Nine Revolutions Star Transformation

Chapter 186: Chapter 187: Sandstorm and Flaming Scorpion

”Sandstorm? Golden Fur, are you saying it’s a sandstorm?” This time it was the Purple Demon Thunder Fox’s turn to be surprised.

”Even though I haven’t seen the sandstorm you’re talking about, my instinct tells me that’s it, with endless yellow sand sweeping up into the air, the sky covered in darkness, rolling towards us.” The Golden Demon Vulture said confidently.

”We must go down quickly and find a place to hide, or else everyone will be doomed if caught in the sandstorm and burned by the Burning Glaze Fire.” The Purple Demon Thunder Fox’s absolutely beautiful face showed an expression of extreme urgency.

”It’s all yellow sand here, there’s nowhere to hide, where do we go?” The Golden Demon Vulture said gloomily, slowly landing.

Upon landing on the yellow sand, Chu Linfeng surveyed the surroundings and said, ”Everyone, don’t panic. It’s just a sandstorm, right? If it comes, we’ll find a high dune to hide behind, then get down on the ground and cover our bodies with clothes.”

”Boss, how do you know this?” The Golden Demon Vulture asked in surprise after transforming, really doubting that Chu Linfeng knew this.

”I once read a book on handling sandstorms in the desert, so I know.” Chu Linfeng laughed, firmly believing the Sword Spirit had informed him in time, but he casually dodged the truth to avoid revealing the Sword Spirit.

The four found the highest dune nearby and chose a place with the wind at their backs according to the sandstorm’s direction.

”Jingyi, your purple light shield should be fine, but after the sandstorm passes, it might disappear too. I worry you won’t be able to withstand the heat here.” Chu Linfeng spoke up.

”With you here, I’m not afraid. Don’t you have Ice Crystal? Just take it out then.” Sima Jingyi wasn’t worried at all about this.

”Big Brother, it’s all yellow sand here, how do we get out? We’ve been flying for so long and haven’t seen a trace of the Teleportation Gate.” said the Purple Demon Thunder Fox.

”Ouch!” At this moment, the Golden Demon Vulture yelled and then jumped up from the yellow sand, looking quite comical.

”Old Jin, what are you yelling about, don’t tell me the yellow sand burned your behind!” Chu Linfeng laughed.

”Boss, there’s something under this yellow sand, I got bitten, it hurts so much.” The Golden Demon Vulture said seriously.

Everyone knew the Golden Demon Vulture was an Eighth Rank Demon Beast, ordinary attacks couldn’t affect him. Since he said it hurt, it had to be a powerful attack, everyone quickly stood up.

Then a rustling sound came, the yellow sand around them kept surging, much like when the Flame Snake appeared, all magical beasts in the sand.

”Everyone be careful, could it be more Flame Snakes!” Chu Linfeng immediately called out, just having killed a Flame Snake King, now another appears, good grief, am I that easy to bully.

Everyone guarded cautiously, and Chu Linfeng directly took out the Cyan Frost Sword from the Storage Ring. At this moment, out of the yellow sand suddenly emerged red scorpions about a foot in length, numbering roughly a thousand, completely surrounding Chu Linfeng and the group.

”Scorpions? Damn! They’re actually scorpions. Old Jin, you randomly pick a place to land and run into so many scorpions, is our luck too good?” Chu Linfeng said gloomily.

”Boss, how would I know? These scorpions seem to have strong defense, although no fire on their bodies, their tails must have Fire Poison, my rear feels like it’s being roasted by fire.” The Golden Demon Vulture said.

”Big Brother, what do we do? Right at this critical moment, we run into these scorpions. If I’m not mistaken, these should be Flaming Scorpions, though small in size, they’re even harder to deal with than Flame Snakes, the quantity is enormous, defense power strong, we must plan to retreat.” The Purple Demon Thunder Fox said.

”Old Jin, quickly return to your original form, we’ll fly to the side, we can’t mess with these creatures.” As soon as Chu Linfeng finished speaking, dozens of Flaming Scorpions were already approaching him, raising their fist-sized pincers to attack.

”Boss, I feel like I’m burning up inside, can’t fly at all. You better use your Ice Crystal to remove the Fire Poison first.” The difficult Golden Demon Vulture spoke in agony, his entire face turning blood red, looking incredibly uncomfortable.

Mentioning the Ice Crystal, Chu Linfeng immediately got an idea; lately, he had become so forgetful, even about such an important item.

He immediately took out the Ice Crystal and waved it at the Flaming Scorpions approaching, which instantly had an effect, causing the nearby Flaming Scorpions to quickly retreat.

However, they only retreated to a distance of one meter before stopping, not retreating swiftly like the Flame Snakes, seeming not very afraid of the Ice Crystal.

”Old Jin, come over here, I’ll remove the Fire Poison for you, I don’t understand, you and Xiao Xiao are Eighth Rank Demon Beasts, yet you can’t deal with these scorpions here, you’re a Flying Magical Beast, aren’t you supposed to like these insect types?” Chu Linfeng asked puzzled.

”Boss, I don’t know why either, coming here feels like my strength is clearly less than before, it’s like I’m being suppressed, and besides, these creatures are all fiery, but I eat flesh and blood, how am I supposed to eat them? In the Magic Beast Forest, they’d panic seeing me and hide, yet here they dare attack me, it’s too dark.” The Golden Demon Vulture said helplessly.

Sima Jingyi was protected by her light shield, so Chu Linfeng wasn’t worried. The Purple Demon Thunder Fox covered himself entirely with purple electricity, making the Flaming Scorpions too afraid to approach, leaving Chu Linfeng and the Golden Demon Vulture as their only targets.

Chu Linfeng applied the Ice Crystal on the Golden Demon Vulture’s rear, and the burning sensation was immediately reduced, ”Alright, Boss, though not completely removed, it’s much better. Now, it’s crucial to deal with these troublesome creatures.”

Suddenly, a strange phenomenon occurred, the Flaming Scorpions began to retreat, stopping only after moving back over ten meters, clustering together in a frightening manner.

The most astonishing thing was they started to climb, one by one crawling onto each other, then with a flash of red light, they all vanished, while a huge new creature appeared before the four.

It was a towering giant several meters high, resembling the Flaming Scorpions, with two huge pincers raised high, a hooked tail pointed upwards.

”These creatures actually formed into a giant Flaming Scorpion, how, how is this possible? My god, what kind of place is this, it’s so dangerous.” Chu Linfeng exclaimed, feeling that this large scorpion made up of thousands of Flaming Scorpions must be even harder to deal with than the Flame Snake King.

At that moment, a yellow cloud suddenly appeared in the sky, ”The sandstorm is coming, everyone hide.” The Purple Demon Thunder Fox said.

Indeed, with the giant Flaming Scorpion in front and a sandstorm behind, dangers abounded...

PS: Originally planned to write another Chapter, but now I’ve got a terrible headache and can’t continue, extremely frustrating.
