Berserk God of War

When that voice finally fell, Qian Ta at last let out a breath.

Beside him, Xiong Tingting was dizzy with confusion; even if Young Master Sikong wanted to save her, he couldn’t let Pei Xie talk like that, right?

At the same time... thump!

Beicang and the others’ faces changed drastically as they stepped forward heavily; they also felt Pei Xie couldn’t be allowed to keep talking, but were calmly stopped by Murong Jianyun, and still no one knew what the latter was thinking.

At the same time, Ba Lie Venerable also let out a breath; he had finally blended into the line of powerful experts waiting in order.

Of course he hurriedly looked toward Sikong Jing behind him, but the man was already nowhere to be found.

The next moment, Sikong Jing’s voice suddenly rang out atop the Inner City’s city tower: ”Pei Xie, what did you just say?”

Pei Xie naturally didn’t recognize this as Sikong Jing’s voice; he thought it was some other Overlord Commerce person questioning him...

He continued, ”I said everything Murong Jianyun just said was complete bullshit; only our Qianwang Holy Tower is the one that—”

Before the words fell... boom!

A violent aura erupted like a Fierce Beast, then a figure shot to the front of Pei Xie; it was, of course, Sikong Jing who had just arrived, and before Pei Xie could finish speaking, Sikong Jing already—smack!

He sent a heavy slap crashing across Pei Xie’s face, and a shrill scream seemed to tear open the sky.

”Ah...”

Pei Xie screamed as his whole body was sent flying backward, about to crash down below the tower, but a hand suddenly shot out, drawing him back up, then a cold voice asked, ”Say it to me again—what did my Murong Datian Decision just say?”

At this moment, the entire audience was stunned!

This utterly off-the-rails development left everyone’s thoughts unable to catch up, completely dumbfounded.

How did someone suddenly rush out and slap Pei Xie?

Countless gazes fell on the top of the city tower.

They saw a black-clad man clutching Pei Xie by the chest; he stood high atop the tower, killing intent surging.

Pei Xie’s True Qi had long been sealed; in Sikong Jing’s hand he was like a leaf in a storm, one side of his face already swollen.

After several breaths, Pei Xie’s voice finally broke the silence again as he cried, ”Ba... Soul Dominator’s Heir?”

At this moment, Pei Xie also reacted, staring at Sikong Jing with disbelief and confusion...

Sikong Jing replied coldly, ”That’s me.”

Hiss...

With Sikong Jing and Pei Xie’s brief exchange, the crowd below all sucked in a sharp breath together.

Especially the genius disciples of the various powers; every one of them stared fixedly at Sikong Jing. Over this period, there had been far too many legends about him—everyone said he was the strongest young man in the Central Plains.

Seeing the real person now naturally filled them with curiosity, and his actions were something countless youths wouldn’t even dare to imagine.

He had slapped Qianwang Holy Tower’s Pei Xie on the spot, Pei Kuang’s younger brother—who would dare?

In the crowd below...

Su Yuexi had already regrouped with Mieqing Venerable and Sikong Ling and the others; they too were staring at Sikong Jing atop the tower, and they were gradually figuring out what Sikong Jing planned to do next.

They just hadn’t expected things to escalate this fast...

Sikong Jing had only just returned to Overlord City, and he was already starting the preplanned act of being expelled from Overlord Commerce. Wasn’t that a bit too rushed?

”It’s all that Ba Lie Venerable’s fault; otherwise Brother Jing wouldn’t be forced to move so fast.” Su Yuexi said with some irritation.

Originally they could have quietly spent two or three days with Sikong Jing in Overlord City, but because Gong Ying led Sikong Jing away, that was ruined; although Su Yuexi didn’t know what had happened after Sikong Jing went to Ba Lie Mansion.

But she knew Ba Lie Venerable had put her Brother Jing in a position where he had to act early...

Su Yuexi certainly didn’t know that Qian Ta and Pei Xie had also affected Sikong Jing’s timing; Xiong Tingting had just arrived in Overlord City and was about to carry out her mission to assassinate Pei Xie, so they could only accelerate the plan.

At this time, the Pei Xie in Sikong Jing’s hand came to his senses...

