Pillar of Yita

”Notify those people,” Eteliria glanced at the nearby ’Big Sister’ who was throwing a tantrum and said to the Commander.

”But, Eteliria, which people are...”

”This is Big Sister’s wish.”

The latter was stunned for a moment, sighed deeply, and then nodded.

Meanwhile, Fang Hong, amidst the chaos, accepted an invitation from Recall to join a team and finally had time to check on the injured people around him.

The injured person was Atira, the Elf Girl, with her eyes tightly shut, looked like she had suffered severe injuries, almost in a semiconscious state of collapse. He groped around Atira’s bloodstained waist with his hand once, couldn’t locate the wound immediately, and just got his hand full of fresh blood.

Fang Hong looked at the glaring crimson on his palm, momentarily dazed. He seemed to recall Miss Sicape, feeling extremely anxious inside, softly called out Atira’s name twice, but got no response.

Fang Hong stood still for a moment, then gritted his teeth and lifted the Elf Girl horizontally, as he didn’t have the capacity to check her injuries right then, he could only first get her out of there.

Meanwhile, Recall had also sent out a message, instructing everyone to evacuate along the left side of the City Hall toward the direction of Haggston Cemetery, which coincidentally matched his thoughts.

Actually, due to the effects of the Illumination Bomb, the pressure on the front lines had lessened, allowing the knights of Tabopolis to finally form a horizontal formation and use the Square Shield Wall to cover the others as they made their way out of the City Hall.

Under the leadership of Recall, they launched a brief charge at the people from the Dragonfire Guild, forcing them to temporarily retreat. With this retreat, the Grey Oak Knights opened a gap in the encirclement and began to break out through the flank.

The people from the Dragonfire Guild also realized their suppression had failed. While they ordered the Gunslingers to fall back, they also called another group to join the combat, trying to stall the people of Tabopolis in place.

”It’s Maniez’s Dual Swordsman and Gailin Iron Guard,” Red Leaf recognized their tactics from their attire: ”They want to hold us here. We can’t get entangled with them.”

Recall nodded appreciatively at her.

The Dual Swordsman from Maniez, known for its defensive-offensive capabilities, is often derogatively called ’fleas’ by heavy-armored Chosen due to their difficulty in handling them. Against non-precision class professionals, the Dual Swordsman even claims to be a tank that isn’t a tank.

The so-called tank, also a term derived from past virtual games, generally refers to those roles that absorbed damage in the front line.

Describing a lightweight melee Agility System character as a tank gives a sense of their survival ability.

And no need to mention the Gailin Iron Guard.

The Colin People often joke that Gailin Iron Guard is like the scraps from Eldron Great Wall, suggesting that the Iron Guard is like a block of granite used in building the wall, just right for blocking the way.

The group from the Dragonfire Guild was advancing faster than the retreating Gunslinger Team, with the Dual Swordsman and the Gailin Iron Guard moving separate ways, quickly crossing the forest. Their clear intent was to block Fang Hong and his group from breaking out.

Recall turned around.

Fang Hong saw the reflection of firelight on his opponent’s face, with streaks of blood yet to be wiped clean, his expression somewhat cold.

Since they had considered the potential blockage by the Dragonfire Guild while planning earlier, they were somewhat prepared for such a scenario.

But Recall then looked at him and slowly said, ”Ade, did you know? After Red Leaf returned from the Traveler’s Rest, she spoke to me in private.”

Fang Hong, holding the Elf Miss, looked puzzled at him.

”She highly praised your talent as a Combat Artisan, even believing that you are not inferior to those young geniuses of the Grand Guilds.”

”Captain...” Red Leaf said a bit embarrassedly: ”I didn’t say it so bluntly.”

But Recall didn’t listen to her, only looking at Fang Hong.

Fang Hong frowned, believing that the other’s remarks were intended to persuade him to join the Oak Knights.

But he had already made up his mind about this—

However, Recall paused, then said, ”However, she believes you aren’t suitable for those Grand Guilds—”

Fang Hong was surprised, curiously looking at Red Leaf not far away: ”Why?”

Recall didn’t answer his question directly: ”Do you know about the origins of the Knight Order?”

”Yours?”

Recall nodded, glancing at the Dual Swordsman from the Dragonfire Guild in the distance, and said, ”You should know about the two main divisions of the Eteliria Guild, representing the alliances of major corporations and super clubs in reality—the Super Competitive League, and what was once the underwhelming Free Guild—the Free Summoners’ Alliance.”

”Of course, the distinctions between the two are gradually diminishing, and the real Freedom Alliance formally joined the Super Competitive League system seven years ago.”

”But the differences are always there—”

Then he turned back to the knights beside him, saying, ”Guys, why do we fight?”

The knights looked at each other and all began to laugh.

Recall also smiled, shaking his head: ”Then, I leave it to you.”

About fifteen knights stepped forward simultaneously, exchanging their two-handed great swords with their comrades, then handed over their standard weapons and valuable equipment to others, and bid farewell to their familiar friends.

No one bore a pessimistic sentiment. They just punched each other lightly, and even teased with a grin: ”Don’t disappoint me.”
