My Cards are Infinitely Refreshed

78: Panel monster time“Annoying big guys should all be eliminated!”

Zhang He’s card was revealed, and a muscular man with a bare upper body emerged from the light pillar.

He dragged a tattered machete larger than his own body, its blade rusty and chipped.

“A Characteristic card?”

Shi Li raised an eyebrow.

This was surprisingly a Unique Character Card with a Characteristic.

No wonder both Zhang He and the members of Team 1 were so confident.

Draelt Hunter

Breaker, 30 points, Two-Star

Attack 50, 200/200, 0/50

Giant Slayer - Characteristic: Draelt Hunter’s Attack -20, all damage dealt to Giant cards is doubled.

Leader - Passive: When Draelt Hunter serves as the Ace, Attack +10.

Giant Killer Strike - 30 Energy: Draelt Hunter attacks 1 target. If the target has Giant, it also deals 15% of its maximum Health as damage (T4).

“Impressive.”

This was the first time Shi Li had personally witnessed percentage-based Health damage similar to Crimson Blaze.

Of course, a quick comparison would show that Crimson Blaze’s output was much stronger than this Giant Killer Strike.

After all, Giant Killer Strike was a unique output term specific to the Breaker type, though rare, it was not unheard of.

Crimson Blaze, however, was a unique card exclusive term, making the difference immediately clear.

But for the current situation, with the enhancement of Giant Slayer, this Giant Killer Strike was not inferior to Crimson Blaze; in fact, it was even better.

One strike could deal (50+300) x2 = 700 damage.

Only 3 strikes would be enough to take down this Rock Giant Centipede, with plenty to spare.

Considering this was a Breaker card, dealing 3 full skill activations would require a total of (3+1 + 2+1 + 2+1) = 10 rounds.

If Charge cards were interspersed, the skill’s charge cycle would be further shortened.

As a Gold 22 expert, Shi Li did not believe Zhang He lacked a few Charge cards.

Indeed, with the help of Charge, Zhang He resolved the battle quite easily.

She even had 1 regular card left, and her Ace was not even exposed to attack.

“Amazing, Zhang-dui!”

“Truly an expert at countering giant demons.”

“Thanks to you!”

As soon as the card game ended, everyone expressed their gratitude and praise.

“…”

However, Zhang He’s expression was not so good.

They had just entered the foreign land and were already attacked by a Three-Star Demon.

It seemed this mission was indeed as difficult as previously anticipated.

Soon, under the command of each team leader, the four teams dispersed.

The activated mechanical construction units quickly began their work.

To look out for each other, the Pioneer Team members split into pairs.

Shi Li and Old Han were assigned to guard a location on top of a large boulder with a relatively open view.

Since that stone centipede, there had been a few more demon attacks.

However, none were within their group’s defensive range, and Shi Li saw no traces of demons in his line of sight.

“The reason for pairing up is mainly for rotation,” Old Han explained to Shi Li during this free time. “Because combat consumes mental energy, one person rests while the other fights to maintain full Stamina.”

Saying this, he opened his panel and showed Shi Li some of his stats.

Rank: Gold 17

Stamina: 53/58 (2↑)

Energy: 66/66 (1.1↑)

For Gold card players, after reaching the peak of Gold 5, continuing to acquire Two-Star Character Cards would still provide feedback, but the effect would be greatly diminished, not as much as during Gold 1-4.

“A card game against a Two-Star Demon consumes an average of 5-7 Energy.

A card game against a Three-Star Demon consumes an average of 15-20 Energy.

In this resting state, my Energy recovery rate is 1.1 points per minute.

This means I can probably fight about 10 consecutive games against Two-Star Demons before I can’t hold on anymore.

If Energy is insufficient, symptoms like Stun or even, in severe cases, shock may occur.”

Only after Old Han’s reminder did Shi Li remember this.

The biggest difference between the foreign land and Bluestar was the datafication.

When a card player first entered, their personal panel would be datafied.

Thinking of this, he also imitated Old Han and opened his panel.

Rank: Gold 5

Stamina: 99/99 (2.5↑)

Energy: 118/118 (1.5↑)

“Ah?!”

Seeing his Energy, Old Han’s mouth dropped open.

What was going on with this person!

His stats were almost double his own, and his recovery rate was much higher!

Were these the stats a Gold 5 could achieve?

Platinum 5 would be more like it, right?!

“As expected of the genius the Card Hall favored, these stats are truly astonishing.”

Just then, Zhang He’s voice of admiration sounded from behind.

As the captain of Team 1, her duty was to patrol between the various defensive points to prevent emergencies.

“Not at all, not at all.”

Shi Li humbly replied in a feigned manner.

To be honest, he also knew that his mental energy should be much stronger than others at his level.

But he didn’t expect his Stamina to be as well.

It seemed that refreshing simulation missions could improve more than just his Energy.

“I’m telling the truth.”

Zhang He smiled at his words.

Her Stamina and Energy were only in the 80s, still a bit lower than Shi Li’s.

Next, under their guidance, Shi Li performed another round of Gather.

By activating it on objects in the foreign land, there was a chance to turn them into cards.

So Shi Li activated Gather on a thumb-sized piece of gravel, and sure enough, the stone turned into a blue light and finally formed a card that fell into his hand.

Useless Gravel: A completely worthless material.

However, this was a zero-star material card, completely worthless.

Then he felt a slight fatigue in his body. He opened his panel and saw that his Stamina had actually decreased by 1 point.

“Stamina, in addition to being related to daily actions, is also related to datafied actions such as Gather and Capture.

And some material cards simply cannot be gathered without high Stamina.

At the same time, besides Stamina and Energy, there are other stats you can gradually research.

For example, Charm, which increases affinity with foreign races, or Luck, which increases success rates, and so on.

Anyway, you’ll know when you have a chance to encounter them later.”

Zhang He explained to him.

“I see…”

Shi Li nodded. No wonder everyone said that the drop rate of foreign land demons was higher than on Bluestar.

It was because of this extra Gather function.

Next, the two took the opportunity to explain some common knowledge about the foreign land that was not in textbooks.

As they were talking, the rock surface beneath their feet suddenly began to tremble slightly.

“Oh no, it seems a large number of demons are approaching!”

Old Han, being experienced, was the first to change his expression.
