Pillar of Yita

Sicape nodded, she certainly knew that it was no longer the savage era of past; many regulations and details had long been formalized.

This was the fundamental reason why Invokers received support from various countries.

In the mid-21st century, humans retrieved ’Element Type II’ from the Starlight Material found in the hast042 area of the asteroid belt, a remnant of high-dimensional universe information. It was through the exploration of Element Type II that a series of messages from the high-dimensional universe were finally decoded—in fact, people later discovered it was a complete set of blueprints.

That was the origin of the Everglow Star Gate.

The technology of the Stargate is not limited to establishing a long-term passage between Earth and Eteliria; what’s more important is the plethora of peripheral technologies acquired from the construction of the Stargate, which enabled significant advancements and development in human science and production in the latter half of this century.

And this was the core and focus of humanity’s contest for Element Type II (Starlight)—as Starlight seemed to be a rich inheritance from the high-dimensional universe, symbolizing the possibilities of technology and progress.

In the early days, the competition for Eteliria was fierce among countries. Several permanent council members and secondary powers entered the Stargate with organized military troops, according to the provisions of the ”Suva Declaration”, and soon sparked a prolonged war in Eteliria.

The war, on one hand, provoked strong resistance from the natives, and on the other hand, it made the participating countries realize the gains did not make up for the losses.

The main reason was that with the retirement of the first generation of Chosen, humans gradually mastered the way of capturing resources in the New World—through the recording of what the Invokers obtained in the New World on the Glow Material—knowledge, skills, experiences, and equipment.

The moment they chose to leave the New World, all information would be crystallized within the Glow Material and brought back to Earth.

This led to a problem.

To continuously acquire resources of high-dimensional information, there had to be a continuous flow of Invokers returning to the real world. The input of troops constantly was somewhat a loss-making business.

Moreover, there was opposition from the civilian perspective—most mainstream thinkers at the time believed it was an unjust invasion war, so the anti-war sentiment became the social mainstream for a time.

Therefore, after the signing of the second ”Suva Treaty” and the birth of the Glow Material Equipment, commercial civilian forces gradually entered this domain, and the military and government stepped back for the first time.

And that gradually formed the pattern of today.

Invokers and the natives reached a coexistence. Adventure and exploration gradually replaced war to become the main theme of the New World. Although frictions and contradictions between Guilds still remained, the large-scale global wars of the first half of the Stargate Era were no longer seen.

Sicape was quietly waiting for the currency settlement.

The others of Morning Dawn Star were communicating with each other. After a few days of settling down, most had returned to their usual mindset and stopped thinking about the past—although there was still some discomfort.

However, with subsequent psychological counselling, it’s believed they would quickly readjust to the life of Earthlings.

In the crowd, only Elsa looked somewhat sullen. At fifteen years old, her career in the second world had ended prematurely, which was a big blow to her—and she didn’t have much savings either.

Sicape gently patted the young girl’s shoulder.

Just then, the staff member returned to the front, ”Miss Sicape, we’ve found unread communication on your Glow Material Equipment. Would you like to check it before settlement?”

Sicape paused slightly, then quickly remembered something and hurriedly said, ”Let me see it.”

The staff immediately transferred the information to her personal terminal. Sicape opened it and nearly had her heart stop for a moment. There were two unfamiliar access request messages:

One was a request to extract her storage authority, the other was a network login request.

At the sight of the requests, she couldn’t help covering her mouth, tears welling up. But it wasn’t sadness, it was joy and excitement: ”That little rascal is still in Eteliria—!”

”Would you like to reject the requests, Madam Sicape?” the staff member asked, somewhat confused.

”No, of course not,” Sicape instantly rejected, ”Please agree—”

”Is it Ade?” Kroid glanced at the two requests and came to a realization, asking softly.

Sicape nodded.

”It’s Ade!” People were somewhat surprised and began whispering excitedly.

”I knew it, that lucky kid is alright!”

”It’s a pity we can’t see the ID of the request, otherwise we might be able to contact him through the network and find out where this kid is now.”

”Has anyone ever asked for his contact ID?”

People looked at each other.

It seemed Ade never mentioned it in public.

Sicape was quick to react, she immediately said to Kroid, ”Lend me your personal terminal.”

Kroid, puzzled, passed over a transparent slab. Capes took the terminal, opened a webpage, and then asked the others, ”What’s the number for the China Region of the Eteliria United Community?”

”A0086.”

With a swipe of her hand, a pure white page slowly opened. She turned on the auto-translator, and a conspicuous Chinese post immediately caught her eye.
