Almighty Sweet Queen is Really Rich!

Chapter 504: Chapter 504: Better to Be the Head of a Chicken Than the Tail of a Phoenix

Truly ungrateful.

This matter doesn’t really concern Yan Huan much, yet she insists on sticking up for her boyfriend. Does she really think the entertainment industry is her playground, where she can control everything?

Su Li remained calm, still holding onto dirt on Yan Huan.

Su Li almost laughed from anger; it was the first time she’d encountered someone trying to force a takeover.

This issue was high on the trending list, staying near the top without dropping. Clearly, there were online trolls manipulating it.

A personal media account on Weibo named ”Entertainment Scout” exposed: ”According to reliable insiders, all artists at Starry Sky Studio have signed 30-year contracts, but get so few resources they’re stuck doing web shows...”

Liu Weiyang became hugely popular due to a web show, gaining quite a fan base. The moment they saw this insider news, they exploded.

——Feel sorry for Sister Weiyang, what kind of ridiculous slave contract is this? The trash studio’s boss should drop dead tomorrow!

——A 30-year contract? Is that even legal?! Gosh, what kind of insane studio is this? Even rookies don’t get scammed like this, it’s too dark.

——Sister Weiyang, join Chenguang Entertainment. With your current fame, the company should help pay your breach of contract fine.

...

This ”insider” revelation caused a massive uproar, leaving everyone in disbelief. Plus, Liu Weiyang’s side was keeping quiet about it, with no response at all.

Isn’t that just an admission?

Better run, that trash studio is no place to stay!

Liu Weiyang was overwhelmed, thinking this was all just baseless gossip? A 30-year slave contract? That’s simply outrageous! When Su Li signed her, it was only for three years! Even the big companies wouldn’t offer such a short term, and she was a newcomer with no say at all.

Liu Weiyang felt she would never again be so lucky to meet such a great boss, as Su Li’s studio was clearly different from other small workshops, and she had no thoughts of switching jobs.

Her assistant Xiao Mei quietly whispered in her ear, ”Sister Weiyang, with the contract issue about you getting so much attention, quite a few entertainment companies are offering you olive branches, promising to cover your breach of contract costs. Maybe you should... consider it?”

Liu Weiyang’s expression turned cold, causing Xiao Mei to shrink her neck back: ”You shouldn’t be ungrateful! If it weren’t for the boss, my mother might not even be alive now. Besides, ever heard of— ’Better to be the head of a chicken than the tail of a phoenix’?”

A faint cold smile appeared on Liu Weiyang’s lips; she was aware of Zhao Xiaoyan’s fate, joyfully signing with Star Emperor Entertainment, now forced to terminate the contract, living neither as a person nor a ghost.

Xiao Mei’s face flushed with embarrassment as her head quickly drooped: ”So, Sister Weiyang, what do we do now? We can’t let those media outlets start baseless rumors about the studio, right?”

Liu Weiyang gently furrowed her delicate brows, figuring Su Li must be overwhelmed with this issue right now.

Liu Weiyang thought for a moment and said, ”Contact the boss and Brother Zhou, I want to make part of the contract public.”

Yan Huan sat within the set of ”Phoenix Perching on the Phoenix Tree,” a script on her lap, holding a phone, looking relaxed as she read the messages on Weibo.

Yan Huan curled her lips and muttered to herself, ”Starry Sky Studio? A small studio like that dares to refuse being acquired by my Shi An? I’ll give you a little taste of suffering first.”

Yan Huan contentedly watched the various unfavorable comments about Starry Sky Studio popping up on Weibo, seemingly envisioning the studio’s backstage boss, so troubled they couldn’t eat, feeling overjoyed.

Suddenly, Liu Weiyang posted a new Weibo post...
