Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Blood Alchemy Room

The Blood Spring flowed continuously, and the Blood Well was finally completed.

”Done. Now we don’t have to worry about the Blood Spring (Corrosive) supply for the blood slaves falling behind,”

Serea said, finally able to let out a sigh of relief in her heart.

”That’s great.”

”No, this isn’t over yet.”

”Huh?”

”Hehe, come with me and you’ll see.”

Serea left a bit of suspense, then everyone exited the tree hole and arrived inside the camp. At that moment, Park was commanding the skeletons to clear snow from the ground, flosa was building the perimeter wall, and Maro...

...was sitting on a small stool, watching the gate.

After greeting each of them in turn, Serea came to stand in front of two unique three-story wooden buildings.

She glanced at her remaining materials...

Blood crystal: 674

Fear crystal: 377

Death Crystal: 743

Soul crystal: 217

After this period of use, the materials Serea had stashed away had dwindled substantially, though she was glad that she had reined herself in; otherwise, there wouldn’t be enough materials today to unlock any new technology.

But a question arose: Level Two buildings required five hundred units of material to unlock a single building, which was a little harsh...

With her current amount of blood crystals, she could only choose between ”Blood Alchemy Room” and ”Blood Stone Carving Workshop”; similarly, for the Death Altar’s buildings, she would have to choose one between ”Undead Ritual Platform” and ”Undead Necropolis.”

Let’s look at the buildings under the Blood Altar first, since the base requirements for Level Two buildings from the Blood Altar were essentially the same. Serea had already prepared two buildings to be unlocked.

The role of the Blood Stone Carving Workshop was roughly equivalent to an enchanting table—it could carve ”blood stones.”

Blood stones had a wide variety of uses: making Gargoyles, enchanting gear, and even the gemstone inside the Blood Well fell within the ”blood stone” category.

However, carving blood stones required raw materials. Ordinary blood stones were easy; just use blood crystals. But Gargoyles and building blood stones needed ”mana crystals” as their base material.

She could buy large quantities of low-grade mana crystals through the Xiyun Merchant Guild, but as for high-grade mana crystals...

There wasn’t enough money.

Compared to the enormous consumption of raw materials by the Blood Stone Carving Workshop, the Blood Alchemy Room was much more convenient; it only needed Blood Spring and various herbs as ingredients to produce large volumes of alchemical potions, or alchemical materials and items. For example, the various potions Serea had drawn were ”Blood Alchemy Room” products.

One had high consumption with a tremendous potential boost, the other had low consumption, offering...

Wait, that seems like the answer!

A flash of insight hit Serea—the Blood Stone Carving Workshop couldn’t be developed at all right now due to lack of materials. But if she set up the Blood Alchemy Room, she would be able to produce potions and all sorts of alchemical materials.

It had to be noted—right now, Serea had access to the ”Xiyun Merchant Guild.”

With the merchant guild’s trade network, those potions and alchemical materials could be converted into gold coins.

And then those coins could be used to purchase the mana crystals needed for the Blood Stone Carving Workshop’s consumption...

Wouldn’t that work out? Wouldn’t that be simply unbeatable!

Since trade was needed for development, she’d have to foster strong ties with the Xiyun Merchant Guild. Fortunately, thanks to her connection with Aruka, avril should be very willing to help her.

No need to hesitate—since she didn’t have the materials for the Blood Stone Carving Workshop, she’d go straight for the Blood Alchemy Room.

”Unlock ’Blood Alchemy Room’.”

System: ”Blood Alchemy Room” blueprint and building compatibility rate is eighty-nine percent. Spend 500 blood crystals to unlock construction? Once unlocked, further constructions will consume eighty percent less material.

”Uh... so after all that, it’s only the initial unlock that’s expensive, and this Blood Alchemy Room actually only costs 100 blood crystals.”

System: That is correct.

”Well, expensive or not, let’s unlock it!”

System: Unlocking construction, please wait...

As the system prompt sounded, five hundred blood crystals flew out one by one. Seeing so many blood crystals appear at once, the bracelet on Serea’s wrist instantly transformed into a slime. She leapt at the blood crystals.

”Stop! Don’t eat that!”

Serea yanked the slime back.

”But I’m hungry.”

”......”

Serea fed a soul crystal to Pelam, who contentedly transformed back into a bracelet.

Looking at the specially made wooden house, the power of blood formed from the blood crystals created a crimson, eerie magic circle. Under the effect of the circle, the wooden house underwent a few changes...

Its main colors became intertwined silver and red. But other than the change in color, not much else was different...

Construction complete!

Building: Blood Alchemy Room (Purple)

Level: 30

Sturdiness: D

Durability: C

Mana: B

Description: Level Two building of the Blood Altar. Can produce extremely powerful potions and alchemical materials, and grants all alchemists within its range the ”Spirit Focus” effect. It can subsequently be used to construct the ”Blood Forge Platform” and can unlock the Level Three building, ”Vampire Mage Tower (???)”.

Spirit Focus: Increases alchemy success chance by twenty percent, and boosts alchemical item quality by twenty percent.

”So, does the purification route count as a continuous production line?”

System: That’s one way to look at it, but not entirely. The rest is for you to discover on your own.

”May I ask, what conditions are required to unlock Level Three buildings...”

System: Level Three buildings require a dedicated building unlock certificate from the altar and 1,000 corresponding materials.

”I can accept 1,000 corresponding materials, but the ’building unlock certificate’...”

System: There is a 0.5% chance to obtain one by sacrificing Dark Power.

”Hearing that, I guess I’ll spend my life stuck at Level Two buildings...”

Serea said with great ”confidence.”

System: Please try even harder, host.

Ignoring the System’s words, Serea turned and addressed the group.

”Let’s go inside and take a look.”

Led by Serea, everyone entered the Blood Alchemy Room. Inside was already filled with all sorts of alchemy equipment—the facilities were all sourced from Shortie.

System: A ”mage” is required to operate the building.

”Uh...”

Another problem arose. Serea turned and looked at the group.

”Anyone know where to find an alchemist?”

She asked, just in case. The answer she received was...

”Sorry, queen. Our clan has always relied on the Spring of Life and herbs for restoration. We never had a need for potions, nor do we have any place to learn alchemy. So, there are no alchemists among our people,”

Lola said.

Hearing this, Serea looked troubled. But at that moment, Camilla timidly stepped forward.

”Um, I minored in alchemy at the Central Magic Academy. I only have an intermediate alchemist license, but I think I can do it.”

She was Serea’s only vampire subordinate, and Serea always kept her close to prevent her from freeing the blood slaves.

Serea hadn’t expected her to be both a priest and an intermediate alchemist.

”You’ll do. Come and give it a try.”

”O-okay, queen.”

Seeing everyone looking at her, Camilla seemed nervous, but she nonetheless stepped up to the alchemy platform.
