From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

Gu Ningzhi flipped through the calendar, calculating the things he needed to do soon. Then he got up, packed his things. Because he promised Su Jiameng to help her complete two things, he chose to join the Expedition Army for the tasks to proceed smoothly!

However, he didn’t enter the Expedition Army as ”Second Young Master Gu,” but as an ordinary to the extreme ordinary soldier, with a background as simple as can be. Of course, this identity was fabricated by Gu Ningzhi himself to conceal his true identity.

”I didn’t expect time to pass so quickly, the mixed combat...” Gu Ningzhi packed the things he needed, then put on the ordinary soldier’s uniform given by Li You, adjusted his attire in front of the mirror, and only after confirming his appearance was normal did he stop.

”Ah, it’s been a long time since I’ve done this... really not used to it.” Gu Ningzhi still wanted to dawdle, but a certain someone’s impatient urging came through the brain computer, mocking him for dragging his feet like a little girl, muttering, ”This Li You... really not likable.”

Upon stepping out, he found the other party already waiting in a hovercar. Opening the car door, Gu Ningzhi tossed his backpack onto the back seat and looked at Li You’s profile, saying, ”Oh my, for someone like me to have the luck of being personally picked up by Lieutenant General Li You.”

”Right, you really do make quite an entrance,” Li You replied with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. Gu Ningzhi knew the other was currently angry and didn’t rush to provoke. However, his reluctance to provoke didn’t mean the other would let him off easily. Li You continued, ”Once you’re in the Expedition Army, be cautious in everything. Don’t let anyone recognize you, or we’ll both be in trouble.”

”You don’t need to remind me of these things, I will be careful.” Gu Ningzhi inexplicably felt he was being treated as a child, ”If my actions this time get leaked, it will alert the enemy, and we might not even catch small fry.”

”It’s good you’re aware, don’t cause trouble for me!” Li You drove steadily. Despite his current irritation, he knew well that being able to fight alongside him again was a happy occasion!

But Gu Ningzhi’s temperament really didn’t suit the sternness of the Expedition Army, likely wouldn’t last long...

However, they had an agreement: unless Gu Ningzhi defeated him, he shouldn’t think about leaving the Expedition Army once he joined! As the departure date was drawing nearer, even Li You was getting busy, practically running around like he was on fire! Now, to spare any time from his busy schedule to pick up Gu Ningzhi... truthfully, he was a bit afraid the latter would bail at the last minute.

Fortunately, this time Gu Ningzhi was serious about doing this and didn’t leave without notice, relieving a long-held breath.

As an airborne ordinary soldier in the Expedition Army, Gu Ningzhi’s appearance didn’t cause much of a stir; everything proceeded smoothly. Moving to the specialized single dormitory, Gu Ningzhi found a new message on his brain computer, surprisingly from his elder brother.

Since he was inside the Expedition Army, Gu Ningzhi didn’t dare speak recklessly or contact others, and even his nonchalant demeanor had restrained considerably. After analyzing the garbled message sent by his elder brother Gu Ningyi, he understood what the other wanted to discuss, and sent a message back in the same manner, ”I might participate, why, is my brother also curious about this?”

Then, the reply from Gu Ningyi almost scared the urine out of him; his... his elder brother actually intended to participate too?

Damn, this was totally like a god-level pro in divine gear slaying small monsters! Although that Su Jiameng has quite a few skills, she wouldn’t be able to withstand it! Gu Ningzhi had witnessed firsthand his elder brother’s prowess, strong enough to feel like a cheat! Even though he knew Su Jiameng had telekinesis as a trump card, if she didn’t use it, the outcome would be crystal clear!

He felt Su Jiameng was bound to lose this time! Hmm, should he secretly bet on that arrogant little lass losing?

Gu Ningzhi’s thought wasn’t without reason; after all, the girl was still looking as leisurely and care-free now, without an ounce of tension before the big battle! Not a hint of sincerity! If her opponent found out what she was up to now, they’d probably be enraged to the core? Gu Ningzhi never doubted Su Jiameng’s talent for infuriating others.

A mixed combat was after all a combat among thousands of people, it’s important to make strategic preparations in advance, but look at Su Jiameng... no mobilization meeting, no commands given out, so lax and lazy, it would be strange if she won.
