The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1570: A.I. Gu Insect

[A.I. Gu Insect: It is a one-of-a-kind Gu insect, a unique lifeform forged through the power of the A.I. Chip Module, which grows by devouring other Gu Insects and integrating their energy into itself. However, unlike regular Gu, which directly enhances the user’s body, this Gu is linked solely to the Alter-Ego, serving as a powerful supportive force that nurtures, heals, and evolves the Vessel’s Alter-Ego.

Abilities:

-Devouring Growth: Gains power by consuming other Gu insects.

-Alter-Ego Binding: Instead of affecting the physical body, all improvements are transferred to the Alter-Ego.

-Regenerative Link: Through its connection with the Alter-Ego, it initiates a healing process using the energy of the Gu Insect it devours.

-Evolutive Awakening: After the Alter-Ego is fully restored, the A.I. Gu Insect can be used to feed it, generating an evolutive improvement.

Cost: 1000 SDF]

Cain’s eyes widened as he absorbed the information about the A.I. Gu Insect, a surge of overwhelming thrill coursing through his heart. After a lot of hard work and the death of millions, he managed to restore his Essence Evolution and Astral Rebirth Paths of Power to their peak. Still, the Ego Eternal Path of Power remained a complicated ordeal.

While, thanks to his Spirit Tribulation Enhancement, Cain had stabilized it, Leviathan, the Alter-Ego, was still far from fully healed. Until now, there had been no viable means to restore his Ego Eternal Path of Power to its peak, but things finally changed.

With this special Gu, he wouldn’t just be able to heal his strongest Path of Power. If the information was correct, it would also provoke an evolutive improvement in the demonic winged snake once the restoration was complete. Of course, the fact that this A.I. Gu Insect didn’t grant any direct physical enhancement was somewhat disappointing, but Cain had already reached the pinnacle of the food chain within the Gu World. If he could awaken Leviathan, his power would far exceed what any Gu Insect could grant.

The only downside was the cost—1000 SDF. That was an astronomically high amount, especially considering Cain’s current reserves were far from abundant.

He took a deep breath and spoke. “System, how much SDF do I currently have, and how much will it cost to evolve the other modules?”

A mechanical voice echoed in his mind.

[Vessel’s SDF: 1349

…

Value for next evolution of modules: 1000 SDF each.]

Cain exhaled deeply, frustration flickering in his eyes.

“Even after all this killing, after taking the lives of millions, absorbing their power, and pushing my cultivation to new heights, I’ve barely gained 1000 SDF. Just surviving that battle with the Third Realm woman granted me three times what I’ve gained inside the Gu World.”

He released a long sigh as he stared at the numbers, realizing just how difficult it was to obtain SDF. Even if he evolved one of the modules now, he wouldn’t have the means to utilize all its functions properly.

But Cain wasn’t the type to hesitate. His decision came swiftly. “Forge the A.I. Gu Insect.”

[Task assigned.]

Almost immediately, the robotic voice of the Absolute Life Form System echoed through his mind, and a sudden burning sensation spread through his body. A supernova-like force surged, activating the golden energy sealed within his forearm.

The pain was excruciating—far more intense than he had anticipated. His body trembled as he felt the bond extend into his Soul Dimension, latching onto the massive cocoon that housed Leviathan.

[Task completed.]

Thankfully, the pain didn’t last long. Within five minutes, the process was finished, and Cain’s gaze locked onto a new entity that had appeared around his forearm—a miniature replica of Leviathan, its demonic wings folded neatly as it stared at him.

Cain narrowed his eyes, analyzing the creature. The A.I. Gu Insect gazed back, locking eyes with him in a way that sent a familiar shiver down his spine.

“It feels… just like when I interact with Leviathan.”

A strange sense of familiarity washed over him as if the A.I. Gu Insect was an extension of himself. He studied the tiny creature for a few moments before sending it a telepathic command.

The miniature winged demonic snake reacted instantly. Its glowing eyes flared as it dashed into Cain’s left forearm, embedding itself within the Star Sealing Runic Formation. The moment it settled in place, an overwhelming wave of hunger erupted from the A.I. Gu Insect as it turned its gaze toward the millions of Gu Insects lying dormant within the formation.

And then—it began to devour.

At first, the process was slow. The A.I. Gu Insect consumed one Gu at a time, absorbing its energy before moving on to the next. But the more it ate, the faster it became. Within five minutes, it had already consumed over five thousand Gu Insects.

Yet, with millions more remaining, at this rate, it would take days to fully absorb them all.

Cain’s patience was being tested—until something unexpected happened.

The moment the A.I. Gu Insect consumed its ten-thousandth Gu, its form shuddered violently. A sudden burst of power exploded from its body as its tiny maw opened wide, releasing a devouring force akin to a black hole.

A torrent of Gu Insects—thousands upon thousands—were sucked in all at once, caught in an inescapable gravitational pull.

Cain’s lips curled into a wide smile as he watched the miniature winged demonic snake consume with unrelenting hunger.

The thrill only intensified as he sent his consciousness into his Soul Dimension. There, he saw it—the massive cocoon that housed Leviathan.

And it was… pulsing.

A deep, rhythmic thrum resonated from within the cocoon, sending waves of powerful energy rippling through his Soul Dimension.

“It’s working.” Cain’s eyes narrowed as he shouted, full of excitement.

By the time the A.I. Gu Insect devoured the last Gu Insect within the Star Cage Runic Formation, a sudden wave of vitality erupted from the cocoon.

The energy that had been stagnant for so long was now surging with new life. Though Leviathan was still far from fully healed, this was a significant step in the right direction.
