The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1747: Eighth Dark Tree

Facing the horrors that the Scarlet King had promised, the werewolves and vampires lowered their weapons. Defensive formations collapsed, the glow of wards and barriers dimmed, and the towering gates of the Blood and Silver Moons Fortress creaked open, surrendering to the inevitable.

The forces of the Scarlet Crusade stepped in with purpose and order.

From the front lines, Bahamut and Elder Alume exchanged brief glances, and upon confirming that all hostilities had ceased, they moved into action. Dragons and saintesses began pouring into the fortress in formation, securing key positions and establishing full control over the city’s infrastructure. It was critical to stabilize the region before planting the Dark Root.

While the majority of the Scarlet Crusade’s soldiers focused on strategic deployment, one figure moved with intent toward Cain.

Meylin.

Cain was ready to return to meditation, to digest the insights gained from the assimilation of the Blood Queen’s consciousness, but the moment he saw Meylin approaching, a genuine smile softened his fierce expression. His obsidian-armored form shifted, melting back into his human guise, and without hesitation, he stepped forward and embraced her.

The Neo-Demon and the Depravita had not seen each other in nearly a decade. In that moment, words became unnecessary. Their embrace tightened as they poured ten years of suppressed emotion into that single, silent connection. For five full minutes, the two stood like that, unmoving amid the shifting tides of conquest.

At last, they pulled away, eyes locking with a shared smile. Then, hand in hand, they rose into the sky, turning their attention to the heart of the fortress.

Below them, dragons and saintesses were escorting civilians from their homes—not out of cruelty, but out of caution. The implantation of a Dark Root was no minor event. Its awakening would reshape reality, tear at the land, and release energies no mortal could withstand. Even beings below the Legendary Realm risked death if caught near it.

Cain, despite his ruthless pragmatism in war, held a different perspective when it came to mortals. While he could witness billions of cultivators fall without blinking, innocent lives—children, elders, and noncombatants—were a different matter.

As the evacuation continued, Meylin turned toward Cain, her eyes glimmering with curiosity.

“How was your time in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe?”

Cain’s smile grew fainter, a pensive expression replacing it as he organized the thoughts swirling in his mind.

“It was… bloody,” he replied simply.

Then, he began recounting the tale—how he entered the Everstrife Empyrean World, joined the Gu Sect, and was hunted by a Prima Deity. How he plunged into the Gu World, ascended into the Prima Deity Realm, and survived the Omega War. How he fought the Omega Clone of a true Arch-Deity, and defeated it, consuming the piece of the soul of the supreme powerhouses in the process.

Cain left out nothing.

Between them, there were no secrets.

The more Meylin listened, the more her eyes widened. Born in the higher realms of the Crimson World, she was no stranger to divine-level power, but the scale of what Cain described was still shocking.

“So you’re strong enough to kill Peak Prima Deities… and even face off against Arch-Deity clones?” she asked in disbelief.

Cain chuckled softly and nodded. But then he shook his head.

“That was my body in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe,” he clarified. “Here, I can only defend myself against an early Prima Deity—nothing more.”

Though his achievements had been unmatched, Cain remained grounded. He understood better than most that arrogance without power was suicide. No matter how high one rose, there was always someone stronger. Caution, preparation, and wisdom were what had brought him this far—and would take him farther still.

As he finished the tale, a ripple of energy spread across the fortress.

The dragons and saintesses had secured the territory.

And now, it was time.

A cataclysm began.

From the center of the fortress, where the Dark Root was planted, a shockwave of dark energy pulsed outward. The ground shuddered violently, the very earth recoiling as if rejecting the seed—only to yield moments later, surrendering to its dominion.

The sky above darkened. Ominous clouds began swirling in every direction. Lightning crackled across the heavens, bolts of violet and crimson splitting the sky like angry veins.

Then, from the chasm’s depths, something monstrous began to rise.

A tree began to ascend—demonic and majestic, terrifying and beautiful. Its trunk was made of obsidian, streaked with glowing veins of molten red, like lava flowing through the arteries of a god.

As it rose higher, massive roots burst from the ground, tearing through stone and steel alike. Entire sections of the fortress were obliterated as roots shattered walls, crushed buildings, and spread like titanic serpents across the land.

In mere minutes, the transformation was complete.

The tree stood tall—colossal, towering over everything in sight. Its canopy pierced the clouds, its presence suffocating and divine. Its roots continued slithering through the earth, extending across hundreds of thousands of kilometers beneath the Bloodmar Continent.

It was a symbol of dominion.

Of unification.

Of power.

Cain watched it all with awe.

A wide smile curved across his face as he felt the immense energy radiating from the new Dark Tree.

“The continent is moving.”

There were now eight Dark Trees across the First Realm, each one spreading roots through their respective lands. The fusion of the continents was accelerating by a factor of billions.

“Only one continent remains,” Cain whispered. “And the unification will be complete.”

A deep, almost primal thrill surged through him at the thought. He could see it clearly—the entire First Realm, united under his rule, one massive landmass feeding the roots of his power. Once complete, the energy and harmony generated would allow Cain to fully evolve with a 100% mastery of an Oniric Truth.

That would place him above 90% of all Prima Deities!

The future burned brightly before him.

As Cain stood immersed in his vision, Meylin’s voice cut gently through his reverie.

“Will it be safe to leave the vampires and werewolves unchecked?”

Cain turned to her, immediately understanding the concern behind her words.

“Lilith,” he said, “will likely remain in an unconscious state for several years. Her soul fragment was utterly consumed. She won’t be able to communicate with her people.”

He paused.

“As for Lucius… he won’t dare act alone. Not after what he saw today.”

Meylin nodded, though her expression remained contemplative.
