zhou, who, given his current level, instantly lost interest upon realizing they were merely ”small perks”.

”Let’s go to the room.”

”Very well, right this way, please.”

The presidential suite had its own exclusive elevator. During his ride with Bella, Zhou gained a bit of trivial knowledge.

In their hotel’s own assessment, the Wanda Cultural Hotel was actually beyond five-star level. However, since the highest standard for hotel ratings is five stars, they were only rated as such.

The two rode the elevator to the 23rd floor, which housed only executive suites and presidential suites. Walking over the thick carpet, they reached the double-door entrance of a room at the end of the hallway, where two male and two female service staff, a total of four, were already standing in the foyer.

”Welcome back, Mr. Zhou!”

As Zhou Wang approached, all four bowed in unison, their neat and uniform posture causing Zhou’s eyelids to twitch slightly.

”They are your exclusive service staff during your stay. You can tell them anything you need, or of course, you can speak directly to me.”

Bella took the room card from Zhou Wang’s hand, swiped it to unlock the door, and the attendants on each side helped Zhou Wang push the doors open. He entered with a touch of excitement and curiosity.

The suite was as spacious and bright as he imagined, with a touch of classical European décor that naturally exuded a sense of luxury. The living room alone was bigger than Zhou’s home in Jing City.

”The total area of the suite is 418 square meters, and it has the best lighting in the entire building. May your mood during your stay be just as bright...”

”Our hotel’s exclusive ’Wanda Cultural Bed’ is equipped with the brand’s original ’Sweet Dream’ sleep aids, and we hope you have a comfortable sleeping experience...”

”When you bathe, we’ve provided ’L’Occitane’ high-end care products for you, and the shower room is also equipped with a dedicated steam room...”

”...”

From the outside to the inside, Bella continuously introduced Zhou Wang to various facilities in the suite, in great detail... But to be honest, Zhou didn’t understand much of it.

He didn’t ask too many questions. However, as they passed the study, Zhou was somewhat dissatisfied.

”Don’t you think there’s something missing on this desk?”

”What would that be, Mr. Zhou?”

Bella asked cautiously.

”A computer with a 3060Ti graphics card!”

Zhou genuinely felt that such a luxurious desk should have a high-spec computer to match the prestige of the presidential suite.

”Uh...”

Clearly a bit confused, Bella didn’t know what a 3060Ti was, but she did know what computers were.

”Mr. Zhou, if you need one, I can...”

”Never mind, never mind. I have to focus on reading these days and can’t let such things erode my willpower. Let it be.”

Zhou had been tempted, but considering his reality, he gave up the idea.

With limited time and heavy tasks, he didn’t know if the house he would end up with could surpass the size of this presidential suite, but Zhou didn’t have high expectations; one or two hundred square meters would be enough for him to live in.

After introducing the facilities in the suite, the attending service staff had already tidied up his luggage after consulting with Zhou, and the sets of new clothes he bought were taken to be dry-cleaned.

”Mr. Zhou, in addition to the complimentary laundry service, you also enjoy the exclusive privileges of the executive lounge and Happy Hour. If you don’t wish to go out, we can also deliver meals to your room. Additionally, if you need a car during your stay, I can arrange that for you as well...”

Why is she speaking more ’jargon’ I don’t understand? What is the executive lounge privilege, and what’s that ”Happy Hour” about... Surely it’s not what I’m thinking, right?

Zhou Wang rubbed his temples, but the arrangement for the car did suit his needs perfectly, making his trips to and from the library much more convenient.