He instantly calmed, then sneered, ”Saying it a hundred times is the same—everything Murong Jianyun said is fake—ah!”

Before he finished, Pei Xie suddenly let out another scream, his voice once again ripping through the sky.

One of his arms had been torn clean off by Sikong Jing; then Sikong Jing, brimming with Evil Energy, asked, ”Then say it a hundred more times for me. Every time you say it, I’ll tear something off you.”

Once these words came out, after another uproar the crowd below fell quiet again...

Beicang and the others on the tower were dumbfounded; Dongwu couldn’t help but rush out, saying, ”Datian Decision, this...”

”No one is allowed to speak, and no one is allowed to make any move, or don’t blame me for turning hostile.” Murong Jianyun cut him off harshly; at this critical moment, he had to be strict, even to the point of exuding killing intent.

They all knew that if Pei Xie couldn’t serve as a witness and was instead going to bite back at Overlord City, then Sikong Jing’s next actions were crucial.

They had to both prevent Pei Xie from succeeding in his counterattack and keep suspicion away from Xiong Tingting, while also using the momentum of killing Pei Xie to shape a Demon image and get Sikong Jing expelled from Overlord Commerce, and, when expelling him, let the masses see that they were forced into it.

In short, they couldn’t afford a single mistake...

Even though Murong Jianyun absolutely trusted Sikong Jing, he was still incredibly tense; if they messed this up, they would lose their power.

Murong Jianyun’s stern voice made Dongwu shiver hard...

Nanfeng’s side said nothing; not understanding the situation, he naturally couldn’t act rashly and could only stay silent.

At the same time, off in the distance Qian Ta was frowning, then frowning again.

He still couldn’t figure out what the hell this was all for; what good was executing Pei Xie on the spot to Overlord Commerce?

At this moment, Pei Xie, tough as nails, forced back his screams and shouted again, ”Our Qianwang Holy Tower stands upright and righteous—”

”Righteous my ass. Do you not know how many people Qianwang Holy Tower has killed?”

Sikong Jing didn’t wait for him to finish before cursing outright; then he directly ripped off Pei Xie’s other arm, and no matter what Pei Xie said afterward, Sikong Jing just kept tearing, ripping Pei Xie alive until he no longer looked human.

But Pei Xie remained unbelievably tough; he simply clenched his teeth and refused to confess, continuing to refute Murong Jianyun’s earlier account.

At this moment, Xiong Tingting suddenly murmured in a low voice, ”I understand now. Soul Dominator’s Heir intends to publicly torture Lord Pei Xie, force him to speak the truth, make him lose all face and collapse on the spot.”

”But Lord Pei Xie is formidable; he just won’t open his mouth.”

Though she had betrayed Qianwang Holy Tower, for her daughter’s safety Xiong Tingting had no choice but to speak deliberately to curry temporary favor with Qian Ta.

Qian Ta finally understood as well; he smiled, nodded, and replied, ”Indeed so. But Lord Pei Xie will absolutely never give anything up—that’s exactly why the Tower Master trusts him so much.”

”He may act with Evil Energy, but he’s been famously tough since he was young.”

Hearing this, Xiong Tingting nodded on the surface, flattering him, but inwardly she was still worried.

Especially when Qian Ta continued in a gloomy tone, ”It’s very likely that after this execution fails, Murong Jianyun and Soul Dominator’s Heir will drag Lord Pei Xie back, and then you may have to continue your mission.”

Her whole body tensed slightly...

Xiong Tingting could only nod, then fix her gaze on the mangled Pei Xie and the now seemingly even more vicious and terrifying Sikong Jing.

By this time, the crowd had already begun cursing...

Of course it was Qianwang Holy Tower’s supporters; they started furiously scolding Sikong Jing for being too cruel, calling him a Little Demon.

Pei Xie was clearly in the right, Qianwang Holy Tower was clearly in the right; treating him so cruelly was utterly beneath the dignity of Overlord Commerce.

Some even went so far as to say they believed Overlord Commerce was the true culprit controlling Qianyuan Holy Demon Hall.

Beicang and the others grew more and more flustered as they listened; they felt things couldn’t go on like this...

One by one, they looked toward Murong Jianyun again, but he still remained motionless, as if none of this concerned him.
