Chapter 532: Chapter 532 Must Finish Filming

An Ruyi rubbed her temples, shook her head hard, and smiled, ”Agent, what did you say? I didn’t catch that just now.”

Just now... did she hear it wrong?

Haha, surely she heard it wrong. Maybe she’s been filming for too long, and she’s a bit tired, so she misheard.

The agent on the other side, exasperated, said, ”You didn’t catch that? How many times do I have to repeat it? ’Phoenix Perching on the Phoenix Tree’ has a new script with the same framework, but with the female lead and second lead swapped. Major investors require shooting according to the new script! Ruyi, you’ve become the second lead.”

Second lead?

She’s become the second lead?

An Ruyi felt that she couldn’t catch her breath, almost fainting from shock.

Supporting role? Second lead? Ever since her debut, except when she first started and played supporting roles, she’s had a smooth career, only starring in films by renowned directors, and always as the lead actress!

Since when did she have to play a supporting role, play the second lead?

This... this is utterly ridiculous!

An Ruyi found it unbelievable, like she was dreaming.

An Ruyi took a deep breath and said, ”Why do they get to change the script just like that? And such a big change?”

The agent wanted to cry, slumped on the floor with drooping shoulders, ”Didn’t you check the news online about the incident Yan Huan, the scriptwriter, caused? Her scripts are plagiarized from her sister Yan Le’s work. I heard the original version of ’Phoenix Perching on the Phoenix Tree’ had Liu Ying as the protagonist, but Yan Huan wasn’t satisfied and changed it privately to Qinglian...”

An Ruyi was stunned.

An Ruyi’s red lips started to tremble uncontrollably. She swallowed hard, almost crying, ”So, Yan Huan got into trouble, the original script was brought out, and our ’Phoenix Perching on the Phoenix Tree’ crew has to shoot according to the original? It’s just... just absurd!”

In all her years in the industry, she had never encountered such a bizarre situation.

She had never heard of the lead actress becoming the second lead, and the second lead becoming the lead actress!

The agent was also dumbfounded, almost crying, ”This is something you wouldn’t encounter in a thousand years, Ruyi, how unlucky can you be?”

An Ruyi couldn’t imagine herself being the second lead, wondering how the online gossipers would talk about her.

An Ruyi licked her dry lips, her trembling voice carrying a sob, ”Sister Chen, please help me apply to the company, I want to withdraw from the ’Phoenix Perching on the Phoenix Tree’ show!”

Even if Mo Si Huang is there, she’s not going to play.

It’s truly humiliating.

She’s always been the star lead, and now she has to play second to the newcomer Liu Weiyang?

Just the thought of it made An Ruyi want to spit blood.

Agent Sister Chen helplessly said, ”That’s not possible. The company has already signed the contract. The higher-ups just called me; the boss requires artists to be reputable. Since we’ve taken the role, we must finish filming.”

An Ruyi clutched her chest, collapsing onto the artistic canvas sofa, her beautiful eyes staring at the ceiling, her face filled with struggle, ”I, I have to accept this? Why don’t they just kill me?”

An Ruyi was nearly going mad, the thought of lowering herself to play second to Liu Weiyang made her heart hurt.

She never imagined that a scriptwriter like Yan Huan getting into trouble would affect her so?

Throughout the entire ’Phoenix Perching on the Phoenix Tree’, no other actors were affected much, Liu Weiyang even became the lead actress directly, but only she... only she, An Ruyi, ended up supporting, becoming the unluckiest person in the whole production team!
