The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1737: New stats

This day began like any other in the old domains of the Sun Church—scorched skies, drifting embers, and dragons soaring across the burning heavens—but everything changed in an instant.

“RUMBLE!!”

Without warning, the sky trembled with a fury so immense it seemed the very firmament might fracture and fall. Lightning arced without storm, splitting clouds into crimson ribbons. The heavens swirled with celestial chaos, the air vibrating with a pressure that threatened to shatter eardrums and rend flesh. It was not mere weather. It was divine descent.

A force unlike any other surged down from the cosmos, so ancient and vast that it seemed to carry the will of creation itself. It was not just energy—it was essence, a power that could devour all things and rewrite them into something new. It came not in a bolt, but in a wave: a golden tide tinted with obsidian edges, crashing through the sky and making the entire Helix Continent tremble.

The very ground beneath the dragons cracked like fragile glass, deep ravines slicing through mountains. Walls of magma burst from beneath the soil as the divine power plunged into the heart of the land.

And its destination was clear.

The blast didn’t stop at the surface. It pierced through stone, magic, and ancient seals, diving like a drill of fate directly into the ancient Sun Church castle—the very heart of the realm, and the residence of the most feared figure on the continent: Cain Laurifer.

Dragons—beings of chaos and majesty—watched in stunned silence. Their eyes wide, wings frozen mid-beat, their instincts screaming at them that something unfathomable had just breached reality. The wave that just struck the continent… it should have destroyed everything.

And it had gone straight to him.

Just as panic began to rise in their hearts and calls to alert the Tiamat Sect’s elders were about to sound, a new presence emerged—a pillar of dark purple aura that blasted into the sky like a comet. It churned with raw, overwhelming energy, and the heavens darkened in reverence.

Then came the voice.

Majestic. Absolute. Comforting—and terrifying.

“Be at ease. I am back. Everything is fine.”

The voice echoed in all directions, touching every beast, mortal, and godspawn across the Helix Continent.

It belonged to Cain Laurifer, the Scarlet King.

Though the dragons remained shaken, a strange calm overcame them. The power within the voice did not dominate; it soothed. It was a command wrapped in compassion—a promise from someone who ruled not by tyranny, but by force of will.

But inside the ancient castle, all was not calm.

Cain stood waist-deep within the molten brilliance of the Sun Ascension Pool, his body drinking in solar flame. Around him, the liquid blazed not just with heat, but with divine legacy—the remnants of sunfire once wielded by the Sun Lord.

Yet even as he bathed in the Pool, Cain’s gaze was narrowed in alarm.

His Void Eclipse Black Hole, the heart of his cultivation path and the anchor of his Oneiric Truth, was no longer stable. It was devouring energy faster than ever before, swelling with such voracity that its level was rising exponentially. Once, it had taken him days to grow it by one stage. Now, it rose in seconds.

And it wasn’t stopping.

“Supercomputer Assistant! What’s happening!?” Cain shouted into the air, his voice layered with soul force, attempting to stabilize the storm inside his chest.

The cold, mechanical tone of his AI companion echoed immediately through his mind.

[Beep! Now that Host’s True Name has exponentially evolved, it has been reestablished as the core of the Void Eclipse Black Hole. The core is now performing its function: absorbing all available energy until it reaches maximum threshold.]

Cain blinked, realization crashing over him like thunder.

When his True Name had first appeared in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, it had fused with his Alter-Ego, Leviathan, drastically increasing its power. Even though Cain had not trained his True Name directly in recent months, every enhancement to Leviathan—every moment of victory, evolution, and Will Sublimation—had silently been empowering it.

Now that he was immersed in the Sun Ascension Pool, drawing upon one of the most potent energy sources in the universe, the conditions were perfect.

“So the evolution to Lord of Conquest Leviathan… it empowered my True Name so much that my Void Eclipse can now grow without instability.”

He let out a breath of relief, a grin forming on his blood-smeared lips.

Of course, it wasn’t just about the True Name. The Sun Ascension Pool was an impossibly dense reservoir of celestial energy. Without it, such wild, unbridled growth might have fractured him from the inside.

But now he thrived in it.

Cain allowed his body to sink deeper into the radiant gold and crimson flames, letting the void within him drink.

Hour by hour passed as the Black Hole grew, devouring without hesitation, until finally, Cain felt it shudder—saturated. It had reached its new limit.

He opened his eyes slowly, and the fire around him bowed.

Power hummed through his veins, his spirit, his very atoms. He smiled wide, like a man reborn.

“Supercomputer Assistant, analyze my current state. Pull from memory the parameters of a True Primordial and apply them as baseline for assessment.”

The assistant did not hesitate.

[Beep! Analyzing host’s memory archives… Parameters retrieved. Setting True Primordial baseline as reference. Initiating scan.]

A thin layer of glowing code swept across Cain’s body, like divine data falling into place.

[Host Scan Complete.]

Cain couldn’t help but reveal a complicated smile as he gazed at the newly updated stats. With the exception of his Soul Force, every other attribute had taken a massive downgrade. His physical strength, vitality, agility—everything had dropped to levels that seemed insignificant compared to his former self.

Yet, despite the apparent setback, his smile soon returned, steady and full of silent confidence. The potential of his Neo-Demon Body was no less than that of his Primordial Body.

This wasn’t regression—it was reforging. A new foundation had been laid, and Cain could already feel the explosive growth simmering just beneath the surface.

“I’ll surpass even what I was in the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe,” he whispered to himself, eyes glowing with determination.
