Nine Revolutions Star Transformation

Chapter 303: Chapter 312: Morale Soaring

The Sea Dragon Empire has the advantage of numbers, making it easy to surround these soldiers of the Celestial Dragon Empire. However, although the other side is few in numbers, they are incredibly brave, with some having gone mad to the extreme.

Even after one arm is cut off, they continue to wield their weapons wildly, seemingly bleeding something other than blood, completely ignoring it, as if they have forgotten the pain and life and death, like they are possessed.

They only stop swinging when they are killed by the enemy, and some soldiers, lying on the ground dying, exert an unprecedented strength at the moment of death to firmly hold the feet of the Celestial Dragon Empire soldiers, preventing them from moving an inch.

Soldiers of the Sea Dragon Country, whose feet are held, are naturally soon killed by the blood-eyed soldiers of the Celestial Dragon Country.

For a time, the entire battlefield was like hell on earth, the stench of blood in the air so thick it seemed to stain the sky red, spreading crazily in all directions.

The ground was covered with corpses, creating a horrific scene of rivers of blood and bodies strewn about, shocking everyone who witnessed it.

The soldiers of the Celestial Dragon Empire seemed to go mad, slaughtering the soldiers of the Sea Dragon Empire indiscriminately. Some soldiers, having exhausted their Star Power, saw that they could no longer hold on and directly pounced on the enemy.

They allowed the enemy’s long sword to pierce their bodies, but before dying, they held firmly onto the enemy’s neck, allowing the nearby Celestial Dragon Empire soldiers to kill them.

As time passed, seeing their comrades continually die, people on both sides felt immense grief, especially the generals of the Sea Dragon Empire, who were even more furious.

Based on the current battle situation, the Celestial Dragon Empire lost fifty thousand soldiers, while their side lost almost a hundred thousand. This situation was nothing short of a disgrace, filling Yun Feiqing with rage, wanting to personally take the field and kill.

The Heaven-shattering Thunder, painstakingly developed with the manpower and resources on their side, had been of no use, but rather boosted the enemy’s morale, making it unbearable to the point of insufferable.

Although they could annihilate all two hundred thousand of the enemy forces, at least three hundred thousand on their side would be killed or injured, which effectively meant that the Celestial Dragon Empire had won this first battle.

”Pass my command to sound the retreat immediately!” Yun Feiqing decisively ordered.

Immediately, the sound of a huge horn echoed on the battlefield. Hearing this horn, the soldiers of the Sea Dragon Empire ran like rabbits, faster than the wind, fleeing from the mad-like soldiers of the Celestial Dragon Country as if fighting them was worse than death.

Seeing the soldiers of the Sea Dragon Empire retreating, the soldiers of the Celestial Dragon Empire also saw a glimmer of hope. No one had expected that this desperate fighting method would force the enemy to sound the retreat, making each individual fight with more fervor, as if they wanted to use up their Star Power in one attack.

After the Sea Dragon Empire sounded the retreat, Luo Ping immediately had the trumpet blown. This unexpected miracle was something no one had anticipated.

They thought they would have to sacrifice all twenty thousand troops until Chu Linfeng returned, but less than sixty thousand died. Of course, many were injured, almost everyone was wounded, and about ten thousand became disabled, either missing an arm or a leg, but their lives were preserved.

Subsequently, the soldiers of the Celestial Dragon Empire quickly withdrew to the city walls, and those unable to move were carried directly by several people.

Luo Ping immediately ordered the city gates to be opened to let these warriors into the city. The burdened hearts could now be set at ease, and for a moment, the soldiers of the Celestial Dragon Empire let out a thunderous roar, praising and admiring these returning heroes.

After everyone entered the city, the gates were promptly closed. Luo Ping directly instructed the military physicians to take out countless Healing Elixirs from the army’s stockpile for the wounded soldiers to use. Additionally, each person received an upper-grade Star Stone to restore their Star Power.

The people on the side of the Celestial Dragon Empire were all very excited. Such a small number of casualties were unexpected by everyone.

On the other hand, the Sea Dragon Empire was in low spirits, each looking terrified, not daring to speak casually.

Yun Feiqing, with a livid face, glared at several generals in the camp angrily: ”Useless! Damn it, you are all useless! You can’t even annihilate a mere two hundred thousand; how did you command?

We even have the Heaven-shattering Thunder, such heaven-defying siege firearms, yet ten thousand soldiers were killed or injured, what good are you? It would be better to kill you all.”

”Marshal, please calm your anger. We can’t entirely blame our soldiers; the key is those thieves of the Celestial Dragon Empire. Each one of them is unafraid to die, fighting a completely offensive battle without defense, swapping injuries for injuries and lives for lives. In terms of morale, we lost a step, making it very difficult to win against the enemy,” one general said.

”Nonsense, do you think I’m blind? If this continues, even if we slaughter all two hundred thousand, what use is it? The casualties on my side will be greater, reaching at least over three hundred thousand.

And the enemy still has eight hundred thousand troops resting in the city, and if the city gates suddenly open, the consequences will be unimaginable; otherwise, I wouldn’t have sounded the retreat.” Yun Feiqing said.

”Marshal, this matter should be discussed at length. Although the Heaven-shattering Thunder has great power and can kill many, it increases the enemy’s morale. Moreover, the enemy seemed to know we had the Heaven-shattering Thunder.

Everyone kept a certain distance. As soon as they saw the Heaven-shattering Thunder launch, they started to dodge. Many of them had water bags for cooling, all proving that the enemy knew of our Heaven-shattering Thunder.

And these twenty thousand troops couldn’t enter the city urgently and had decided to die for their country. This result happened because of their determination,” a general said.

Yun Feiqing thought what he said made sense, so he asked, ”Does anyone have suggestions to boost our soldiers’ morale?”

The generals bowed their heads in thought for a moment, and one said, ”Marshal, we could launch a night raid to catch them off guard.”

”How would a night raid work? Tell me, if it’s feasible, I’ll reward you greatly,” Yun Feiqing said.

”At this moment, the thieves of the Celestial Dragon Empire have all entered the city, and the range of our Heaven-shattering Thunder can reach three hundred meters, while their arrows only reach two hundred meters. We can launch Heaven-shattering Thunder attacks directly on the city walls.

The guards on the walls are not few, at least over a hundred thousand, and the range of Heaven-shattering Thunder far exceeds the position of the walls, which can also injure other soldiers inside. I’m sure we can kill at least a hundred thousand of them,” the general said.

Yun Feiqing pondered for a moment and asked, ”Does everyone think this plan is feasible?”

”It’s feasible; this move traps them like fish in a barrel. We can even move the carts a hundred meters closer, even though it’s within the enemy’s range. If sacrificing thousands of our people can exchange for hundreds of thousands of the enemy’s lives, I think it’s worth it,” one general said.

”Great! Let’s execute this plan for a night raid on the enemy camp, send twenty thousand troops for assistance, and let five thousand soldiers launch the Heaven-shattering Thunder. I refuse to believe five thousand people can’t launch fifteen Heaven-shattering Thunders...”
