Berserk God of War

All the people of Huilin Village called out in fear, while the Great Village Elder stared fixedly at the small hut...

Finally, he said coldly, ”Everyone stay here and guard this place. I am going to report to the Island Master right now. I must know which village this Black Scale Demon comes from and make sure he hands over Yinlu.”

After speaking, the Great Village Elder quickly left.

Inside the small hut, Yinlu looked at Sikong Jing with a dazed expression, wondering how things suddenly turned out like this.

Sikong Jing slowly sat on the straw mat, a cold gleam flashing in his eyes: ”I once thought that if you weren’t the sacrifice, the entire Huilin Village would be slaughtered. It turns out they just don’t want too many people going to work on Divine Demon Island and merely sacrifice you alone.”

Originally, Sikong Jing had some sympathy for the people of Huilin Village, thinking they were forced to act.

Now, from various voices outside, he understood that lacking a sacrifice merely meant more villagers would go to work on Divine Demon Island for a month. Basically, it’s just to spare themselves from taking the risk, by sending Yinlu to her death.

Hence, Huilin Village is not worthy of sympathy.

The nearby Yinlu also gradually comprehended from Sikong Jing’s words and murmured, ”Previously, the village elders told me that if I didn’t become the sacrifice, I would cause the death of many villagers.”

Yinlu had only just come to know she was the sacrifice, everything she explained to Sikong Jing before was one-sided words from the village elders.

Now she knew, some words from the village elders were deceiving her.

In response, Sikong Jing laughed: ”Indeed, more villagers might die, and working on Divine Demon Island can be deadly too?”

Upon hearing this, Yinlu’s entire body slightly trembled, realizing it was true.

But she felt something was amiss, her thoughts had already changed from before, no longer so willing.

However, if she didn’t become the sacrifice, it truly would cause some villagers to die.

Seeing Yinlu’s thoughts and dilemma, Sikong Jing gently said, ”Working on Divine Demon Island doesn’t necessarily mean death, while becoming the sacrifice guarantees death. It’s just their selfishness.”

Although Sikong Jing said this, Yinlu was still too naive.

She became confused and helpless, not knowing what was right or wrong.

Being a part of Huilin Village, sacrificing herself for more villagers’ survival was justified, yet the villagers’ attitude and deceit made her uncomfortable, leaving her perplexed.

Looking at Sikong Jing, Yinlu suddenly cried, ”What should I do?”

Sikong Jing smiled lightly, his voice deepening: ”Repay goodness doubly, death holds no fear. But do they truly treat you well?”

Yinlu’s body shook violently, as if some understanding dawned upon her.

But she quickly shook her head: ”Yet not everyone treats me badly, Brother Daniu treats me...”

Here, Yinlu didn’t know how to continue, as nobody spoke for her.

Even Brother Daniu was there quarrelling over petty matters.

Sikong Jing chuckled lightly again and replied, ”Leave the rest to me. You rescued me from the seaside, I naturally won’t let you be the sacrifice. Except for Brother Daniu, others’ fate... is irrelevant!”

For Yinlu, the current situation was impossible to decide, so Sikong Jing chose for her.

His heart was so firm, he was so domineering!

The one who saved him must survive, even if eventually defeated, he’d rescue and take away, and the rest of Huilin Village if they were kinder he might find a way to save them, but for now... indeed irrelevant.

Of course, Sikong Jing would try to find a compromise to spare Yinlu, the Demon girl who saved him, from lifelong shadows.

Thus, he hadn’t forcefully taken her away immediately.

Instead, he stayed in the small hut, wanting to know the situation on Divine Demon Islands.

Staying here, he intended to gradually unravel the secrets of Divine Demon Islands.

Yinlu still felt bewildered, but she soon gulped nervously, saying, ”The Great Village Elder went to find the Island Master, you should go, the Island Master is terrifying, he’s the top expert on Huilin Island, with many strong men under his command.”

Sikong Jing only laughed in response.

He gently said, ”Don’t worry, I’m quite powerful too.”

After speaking, Sikong Jing already sat cross-legged on the straw, re-entering cultivation mode.

He comprehended the basic situation of Divine Demon Islands; next, he might confront people from Canghai Wujiang.

Simultaneously, he might face so-called criminals like Ba Zhun.

Power must be increased swiftly; the Human Clan meridians must be cultivated soon, and the Beast Clan meridians and Dantian must be restored.

Watching Sikong Jing in sudden cultivation, Yinlu opened her mouth.

Today’s events shocked her greatly, as if she abruptly encountered the world’s heartlessness and cruelty, its treacherous complexities...

Eventually, she sat dumbly again, like a drifting duckweed.

She didn’t know what to do, seemingly able only to trust the Black Scale Demon whose name she still unknown.

...

Overlord City, Heavenly Decision Hall!

The upper echelon of All Dominators and top sect experts like Qu Hanming were gathered to discuss the upcoming war.

They just retreated back to Overlord City.

At this moment, Beicang Tianjue suddenly asked, ”Where’s Yao Yulou? Why hasn’t he arrived yet?”

Yao Yulou was currently the strongest of Overlord Commerce; even Venerable Ba Lian, also at the Third Stage of Holy Martial, was no match for him. This critical meeting certainly needed him present.

Yet soon after the words settled, Murong Jianyun’s face changed suddenly.

He naturally understood the affairs between Yao Yulou and Jiang Wanyou.

For a month, Yao Yulou had almost endlessly fought and battled; while others needed rest, he didn’t...

He was in a Mad Demon state, a state of not stopping until Pei Kuang was dead!

And now the war paused temporarily, Yao Yulou might want to do something foolish, although the great foe Pei Kuang hasn’t been killed, who knows if Yao Yulou would too long for Jiang Wanyou and choose to end himself?

Just then... thud! thud! thud!

Urgent footsteps sounded heavily outside the great hall.

”Great Heaven Decision, something’s wrong.”

A shadow rushed into the Heavenly Decision Hall, it was Hua Meixi!

In the Mid Stage of this war, Hua Meixi had arrived from Central Plains East along with Yang Yi, Duanmu Duan, and Sacred Canggu Peak’s Tie Binghun in support, knowing her mother was no longer alive.

Crying after rushing in, she said, ”Uncle Yao disappeared; after telling Grandpa Yao and Granny Yao he’s unfilial, he vanished, likely to seek my mother.”

Speaking this, Hua Meixi nearly collapsed, while everyone in Heavenly Decision Hall felt their hair standing on end.

No doubt understanding the situation, Murong Jianyun immediately ordered, ”Quick, to Hanluan City.”

Yao Yulou calling himself unfilial likely meant he was seeking suicide, wasn’t it?
