From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

”Nonsense! Putting aside where your friend is from and whether she can eliminate the Insect Race, just when she appeared also...” As he was speaking, the person suddenly raised his hand and pulled Yongping from Gu Ningzhi’s hand, the blade slashing through the air and abruptly clashing with another blade, producing a crisp humming sound. Seeing this scene, the three of them were stunned...

The strange woman and Gu Ningzhi were bewildered; how could a living person suddenly appear in the originally empty space? Meanwhile, Su Jiameng, who had been teleported here, stared blankly at the sword that was clashing with her Cross Saber... This is...

”Yongping?” Su Jiameng exclaimed in surprise, not given time to react, the cold light struck again, she blocked with ”Xihe,” using a clever twist of her wrist to redirect Yongping’s blade momentum to the side, then striking the opponent’s wrist nerve at lightning speed.

Yongping slipped from her hand, embedding straight into the ground a meter away. The blade quivered slightly, the humming sound still resonating.

”How do you know the name of this sword?” The woman frowned slightly, staring at Su Jiameng’s face for a while. This face bore a slight resemblance to someone she remembered before a disfigurement, easily mistaken at first glance. But she quickly regained clarity, her eyes as cold as a snake, focused on the opponent, ”And... when did you appear here?”

”Let’s put these questions aside for now, how did Yongping end up in your hands!” Su Jiameng glanced at a subtle mark on Yongping’s blade, her heart tensing. The style of a Cross Saber is common, making it easy for two blades to look alike. But despite the resemblance, there’s no way such small details could be identical! On the blade was clearly engraved her former enlistment number!

Upon hearing Su Jiameng’s question, the woman froze momentarily, then pursed her dry lips, her hand hidden under her cloak gripping nervously. Being far from the Qiming Star and away from the Human Alliance, she completely abandoned her disguise to conceal her telekinesis fluctuations...

Recognizing Yongping, possessing telekinesis ability, resembling that person in appearance and skills... an alarming thought sprouted in her heart, making her almost want to take flight. But she knew she couldn’t run now! She would reveal her secret if she did. After all, the battlefield-savvy Mr. Su was no fool... right, Su Jiameng?

Su Jiameng looked at the person in front of her, fragmented scenes flashing through her mind. Looking at this gaunt figure, she couldn’t help but recall someone she hadn’t thought of in decades. Yet, that person only suffered from some natural anemia, appearing frail, not as this person before her, exuding a gloomy, decayed aura, as if with no will to live.

”I accidentally found this sword in the wreckage of a broken mecha.” The strange woman said slowly, and Gu Ningzhi widened his eyes slightly. He instantly understood the other party was deceiving, misleading Su Jiameng!

Based on her previous statements, she clearly had known the previous owner of Cross Saber Eternal Peace, and now claimed to have picked it up? Why lie, or is she just lying to Su Jiameng? How did Su Jiameng immediately recognize that sword as Yongping? Moreover, how did this woman get here from an unknown number of light-years away from Qiming Star?

”Picked up?” Su Jiameng frowned, skeptical of this claim, ”Do you think I will believe it?”

The strange woman knew well this couldn’t dispel the other’s doubts, but she held an absolute reason to convince Su Jiameng, ”Hmm, I also found the sword’s owner in that mecha wreckage, seemed to be called Han Yeming...”

Han... Yeming? Hearing this name, Su Jiameng nearly lost her grip on Xihe. How many years had it been since she last heard that name? Her once trusted childhood friend and comrade who later became a distant stranger? Still remembered from the previous life’s message, after forgetting to bring Yongping out, the sword seemingly ended up in Han Yeming’s hands...

If this person before her wasn’t lying... it seems Han Yeming inexplicably ended up in this world too?

”That man was thoroughly dead, his body seemingly bitten by something, a horrific death...” The strange woman continued indifferently, then asked, ”You could call out the name of this sword, do you know someone named Han Yeming?”

”I don’t know him!” Su Jiameng denied instinctively, then realized her tone and attitude were too harsh, softened it and said, ”I recognized Yongping by chance, and was naturally surprised to see it here...”

Gu Ningzhi watched these two women deceiving each other, inexplicably felt excluded from another world.

”My name is Gong Yulu...” previously numbered 336073, ”Nice to meet you, what’s your name?”

”Su Jiameng.” Reaching out her hand, this person’s hand was alarmingly cold, weak and thin, with many fading needle marks and slight bruising on the exposed arm, ”Are you... the current owner of Yongping?”

”Yes.” The other resisted the urge to withdraw her hand, ”It’s a very interesting sword, without it, I might have died here.”

Su Jiameng nodded noncommittally, then turned to Gu Ningzhi, and asked, ”Did you bring me here just because of this person?”

The ”Mother Tree,” which had grown to near Insect General Level, was indeed troublesome. Fortunately, Yongping was here, otherwise, these two in the territory circled by ”Daughter Trees” would be courting death. At least, it was impossible to idly sit and enjoy the view.

”Uh... although I’m not sure if it’s the Insect Race, but... its habits are very similar to what you said about the Insect Race.” Gu Ningzhi thought quickly, concealing Gong Yulu’s previous slip, secretly winking at her playfully.

”It is the Insect Race, and a very valuable one at that. You really hit the jackpot this time...” Su Jiameng determined the direction, pulled out Xihe, and said to the two, ”Wait here, I’ll go take care of this thing first!”

Gu Ningzhi: ”...” Acting so arrogantly, is that really okay?
