Pillar of Yita

But the specific content of the talent was not visible, one could only gropingly figure it out on their own.

Furthermore, in fact, every Dragon Knight’s talent was different, and even if resonating with the same Holy Crystal, the talents could significantly vary due to differences in resonance rates.

Twin Stars, Fang Hong pondered the implication of this name, cluelessly closed the page.

He then looked at the state of his skill and knowledge mastery.

As previously mentioned, there were no professions in Eteliria. It was less about a job and more akin to a social identity, just like Fang Hong’s identity as an Alchemist—it was determined by his mastery of knowledge, skills, and social status, rather than the other way around.

Theoretically, a person could learn almost all knowledge and skills, provided they had normal intelligence and infinite time—and more importantly, one must first learn various introductory basic theories, as the accumulation of knowledge is always gradual.

But individuals with infinite time did not exist, so most Invokers chose their own areas of expertise. This is how various professions came to be.

As Fang Hong had anticipated, he had invested about forty thousand experience points in a variety of related knowledge and skills, such as basic Magic Guided Theory, Flexible Construct knowledge, Ether Knowledge, Elemental Knowledge, Potion Studies, Woodworking, Forging, and Botany, plus some miscellaneous knowledge of Combat-Oriented fire control and basic operation and use of firearms, which was just about enough to approach the theoretical threshold of a second-level character.

However, there was still a distance from becoming a bona fide Alchemist, as theoretically one would need to become a third-level Alchemist, which did not include Combat-Oriented experience.

But what truly mattered was not this.

Fang Hong tried for a while before he learned how to operate this page, but he was still not very skilled. In the end, he simply asked directly, ”Miss Tata, how much cognitive experience do I have left?”

”Fifty-three thousand five hundred and seventy-two, and an additional one thousand seven hundred and thirty combat experience points,” she replied.

”That much!?” Fang Hong exclaimed in surprise.

Of course, he knew he should still have quite a bit of cognitive experience—Eteliria’s source of experience mainly had two types: one came from the process of continuously and actively learning and applying skills and knowledge, wherein deepening memory automatically resulted in corresponding categories of skills and knowledge gaining experience growth.

But in this process, the accumulation of experience would also grant Invokers additional cognitive experience, similar to people’s ability to draw inferences about other cases from one instance. There were always connections between things and knowledge.

Cognitive experience was equivalent to the free skill points in many past games; apart from the fact that knowledge-oriented and Combat-Oriented skills were not interchangeable, Invokers could invest it into any related domain they wished.

Of course, they had to utilize the Summoners System to do so.

And Fang Hong did not have it.

Almost all of his experience came from skill growth through proficiency.

In the past, he thought this did not have much impact, but Tata’s lukewarm answer slapped him in the face. Lacking nearly half the cognitive experience of others, how could his rookie period not be drawn-out?

Fang Hong’s face was almost a picture of grief; he really wanted to tell Miss Sicape that he truly was not a dunce.

Unfortunately, Miss Sicape was no longer here.

He realized that the impact on him might not be limited to this, because once a person begins to delve deeper into a domain, they will come into contact with more profound matters, theories, and knowledge, and the acquisition of experience will naturally rise accordingly.

Put in layman’s terms—it meant that the experience acquisition in Eteliria grew linearly.

Having fallen behind from the start, he naturally fell behind every step of the way.

Fang Hong couldn’t help but slap his forehead, too annoyed to speak. But what could he do? He was a stowaway, and even getting here in the first place was an opportunity he barely managed to scrape together.

Thinking of this made his heart feel a lot better.

”Would you like to use these experience points?” asked Tata at this moment.

”Wait a moment,” Fang Hong replied, pulling out a thick glove from his pocket and slipping it back onto his right hand—covering the half-crown emblem.

It occurred to him suddenly that he had forgotten something else.

The fingers of the glove were shredded by a dagger, his fingertips poking out from the tears, but fortunately, the dial for controlling the Clockwork Fairy in the back hadn’t been affected.

There were twelve pairs of Silver Rails on that dial, each pair corresponding to the XY axes of a Clockwork Fairy. By manipulating their rotation, he controlled the Clockwork Fairy’s flight direction in the air.

It was an extremely complicated task.

It took him nearly three months to master the basic flight proficiency of the Clockwork Fairy, then another month to become adept at it, and only after six months was he barely able to use two Clockwork Fairies simultaneously.

But at that moment, Fang Hong had an urgent desire to see just how much easier it would be to operate a Flexible Construct with the system’s help.

He had not thought much of it before.

But after the previous mishap, he did not dare to be careless anymore.

Clearly, having a system and not having one were entirely different matters—

Of course, he no longer had the Clockwork Fairies. However, simply manipulating the Silver Rails was the same; with a slight thought, two Silver Rails began to rotate.

Then.

He froze.

He discovered that he no longer needed to consider whether the Silver Rails should turn left or right to correspond with the Clockwork Fairy’s pitch in the air. He simply had to visualize the flight path of the Clockwork Fairy, whether ascending or descending, which was enough to automatically prompt the Silver Rails to respond appropriately.

It was as if there was now a complex flight control software between him and the dial. With the help of the software, he could easily execute operations far more complex than before.

Of course, it wasn’t as easy as he imagined, especially when controlling more than two Clockwork Fairies.

But for Fang Hong at the moment, it was a triviality.

He closed his eyes.

The second pair of Silver Rails rose.

Then the third pair, then the fourth.

Until the fifth pair of Silver Rails got up shakily—

Fang Hong opened his eyes, his gaze filled with disbelief.

But this was not his limit; it was simply because his Computational Ability attribute had dropped to single digits, and the system could no longer handle more Clockwork Fairies.

Control beyond five.

Fang Hong could only think of one name. ’Regicide’ LOOFAH, the World Sword, the Waning Executioner, the world’s seventh-ranked and Combat Artisan’s first-ranked Alchemist.

But he took a deep breath.

Too bad he did not have Magical Adaptability.

And the other person, was the most powerful Dual-Element of Wind and Thunder Magical Adept.
