Pillar of Yita

And he had almost succeeded.

The design detailed on these blueprints was his lifelong pursuit and ultimate goal.

Unfortunately, Heaven did not grant him much time. Although he had essentially completed the production of the Zero-Type Holy Crystal, the more crucial Type-One Crystal was left with only a basic concept and preliminary design.

Fang Hong examined the design carefully. It was extremely complex, filled with brilliant inspirations and ingenious ideas; however, the design’s rank was only about Level 2 to Level 3, which he could barely understand.

It probably represented the initial stage of the Type-One Crystal, or what could be termed its alpha state. It addressed the issue of existence. The power of the α crystal was still very weak, roughly equivalent only to an F-Rank Attribute Crystal.

The lowest category among Attribute Crystals.

Yet, these crystals were sufficient for Invokers below Level 5. In fact, F-Rank crystals were even more broadly utilized in reality. After reading the design, Fang Hong couldn’t help feeling overjoyed.

He was far from Level 5, yet this basic design was already enough to significantly enhance his strength.

Moreover, he could continue along this path. Although he may not have the genius of Hain Famm, there was still a glimmer of hope, right?

With this thought, he couldn’t help but look up and gaze deeply at the statue of the Master Alchemist, bowing respectfully to it.

This wasn’t just a student’s tribute but also an admiration from the heart.

The stone tablet mentioned that Hain Famm became an alchemist of the Numelin Empire because he was a Magical Adept of both fire and earth attributes. He could have advanced further and become a true powerhouse.

But his lifelong wish was to lay a bright path for ordinary people, just like his teacher.

Mere nobility of character was enough to inspire awe.

”Perhaps we could further refine it,” Fang Hong whispered, ”allowing Mr. Hain Famm’s ideas to one day be fully realized.”

”You will face many obstacles,” Tata replied calmly.

”No problem, I can learn more knowledge to enrich myself.”

”That’s not what I mean.”

”Ah?”

Tata looked at the naïve young man, remaining silent.

Fang Hong asked her, ”Can we proceed, Tata?”

Tata nodded, ”Having the original blueprints and ideas, it is not difficult to continue on this path, but the outcome is uncertain.”

”We have to try, it’s my only chance,” Fang Hong confidently, giving Miss Fairy a radiant smile, ”and Mr. Hain Famm left them here, I think they hold some significance.”

Tata nodded again.

Fang Hong closed the windows and glanced around, ”Alright, Tata, have you found out how we should leave from here?”

”Shall we depart now?” Tata asked.

”No, wait a moment.” Fang Hong suddenly remembered something, shook his head, and took out a glowing, amber-colored Glow Stone from his jacket pocket.

He looked at the yellowish crystal, his gaze determined.

Stargate Port ’Ring of Uroboros’—

The lingering light from the star was gradually sinking behind the curved edge of the Earth, turning the azure ocean and brown-yellow continent into pitch black, leaving only a golden arc of light.

What followed was fifty-two hours of deep night because maintaining speed in the synchronous orbit required nearly two and a half days of alternating long days and nights.

During daylight, the surface of the starport heated up rapidly, reaching as high as 251 degrees Fahrenheit. At this time, ’Ring of Uroboros’ would stop most extravehicular activities, while its outer heat-resistant and insulating layers ensured the safety of the living areas inside.

At dusk and dawn, the Stargate Port showed its busiest side; ’routine’ maintenance and servicing were carried out during this time, with countless robots and personnel beginning spacewalks.

Through the corridor’s glass windows, one could see the outside scene—long mechanical arms transporting materials, workers relying on propulsion backpacks to stretch lengthy repair pipes down to the lowest layers.

Below was Earth, humanity’s home.

The large blue sphere slowly sank into the shadows, revealing a starlit landscape across the Western Hemisphere, from the villages in Western Europe to the cities. Lights wove a golden net, radiating out in all directions, gradually connecting into one.

There were also lights on the ocean, marking the busy international shipping lanes, moving south past Africa and the Atlantic Ocean, the ancient land appearing slightly darker.

Ambassador Liao withdrew his gaze from the glass window and turned to enter the conference area.

With about twenty hours left before the Stargate entered an extremely low temperature zone, where night temperatures plummeted to minus 184 degrees Fahrenheit, they needed to hurry if they wanted to leave beforehand.

Apart from the representatives of the Russian Federation, most representatives of the participating countries arrived via Space Elevators 07 and 03, which passed below the Stargate Port every 74 hours on the second orbital track.

The conference area’s doors opened, and stepping inside, the atmosphere was tense, with several nations’ representatives shifting blame to one another.

”Let me repeat, Ambassador Traviel, the Stargate’s data is not in our possession. Our statistics are based on entry and exit registration procedures, but stowaways are not included in this,” one spoke assertively.

”Mind your words, there were no stowaways, only an accidental incident,” another countered sharply.
