Child of Destiny

Chapter 400: Suppressive Aura

...…

”Shin!”

”Shin Bro!”

Both Arthur and Leonard were frozen in place the moment they saw Shin suddenly disappeared alongside with that blinding light. They were not sure what had happened, but seeing their brother disappeared like that right in front of them was not a pleasant sight to see.

They didnʼt believe that that light killed Shin since they still felt his aura during the presence of the light. Meaning, that blinding light was not a power explosion that could kill – but it might be a teleportation formation similar to the ability of the talisman that Shin had given to them.

Regardless, Shinʼs disappearance still stood for one clear thing – he was more or less abducted by the other side. And when Arthur and Leonard thought about that, both of their faces suddenly turned solemn as they fully understood the weight of the current situation.

Especially for Leonard who was abducted by the underworld organization not too long ago; he couldnʼt help but recall the things that happened to him in that laboratory. And if Shin was going to experience the same kind of suffering, then he was sure that it would worsen Shinʼs current metal state.

Even if he had a very strong willpower, such things were still going to affect him since it might trigger some of his unpleasant memories.

”D*mn it!”

”F*ck!”

Both of them cursed very loudly, furious. After that, they simultaneously looked at their respective opponents, ready to vent out their frustrations to the two of them.

Meanwhile, both Mario and Marcus were also currently in a stunned state; just like the other two, they were also surprised at what had happened. To them, Enrico was not just their leader but also their big brother who always took care of them. Even if he was not showing it obviously, both of them could still feel his care for the both of them.

Especially when he was covering for their mistakes during their missions.

Given this, it was natural for them to also become furious when the realization of Enrico dying sunk inside their heads.

Then they too looked at Arthur and Leonard simultaneously while having bloodshot eyes. This time, they were ready to sacrifice themselves too just to take down these two little monsters standing in front of them.

Boom! Boom!

Havin that resolved, both of them immediately ignited their life forces to further strengthen their evil powers – signifying that they were ready to face their own deaths just to drag down Arthur and Leonard in hell alongside them.

Boom! Boom!

But the two young monsters had a different plan for them.

Leonard unleashed more of the bloodline powers that he was suppressing, making his Internal Qi to become even more deep in color. And together with the raging Internal Qi enfolding his body, his eyes also got some changes.

His pupils solidified turning it all black while the white part of his eyes suddenly became golden. At the same time, the corner of his eyes was suddenly highlighted by a thickening black color.

Looking closely on it, his current eyes clearly resembled the eyes of a lion.

Together with those changes, the things that Leonard could see also change. Some of the colors that he was seeing suddenly disappeared – but in exchange for that, his eyesight suddenly became clear during this time.

It was currently night, so it was hard to see their surroundings because of the darkness. But from Leonardʼs perspective, everything around him was very clear; it was as if he suddenly gained a night vision.

Due to that, the presence that he was giving suddenly became a predatory beast stalking in the night.

Then he stared at Marcus like a predator who finally found its prey. But the latter didnʼt put much thought on that. He was thinking that it was just a false bravado to make him wary.

Having that in mind, he ignited his life force even more to gain more power before suddenly kicking the ground beneath his feet to launch himself forward. His current speed was so fast that he was able to arrive in front of Leonard in an instant.

But that was all of it.

It was because he was suddenly frozen in place at the moment of his arrival. He was already in the middle of throwing a very strong punch at that time, but his body suddenly defied his orders when he saw the look at Leonardʼs eyes.

He didnʼt know why, but he was unable to move his body the moment his eyes came in contact with Leonardʼs glaring eyes. It was as if he suddenly became a weaker being right in front of this guy. His instincts were even telling him to retreat as soon as possible because he shouldnʼt be challenging the beast standing right in front of him for it was the ruler of all beasts.

On the other hand, Leonard slowly raised his right arm while pulling it backwards. And when he clenched his hand into a fist, a large amount of Internal Qi suddenly rushed towards that fist, creating a sphere around it which was releasing an intense crimson light.

With a step, Leonard threw his fist straight to Marcusʼ face.

Marcus couldnʼt do anything as he watched that glowing fist get close to his face. And from his perspective, what he saw was a crimson lion charging at him which was furiously opening its jaws and seemingly planning to devour him alive.

BOOM!

Marcus couldnʼt do anything when his head was blasted into bits due to powerful impact. And alongside it, his evil core also turned into dust by the explosion following that punch.

...…

Meanwhile, the aura surrounding Arthur also got a sudden change.

He first closed his eyes and took a deep breath, calming himself down. He then regulated his breathing according to the ʼDragon Solenceʼ technique. And when he reopened his eyes, a powerful pressure was suddenly released from his body.

