The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1820: Cain vs Star ArchDeity

”THUMP!”

A heartbeat—powerful and resonant—echoed across the battlefield like a cosmic drum, signaling the movement of a divine harbinger of death. Its strength reverberated through the air, shaking even the most powerful beings to their core.

”AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”

Before the Archdeities could react, a gut-wrenching scream of agony split the chaos. The colossal tentacled monstrosity, previously a dominant force on the battlefield, was violently impaled by an immense force, shattering every bone in its body and catapulting it into the ominous depths of the Scarlet Throne.

”ZNNNNNNNNNNN!”

A sharp, reality-rending sound followed immediately after, as another Late-Stage Prima Deity—a living ocean of blood—was struck mercilessly by Cain’s palm. The gravitational power emanating from Cain’s hand forced the deity’s amorphous body into a human form before cruelly tossing it into the Scarlet Throne as well.

In a span shorter than a single breath, Cain had not merely defeated but utterly sealed away two extraordinarily powerful Prima Deities who served under the Lord of Ages. It was undeniably clear to everyone present that his strength had now ascended to a point where even the mightiest Prima Deities posed no genuine threat. His speed and momentum rendered their resistance futile, turning what should have been a challenging fight into a ruthless massacre. He was akin to a lion charging through a group of helpless rabbits.

A cold, satisfied smile played briefly upon Cain’s lips as he observed the dread reflected in the faces of the remaining Prima Deities. But that fleeting moment of triumph vanished instantly as Cain’s eyes blazed with golden intensity. His grip on Sky Devourer tightened fiercely as he twisted his immense body upward to intercept a powerful new adversary—none other than the Star Archdeity.

Sky Devourer and the Star-infused blade clashed with cataclysmic fury, creating an explosion so immense that the very fabric of spacetime cracked violently. The immense shockwave sent all nearby Prima Deities spiraling helplessly into the distance, their formations shattered by the sheer magnitude of power unleashed.

The Scarlet Throne immediately sealed itself and vanished. Despite its tremendous capabilities, it was ultimately just a portal to Cain’s unique internal dimension—not intended as either shield or weapon.

Cain wasted no thought on this as he focused entirely on the Star Archdeity, driving his body to the absolute limit of its capabilities. Muscles bulged, veins throbbed, and his massive Neo-Demon form towered above the Star Archdeity, nearly quadrupling the size of the formidable deity. Yet, despite his immense stature and strength, Cain felt himself steadily being pushed back, each inch of ground lost underscoring the massive gap between them.

”Sixth Gear!” Cain roared fiercely, his heartbeat surging with astonishing force. Its rhythm was so powerful, so swift, that it resembled one prolonged, thunderous beat echoing eternally across the firmament. The Star Archdeity’s eyes widened slightly in shock and disbelief as Cain’s power surged dramatically, effectively challenging the Archdeity’s dominance in a clash of raw strength.

The very idea of a Prima Deity holding his ground against an Archdeity was absurd—an unfathomable spectacle. The gulf between their realms was immense, and of hundreds of Peak Stage Prima Deities, scarcely a handful ever crossed that divine threshold. Yet, astonishingly, Cain Laurifer stood as an exception, defying logic under the awestruck gazes of both allied and enemy armies.

Energy surged between their swords, building to a crescendo until it exploded spectacularly, forcibly separating the two titans and sending them hurtling in opposite directions. The Star Archdeity swiftly regained control of his trajectory, stabilizing instantly with practiced ease. Cain, by contrast, took several strained moments longer to recover, revealing clearly that, at least in endurance and resilience, the Neo-Demon was still at a disadvantage.

Nevertheless, that brief delay did nothing to diminish the sheer wonder and awe displayed on every face witnessing this monumental clash. Even the enemy Prima Deities could hardly conceal their envy and admiration for Cain’s extraordinary talent and divine strength—power surpassing even the wildest imaginations.

Cain himself had no luxury to bask in their admiration. He felt his bones cracking under the immense strain. Although the infinite vitality flowing continuously from the Scarlet Throne swiftly healed his injuries, these brief but painful moments clearly demonstrated the still-existing gap between him and a true Archdeity.

”He is already wounded and exhausted,” Cain silently acknowledged. ”If I had faced him at his peak, the situation would be far worse.”

Despite this grim recognition, Cain’s expression twisted into a fierce, defiant smile. His killing intent exploded outward with renewed intensity, and his aura surged even higher as he boldly ascended into the highest skies—directly challenging the Archdeities on their own battlefield.

The Star Archdeity’s eyes narrowed sharply, twitching in irritation and disbelief at Cain’s brazen provocation. To follow Cain into that celestial battlefield was an affront, an insult beyond forgiveness. This mere Prima Deity was openly taunting a superior being.

”I will show you the true might of the universe, you insolent ant!” The Star Archdeity bellowed furiously, erupting into the highest sky. His body blazed, a limitless ocean of stellar power surging forth with a brilliance capable of drowning worlds.

Cain inhaled deeply, his mind intensely focused. The Power of Order and the Flow synchronized perfectly, enabling him to push his concentration and bodily control far beyond normal limits. Each microscopic movement of the Star Archdeity’s muscles, every ripple of divine energy, fell under Cain’s analytical gaze.

Refusing to let the Star Archdeity fully capitalize on his immense momentum, Cain plunged downward with unstoppable force. He channeled every ounce of his devastating power into Sky Devourer’s keen edge, unleashing a strike capable of splitting worlds in two.

”BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!”

Their blades collided once again, flooding the heavens with a furious tempest of destructive and cosmic energies. The violent ocean of devastation and star power illuminated the entire battlefield, bathing everything below in a dazzling, otherworldly glow. Reality itself shuddered and cracked beneath the impact, signifying clearly to all beings watching that this was of those at the peak of the Second Realm of the Crimson World.
