Chapter 965: Chapter 965: Just Admit It, Just Kill

If it weren’t for the help of Yang Zhi and Li Feng, Wan Tonghui definitely wouldn’t dare to poke at the Supreme Dominator.

Just as everyone’s thoughts were shifting, Duanmu Chun said, ”Two groups from the Wansheng Team were killed while on a mission in Hanba District and Chaotic Eighth District. This is a serious matter and must be thoroughly investigated.”

In fact, this matter is not very serious, but in front of the captains, it certainly needs to be said this way.

After all, those who died were members of a team.

After a pause, Duanmu Chun looked at Wan Tonghui again and asked, ”What exactly is the situation?”

Wan Tonghui stood up again with a face full of sorrow and replied in a low voice, ”Duanmu Dabajue, I also don’t know what has happened. Both captains were executing the Li Ba Technique mission, and then they all died.”

He couldn’t admit to knowing too much and could only say they were all silenced.

As for the Li Ba Technique mission, this is easy to handle; just let Li Feng create two fake missions.

And Li Feng, of course, agreed readily.

Duanmu Chun nodded heavily, then looked at all the captains and asked, ”Did any of you execute missions in Hanba District and Chaotic Eighth District during midnight and the hours between 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.? Did you notice anything amiss?”

The captains exchanged glances!

At this moment, Hua Meixi stepped forward and said, ”Reporting to Duanmu Dabajue, I was in Hanba District last night but attended an auction. By the time the Wansheng Team members died, I had already returned to Hanyi District.”

In the next moment, Yang Li and Wan Tonghui also stated that they were in Hanba District but had gone home long before.

”At midnight, I was in Hanba District.”

As the voices of the previous three fell silent, another voice rang out, surprising everyone: it was Sikong Jing.

His face showed openness, causing a flash of cold light in the eyes of Wan Tonghui and Li Feng and others, somewhat taken aback.

”At 1 a.m. to 3 a.m., I happened to be in Chaotic Eighth District,” Yang Yi said, his voice equally open and straightforward.

Midnight was the time when Eagle Team Leader and others were killed; 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. was when Mouse Group Leader and others were killed.

In the next moment, Sikong Jing’s voice rang again, ”At 1 a.m. to 3 a.m., I also arrived in Chaotic Eighth District.”

Their words left the entire scene silent, leaving Wan Tonghui, Yang Li, Yang Zhi, and Li Feng incredulous. Why would they dare admit directly; was it because they feared a lie being exposed?

Especially Sikong Jing, there was no need for him to say he arrived in Chaotic Eighth District at 1 a.m. to 3 a.m.

In Yang Zhi and others’ plans, Sikong Jing and Yang Yi would surely be scared upon seeing the fabricated battle traces, surely would blame and deny it had anything to do with them...

They would certainly find various excuses, fabricating evidence of absence.

After all, they would certainly be afraid of being framed, and be bitten back fiercely by Wan Tonghui.

And as long as Sikong Jing and Yang Yi dared to make excuses and claim they were not present, they would immediately fall into their trap. If it was proven that Sikong Jing and Yang Yi acted first and eliminated the two leaders, they’d be finished.

But now, the fact that they are admitting directly contradicts their plan of framing.

Suddenly, Wan Tonghui was a bit stunned; how would the next trap be executed?

At the same time, Duanmu Chun glanced strangely at Sikong Jing and asked, ”Oh, Captain Yang and this young team member were in Hanba District and Chaotic Eighth District at that time. Did you see what happened?”

With Duanmu Chun’s question, everyone’s gaze fell on Sikong Jing and Yang Yi.

Yang Zhi signaled Wan Tonghui to stay calm and see what they would say next.

This time, Yang Yi spoke first, ”In response to Dabajue, I didn’t see.”

”Because at that time I was killing people, a group from who knows where wanted to rob the Blood Coagulation Marrow Pill that Brother Sikong bought at the auction, so I killed them all.”

Upon saying this, the scene was quiet to the extreme.

Duanmu Chun frowned, his eyes gleaming, already having a guess in his mind.

But he didn’t say it out loud; instead, he looked at Sikong Jing, ”How about you?”

Sikong Jing shrugged and replied, ”Because I showed wealth at the auction, people wanted to kill me and rob me, so I was in Chaotic Eighth District at midnight, killing a group of people who wanted to rob me.”

His words were almost identical to Yang Yi’s, just killing.

Duanmu Chun’s mouth twitched again, understanding more and more, but he took a deep breath and asked further, ”Why then did you rush to Chaotic Eighth District?”

To this, Sikong Jing replied truthfully, ”Because those people said before dying that they also wanted to rob Captain Yang’s Blood Coagulation Marrow Pill, so I hurried over and helped Captain Yang clean up, killed each one of those people.”

Upon his words, everyone had their eyes wide open.

Each captain was no ordinary person; they had already formed their conclusions but momentarily remained silent.

However, they knew the upcoming events were bound to be exciting and thrilling.

Hua Meixi’s head felt a bit sore; how did Sikong Jing stir up trouble again? She originally thought this matter had nothing to do with him.

If this matter is as they said, it would be truly ruthless.

At this moment, Yang Zhi finally took a deep breath, casting a slight glance at Wan Tonghui.

Although their admission was unexpected, the plan was still to attack.

Wan Tonghui immediately understood and furiously shouted at Sikong Jing and Yang Yi, ”It was you, you killed my team members and my two leaders. You are simply audacious, disregarding Domineering!”

He continued to act extremely sorrowful, taking the opportunity to attack.

Duanmu Chun’s gaze turned cold, then he calmly said, ”Captain Wan, please calm down; I will find out the truth.”

As he spoke, he looked at Yang Yi and Sikong Jing again, ”Are the people you killed members of the Wansheng Team?”

Duanmu Chun had already basically figured out what was going on but still needed to see the evidence.

Yang Yi and Sikong Jing both claimed the other party tried to rob them, thus requiring concrete evidence, and surely Wan Tonghui would present evidence of Yang Yi and Sikong Jing’s first act.

In any case, let’s see whether these two notorious ones will continue to admit.

Yang Yi spoke first again, ”In response to Dabajue, I am blind and cannot see if they are Wansheng Team members; I just killed those who tried to rob me.”

Instantly, the crowd froze; Yang Yi not seeing did make it hard to say anything.

Again, the crowd looked at Sikong Jing, who blinked and smiled lightly, ”I’ve only been in Hanluan City for a few days; how would I know who is a Wansheng Team member? I just killed those who tried to rob me.”

This answer left everyone speechless, as it seemed irrefutable either.

Their explanation wasn’t just out of the ordinary but a bit cheeky, yet legitimately cheeky.

Even Duanmu Duan felt a bit speechless.

One is blind, the other just arrived, and they firmly claim to have killed robbers... Even if it’s proven they did the killing, it can’t really be criticized.

Ignorance implies innocence!

This nearly puts them in an undefeated position unless Wan Tonghui can prove they knowingly acted first.