Boom!

The look on his eyes was cold and calm at the same time.

Mario felt a very threatening feeling coming Arthurʼs body when he saw the look at those aloof eyes. He even tried to take a step backwards the moment he saw that, but he couldnʼt move his body for some unknown reason. It was as if an invisible hand was squeezing his body.

At the same time, he also felt a tightening sensation inside his chest as his senses were telling him to run away from this place for as far as possible.

Marcus didnʼt have a clear idea of what was happening earlier but Mario clearly understood this feeling.

This was a ʼSuppressive Auraʼ, a type of pressure release by an overwhelming presence or a higher being. It was entirely different from the illusion created by ʼAura Manifestationʼ or a ʼBattle Spiritʼ – this was a pure pressure which was showing the difference of strength between the wielder and their opponents.

”How is this possible!?”

But Mario became even more shocked due to this. It was because ʼSuppressive Auraʼ could only be present when there was an overwhelming difference in strength or Martial-Art attainment.

And currently, Arthur was still in the Core Formation Stage, and it was level lower than his own Martial-Art attainment, it was not even higher than him!

On the other hand, Arthur didnʼt give a sh*t about Marioʼs current feelings. In fact, he even took advantage of the latterʼs surprise state to start attacking.

Given that, he tossed his spear slightly in the air before catching it with a reverse grip while focusing his multicolored Internal Qi on it. And when the accumulation of powers reached its peak, the appearance of the blazing spear made Arthur look like he was holding a spear made of fire.

At the same time, Arthur stomped his foot on the ground while he was taking a step forward. After that, he strongly twisted his waist while he was throwing the blazing spear towards his opponent.

Swoosh!

The spear left a trail of light while traveling in the air. And as it flew towards Mario, the Internal Qi surrounding the spear suddenly took the form of a dragonʼs head while the trail it left became the dragonʼs body.

ROAR!

Mario was still affected by the Suppressive Aura so he still couldnʼt move his body. If only he didnʼt get off-guard by the ʼSuppressive Auraʼ released by Arthur, then he might have enough time to nullify its effect.

Unfortunately, there were not such things as what if in these kinds of situations. So, all he could do was to close his eyes and accept his fate.

BOOM!

Then a powerful explosion devoured him right after the multicolored dragon came in contact with him. And even though he managed to survive from the explosion due to the protection of his Natural Force, the silver spear thrown by Arthur was still able to pierced through his body and destroyed his Evil Core.

Then he fell down on the ground lifelessly but with wide opened eyes. He even had a bitter smile on his lips as he felt regretful for not doing anything but also felt satisfied at dying in the hands of such a talented individual.

Meanwhile, both Leonard and Arthur collapsed on the ground due to exhausting a large amount of energy from their previous attacks. They stayed lying on the ground until they were able to recover some strength to stand back on their feet before looking at the spot where Shin suddenly disappeared.

”That idi*t! Always scolding me for being too careless yet he let himself be caught by our enemies!” cursed Arthur while walking towards Marioʼs corpse to retrieve his spear.

At the same time, Leonard walked towards him while saying. ”Letʼs not worry too much about him for the time being. He still has that teleportation talisman remember? What we need to focus on right now was to do our current jobs.”

Hearing that, Arthur suddenly clicked his tongue while saying. ”Tsk! I know about that – you donʼt have to remind me.”

He paused for a moment to pull the spear from Marioʼs chest while adding. ”And if he dared to die just like that, then I am going to dive down in hell and kill him once again.”

Leonard laughed slightly when he heard that before tapping Arthurʼs shoulders, saying. ”Alright, alright. Just remind me when you are going to dive in there. Iʼll help you beat him up.”

Due to their jokes, they were able to lessen their worry for Shin. After that, Arthur looked at Marioʼs corpse lying on the ground before deciding to burn it with his ʼInternal Qiʼ. Then he flicked his arm to the side, sending another multicolored flame at Marcusʼ corpse also burning it into ashes.

And when they made sure that the surroundings were already clear, the two of them immediately started running towards the direction of the ravenous point to meet up with the others.

A few moments after they left the place, Code suddenly walked out from the shadows before clicking his tongue, complaining. ”Tch! They didnʼt even give us a chance to retrieve the corpses of the three, huh? Such a huge waste of my time.”

After that, he walked back to the shadows of the night while muttering. ”But still, I didnʼt expect to witness such an incredible sight. Bloodline powers sure are amazing. And thanks to them, I can at least submit a good report to Boss regarding this matter.”
