The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1813: Oniric Truth of Envy

Just as the Prima Deities believed things were finally calming down, the dark green dragon began to tremble violently. His massive frame twisted and cracked loudly, compressing rapidly into itself. The majestic yet terrifying figure of Meylin re-emerged from within the collapsing form, as the entire dragon’s colossal body condensed down into a single point, swiftly forming Meylin’s new left eye.

Unlike her right eye—which radiated a brilliant golden aura symbolizing the raw and unrestrained essence of Pride—this new left eye became a deep, mysterious shade of dark green, emanating a completely new and equally profound power. At first, the energy leaking from this eye hinted at a desire to seize or take from others, a force reminiscent of covetousness. However, as it settled, everyone realized the power was much deeper, far more intrinsic than mere avarice. It represented an unfulfilled yearning, a relentless aspiration to evolve and become something greater.

Cain observed this incredible transformation closely, and a wide smile gradually spread across his face as he felt and recognized this distinctive aura clearly.

”The Oniric Truth of Envy,” Cain softly murmured, his voice filled with admiration.

A Depravita possessed the extraordinary ability to manipulate and channel negative emotions within others, turning these emotions into potent weapons or gateways to directly influence their opponents. As they advanced further in mastery, they could achieve feats beyond mere manipulation. When negative emotions were intense enough—when they reached the deepest recesses of a being’s soul—a Depravita could seize upon them, not only to harm but also to integrate and absorb another entity’s entire essence, inheriting their strengths and secrets.

However, assimilating Oniric Truths was a far more challenging task, as these profound cosmic principles were exceedingly complex. Still, due to the dark green dragon’s primary cultivation being closely linked to the emotional and ethereal essence of Envy, Meylin had managed to absorb a remarkably substantial portion of this Truth.

A meaningful look appeared in Cain’s eyes as he mentally commanded, ”Supercomputer Assistant, analyze Meylin’s current Oniric Truth mastery.”

Instantly, the ArchDeity-level scanning ability activated, penetrating deep into Meylin’s very essence. After a short but profound analysis, a mechanical voice echoed clearly within Cain’s mind.

[Oniric Truths Mastery:

Pride: 100%

Envy: 89%

Gluttony: 62%]

Cain’s smile grew even broader and more satisfied upon seeing the numbers provided by the Supercomputer Assistant. Meylin had succeeded in absorbing an extremely high level of the dragon’s Oniric Truth of Envy. This impressive integration brought her exceptionally close to full mastery of a second cosmic principle.

”If she manages to reach 100% in Envy, she’ll be able to forge the initial foundation of her Dream,” Cain thought, satisfaction evident in his eyes.

The stronger Meylin grew, the happier Cain was—not merely because it meant she could remain by his side as he pursued even higher goals, but because her increased strength significantly reduced the burden he carried, aiding him greatly in his ambitious plans and complex schemes.

A meaningful realization flashed across Cain’s expression as he turned to Meylin, a thought suddenly occurring to him.

”Since you’ve fully assimilated the dragon’s essence,” Cain said, his voice carrying a subtle yet profound implication, ”does that mean you’ve also gained full control over his Divine Kingdom?”

Meylin, who had been savoring the newfound surge of power within her, paused to consider Cain’s words carefully. She closed her eyes briefly, sensing deep within her essence before opening them again with a confident nod.

”Yes,” Meylin replied calmly yet decisively, ”it seems the authority and strength of the dragon’s Divine Kingdom have fully transferred to me.”

”Excellent,” Cain said approvingly, his smile deepening. However, the warmth in his expression quickly vanished, replaced by chilling seriousness as he turned to face the rest of the gathered Prima Deities.

”The death of Alruk must remain an absolute secret,” Cain’s voice resonated coldly across the battlefield, carrying a powerful warning. ”Anyone who dares reveal what happened here will be considered a traitor—and I will personally toss them into my throne.”

The Prima Deities felt chills run down their spines at Cain’s threat. They knew exactly what being thrown into Cain’s throne meant—an eternal torment worse than death itself. None hesitated; they immediately nodded in compliance. After all, hiding Alruk’s death had no adverse effect on them personally, and none wished to challenge the Neo-Demon’s ruthlessness.

Cain’s reason for secrecy was obvious. By ensuring that those living within Alruk’s former Divine Kingdom believed their leader still lived, the inhabitants would continue their usual cultivation. Their spiritual radiation would nurture the kingdom, thus further accelerating Meylin’s mastery over the newly acquired Oniric Truth of Envy.

Seeing his intentions clearly understood, Cain then shifted his attention to Tiamat. The Dragon Empress had remained silent and watchful throughout the entire process. However, Cain noticed that her gaze lingered on Meylin, clearly discerning the nature of the Dream the women intended to construct.

Cain, however, cared little about Tiamat uncovering Meylin’s potential Dream. Even if the Dragon Empress understood Meylin’s ambitions, she still needed their strength to win her Eternal War against the Lord of Ages. By the time the war concluded, Cain fully believed they would have grown powerful enough that even an ArchDeity like Tiamat would hesitate to take them on.

Breaking the silence, Cain turned back toward Tiamat. ”I’ll proceed now with dismantling the Divine Kingdoms within the Lord of Ages’ domain.”

Tiamat’s eyes narrowed subtly upon hearing this, immediately understanding Cain’s intent. She remained silent for a thoughtful moment before finally responding with careful authority.

”You may use that special ability of yours to consume the Divine Kingdoms directly surrounding the Eternal Kingdom itself,” Tiamat spoke clearly and decisively, her voice carrying the weight of an imperial command. ”However, leave the others untouched.”

Cain stared at Tiamat for a brief moment, then simply smiled and nodded respectfully. It was clear to him what she intended: by sparing the weaker Prima Deities from destruction, Tiamat could entice them to abandon their loyalty to the Lord of Ages and join her cause instead.

With no further delay, Cain glanced meaningfully at Meylin. Together, the two powerful figures immediately moved into action, setting out to consume every last ounce of Origin Power residing within those doomed Divine Kingdoms.
