My Cards are Infinitely Refreshed

82: Harvest Giant CardAs for the other one, it was a 2-star Character Card.

It’s a common phenomenon for high-star monsters to drop low-star monster cards; generally, without the aid of special item cards, it’s very difficult to obtain Character Cards of a corresponding star level.

This is especially true for 4-star monsters.

Moreover, since it was a 2-star Character Card, the system automatically accepted it for Shi Li.

If it had been a 3-star Character Card, the system would have asked if he wished to accept it.

Because in Shi Li’s current situation, once he accepts, he would be promoted to the Platinum tier.

At that point, he would be unable to return via the Space-Time Trace and would be trapped in the current exotic.

But for now, he was more concerned with the card’s face.

Rock Giant Centipede

Balanced, 50 points, 2-star

Attack 50, 230/230

【Giant Creature - Passive】: The Rock Giant Centipede occupies 2 card slots, HP +130

【Rock Skin - Passive】: The Rock Giant Centipede possesses Resilience

(【Resilience】: After being controlled this turn, immune to control next turn)

This is a small Giant Creature Card that occupies 2 slots, and can be placed horizontally or vertically.

However, because he currently has only 5 card slots, even though he has activated 2 card columns, it means that to play the Rock Giant Centipede, he must reduce one other card.

There is only one exception: if it serves as the Ace Card.

A Giant Creature placed in the Ace Card row only counts as 1 slot, allowing four regular cards to still be played.

However, this wouldn’t yield much benefit, as the 150-point score limit is fixed.

If one Ace Card consumes 50 points, the remaining 100 points to be distributed among four regular cards would be a bit tight.

He would need to play two 20-point cards to make up the score.

Overall, acquiring a new 2-star card is definitely a good thing for Shi Li.

The Rock Giant Centipede has decent HP, and its other trait is geared towards Defense and survival, making it a qualified 2-star damage-absorbing card.

With the addition of this card, Shi Li’s tactics can become more varied.

After clearing the battlefield, the supporting team members returned to their respective posts.

Three days passed like this, during which there were at least dozens of monster attacks every day, and no fewer than three monster tides daily.

However, elite-level monsters like the Centipede King did not reappear, so the Pioneer Team handled things fairly smoothly.

Having proven himself in the first battle, Shi Li also gained the recognition of the entire Pioneer Team.

At the same time, he also Gathered several 2-star material cards, which would bring in a considerable income when sold later.

When monster tides occurred in other defensive directions, as the team’s number 2 member, he was dispatched to assist several times.

After four days, a small base stronghold was largely completed.

Now, the members of the Pioneer Team no longer had to rough it outdoors or guard in the wilderness.

The presence of watchtowers allowed them to detect approaching monsters more quickly, greatly improving the efficiency of deployment and Defense.

On this day, Shi Li was notified to go to the meeting room.

Team members were sparsely seated in the meeting room; excluding those on duty and those on rotation, about 50 people were present.

This was roughly one-fifth of the entire Pioneer Team.

On the platform sat four Captains.

“Everyone, you’ve worked hard these past few days.”

Zhang He was the first to speak.

“The base is now largely completed, and after discussions among us, we’ve decided to begin the next phase of the mission.”

Her words surprised the veterans present.

According to past experience, the next step after the base was built would be an initial exploration of the Foreign Land.

Typically, those sent out were the top combatants within the Pioneer Team, as strong abilities were better suited to handle various unexpected situations.

Shi Li, as a newcomer, was included in the exploration roster with only a Gold 7 rank.

Besides his outstanding individual combat ability, the biggest reason was his current Stamina, which had reached 121 points.

During the exploration process, they might encounter some Events.

Some Events would involve Gather tasks, and card players with high Stamina would be more easily able to complete them.

“I will be responsible for commanding and dispatching the exploration mission.”

Zhong Xin, the Captain of Team 2 from Li Card Hall, took over: “Similarly, two people will form a team to look out for each other, and the exploration direction for each team has also been assigned. Please refer to the table.

Everyone, please match up according to the list. The mission will officially begin in 30 minutes.”

The large screen displayed the 25 team lists and their directions.

Shi Li, sitting in the back row, also began to search for his name, wanting to see who his teammate was.

In principle, to ensure better coordination, the grouping primarily focused on teammates from the same team.

That is, members of Team 1 were grouped with Team 1, and members of Team 2 were grouped with Team 2.

However, when Shi Li saw his name, he realized he was the unique exception.

He, from Team 1, was grouped with Zhong Xin from Team 2.

“It seems all the Captains think highly of you.”

Old Han, who was also recruited into the exploration team, sat next to Shi Li.

“The highest-ranked person in the entire Pioneer Team is none other than Zhong Captain, who is Gold 29.

Although he might be slightly less effective than our Zhang-dui when dealing with giant monsters, if we’re talking about who is the most well-rounded in the entire team, it’s definitely Zhong Captain.

Moreover, he has extensive experience in exploration, basically leading every exploration mission.

Being grouped with him, you’ll have an easy time.”

He introduced this with a hint of envy.

Actually, it made sense; as the newest newcomer in the entire team, it was only right for Shi Li to be paired with the strongest Captain-level member.

It was a form of looking out for him.

Due to time constraints, everyone left to prepare after the meeting concluded.

Shi Li, however, was called aside by Zhong Xin.

“Shi Li, I hope this cooperation will be pleasant.”

The man, who looked to be under thirty, extended his hand towards him with a smile.

“Hello, Zhong Captain.”

Shi Li responded politely.

In reality, Zhong Xin’s purpose in grouping Shi Li with himself was not so simple.

Before departing, Hallmaster Xu had given instructions in advance.

He was to find an opportunity to befriend this genius from Show Card Hall.

In such a vast and desolate environment, a man and a man alone were best for closing the distance.

Coupled with his careful attention and care along the way.

Then, when difficulties arose, he would step in to resolve the crisis for the other party.

Wouldn’t that just boost the favorability points?

“There are still a few tens of minutes left, so you should adjust yourself well.

As for all the equipment needed for the expedition, leave it to me.”

“Okay, then I’ll trouble Zhong Captain.”

Zhong Xin didn’t even let Shi Li participate in packing his bags.

However, as soon as Shi Li left, he grabbed a Team 2 member on rotation to help him prepare.

When the time came, the 25 teams departed from the base, heading in their assigned directions.
