Cultivation is just so scientific!

Chapter 131: Chapter 112 Witch

Li Shiming had sensed the fluctuation of Spiritual Power Pattern in less than a breath’s time when a streak of light arrived beside him.

The light enveloped a girl around fifteen or sixteen years of age, wearing a peach-colored floral dress. The girl’s face was pale as gold leaf, an indication of severe injuries.

Upon seeing him, a relaxed expression appeared on the girl’s face. Then the light descended toward him, and at that moment, the girl gloriously fainted.

Li Shiming effortlessly transformed into a hand of Spiritual Energy, catching the girl.

He dared not allow the unfamiliar Cultivator to come too close to him, as he had seen plenty of dangers in the Cultivation World.

After catching the girl, he found that she had already passed out.

It seemed that after being severely injured, she had persisted in escaping and had fainted upon seeing him and relaxing her mind, probably believing the danger was no longer present.

Li Shiming did not underestimate this girl; though young in appearance, the fluctuations of her Spiritual Energy were that of the late-stage Qi Refinement.

After analyzing the girl’s condition through the IBM z15, the conclusion was that the girl had indeed fainted.

“Do I seem that trustworthy to her?” Li Shiming touched his face, thinking he must look quite exceptional in this world, otherwise why would the girl feel safe with him?

He looked at the girl’s face, feeling a sense of familiarity, yet he couldn’t recall where he had seen her before.

After cross-referencing with IBM z15, he was one hundred percent certain that he had never met this girl.

If the girl was fleeing, then surely some Cultivator must be pursuing her.

He thought for a moment, covered the girl’s eyes with cloth, and then placed her into the machine room space.

He distributed a bit of his consciousness within the machine room space, ready to immediately transfer the girl out upon her awakening.

Rescuing the girl was not because of her stunning appearance; an injured girl, no matter how beautiful, would not appeal.

Li Shiming was no stranger to beautiful women. He had saved the girl driven by the sense of familiarity, which evoked in him a desire to help.

The paper crane continued to fly. He carefully observed his surroundings. The Cultivator who had inflicted such severe injuries on the girl was still unknown, and it was uncertain whether they would also attack him.

While he was thinking, a terrifying presence flew over his head from behind.

“Master Du Yuan!” Li Shiming looked up and saw Old Monk Du Yuan, and quickly bowed in greeting.

Old Monk Du Yuan’s eyes flashed with golden light, apparently using some Secret Technique, his face one of bewilderment.

“Little Benefactor, have you seen a Little Witch pass this way?” Old Monk Du Yuan’s attitude towards Li Shiming was still very kind, as he asked.

Upon hearing the term Little Witch, Li Shiming immediately thought of the girl, presuming that she had been harmed by Old Monk Du Yuan.

“I have been on the road all this time, and have not met anyone besides Master!” Having already saved the girl, Li Shiming would not betray her at this point, and he bowed in response.

“That Little Witch escaped!” Old Monk Du Yuan’s expression remained unchanged, he calmly shook his head and then advised Li Shiming, “Should you encounter a young woman in peach clothing, be very wary. That Little Witch is cunning and ruthless. You are no match for her, keep your distance!”

Old Monk Du Yuan paid great attention to Li Shiming, even offering the Oral Lotus Cultivation Technique and a Buddhist relic to persuade him to join the Buddhist sect.

In his view, Li Shiming was naturally meant to be among the Buddhist community, and if Li Shiming were to join, his creative talents could greatly contribute to spreading the Buddhist teachings worldwide.

Old Monk Du Yuan did not want the Little Witch to influence Li Shiming, jeopardizing his investment.

Of course, he did not suspect that Li Shiming had hidden the Little Witch, although it was strange that her aura abruptly disappeared upon reaching this location, recalling the girl’s background, employing some special methods was also possible.

His main reason was Li Shiming’s lower realm; Old Monk Du Yuan believed Li Shiming was incapable of concealing anything from him.

After a moment, Old Monk Du Yuan picked a direction and flew away on his gourd.

Li Shiming watched Old Monk Du Yuan’s retreating figure without any movement, still maintaining the paper crane’s flight.

He dared not underestimate these sly old fellows.

After all, the girl was in the machine room space, in an environment rich in Spiritual Energy, which was beneficial for her recovery.

Furthermore, his consciousness in the machine room space could detect that the girl’s aura was stabilizing. She must have taken some healing Elixir Pills earlier.

He merely needed to ensure that the girl did not awaken, the rest he could handle as usual.

Old Monk Du Yuan halted at a distance where Li Shiming could not observe him, following Li Shiming for a while.

Partly, he did this to protect Li Shiming, and also to see if Li Shiming really had not encountered the Little Witch.

Only after two hours did he deem Li Shiming relatively safe and truly left.

Li Shiming did not realize this, and in the absence of employing the Sword Escape, he continued to fly on the paper crane until it was dark.

He found a mountaintop and released the copper corpse to dig out a temporary cave dwelling.

With prior experience, the copper corpse dug rapidly, and as the temporary cave dwelling only needed one room, it was ready in the time it took to drink a cup of tea.

Entering the temporary cave dwelling, he immediately took the girl out of the machine room space.

After thinking it over, he took out the Gathering Spirit Plate and placed it at the center of the room.

This would create an environment that could still be acceptable for Spiritual Energy, even in the spiritually sparse mundane world.

The girl slept on a bed made of large stones, and Li Shiming sat cross-legged at the entrance of the cave.
