Child of Destiny

Chapter 399: Disappearance

...…

Shin led this charge with Leonard and Arthur closely following after him. And this time, they were attacking successively and not responding to their enemiesʼ moves.

Shin broke through their enemiesʼ formation, attracting their attention before throwing their rhythms into a mess. And before the three wolves could fully adjust with his attacks, Arthur would come rushing in with his spear to assist Shin. Following closely behind him was Leonard who was making up for the openings that the previous two had left.

The three used this attacking order repeatedly with a systematic order. And alongside it, the Martial-Art Skills that they were using were also complementing each other.

Well, the three wolves were in idle either. After all, they had a higher Martial-Art Attainments than these three. They were using their own Martial-Art skills to counter the attacks thrown by the three.

But they couldnʼt properly link their skills because Shin kept on breaking their rhythm by using his Mentalism Techniques. He was also throwing these sneaky attacks to catch them off-guard from time to time.

Since the three wolves were being pushed back repeatedly by these three, it was natural for them to become frustrated. Especially that these three kids were only in the Core Formation Stage while they were already in the Eternal Opening Stage ages ago.

They were aware that these three were only able to fight them in equal footing due to their special powers. Both Arthur and Leonard possessed a powerful bloodline while Shin was a Dual-Practitioner. But their pride couldnʼt take this humiliation, so the three of them decided to use all their evil powers.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Three powerful suppressive auras simultaneously exploded from their bodies, signifying that they released the restrictions on their bodies so that they could expend more of their evil powers.

But the trio of Shin, Arthur and Leonard were already expecting that; in fact, that was the exact time that they were waiting for.

Due to the three wolves releasing their restrictions, the other three were able to sense where their opponents placed their evil cores.

Given that, the trio immediately made their moves and went rushing towards their respective opponents. After all, the three of them were fully aware that someone with evil powers were in their vulnerable state when they were trying to release their restrictions.

This information was not common; in reality, only people who possessed such powers were the ones who were aware about this hidden weakness. But for someone like Shin who was trained by an underworld organization, this critical information was quite common for him.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Seeing that the three were simultaneously rushing towards them, the three wolves were suddenly thrown into a panic state. They were still in the middle of releasing their evil powers to the max, so if they got hit by an attack on this state, they would surely be going to suffer a serious internal injury that couldnʼt be healed easily by their evil powers.

But if they forcefully cancelled the release of their maximum evil powers, their evil cores were going to get damaged due to the drawbacks given by the forced cancelation.

Either way, the three of them were going to suffer a serious injury. Given that, they chose the latter since they couldnʼt afford to risk their lives with the former case. After all, these three kids seemed to be aware where their respective evil cores were located.

”Ugh!” three of them spat out some blood due to the forced cancelation, but they braced themselves and immediately protected themselves against the incoming attacks.

Marcus immediately placed both of his hands in front of his face with one supporting the others. At the same time, he forcefully gathered a lot of Natural Force to cover those hands as an extra layer of protection.

Bang!

He was sent sliding backwards due to the powerful impact caused by the collision. And when he forcefully stopped himself from moving further, he suddenly felt an explosion inside his body. ”Ugh!”

Due to that, he coughed more blood for suffering an even more serious internal injury. ”D*mn! That attack again!”

Marcus was furious because of being hit by Leonardʼs ʼInternal Explosionʼ once again. But he didnʼt have much time to dwell in it because he saw Leonard charging towards him for another time.

Seeing that, he immediately used his ʼQi Reinforcement Skillʼ to strengthen his muscles. He didnʼt have a window to use this earlier because of the continuous assaults of the trio. But now that managed to find a time to use it, he planned to teach this young beast not to mess with him.

Bang!

A powerful shockwave was sent in all directions when their fists collided at each other. They paused for a moment, maintaining their postures. And after a second, both of them immediately started throwing a barrage of consecutive punches at each other, making a lot of explosive sounds for every collision.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

This battle was clearly a straightforward contest of strength. And this battle, Marcus was supposedly the one overwhelming Leonard – but due to the successive injuries that he suffered, he couldnʼt use his full power or even properly utilize his advantage.

In fact, he kept on being pushed back by Leonardʼs brutal assault. This young kid really resembled a wild beast; he was throwing his fist and sending kicks as if there was no tomorrow. And to make the matter worse, Marcus couldnʼt figure out Leonardʼs attacking pattern at all.

Leonard was actually attacking without any systematic patterns. It was as if he was only randomly attacking his opponent solely for the sake of winning.

This style of fighting clearly reflected Leonardʼs nature who originally grew up with the ʼrulesʼ of the streets. For a street fighter like him, there was no such thing such as rules that needed to be followed in street battles. There was only a single thing that you need to know in this kind of environment, and that was to defeat your opponent with whatever means possible.

…

Meanwhile, Mario was also in a similar state as Marcus. He kept on stepping back repeatedly due to the unstoppable attacks that Arthur was throwing at him.

He also suffered a serious injury due to the ʼforced cancelationʼ. And before he could even recover himself from it, he already saw the incoming spear thrusting straight to his chest. So, without even healing himself, he immediately crossed his daggers in front of his chest to block that attack.

Bang!

”Ugh!” Due to the powerful force hidden behind that spear thrust, the injury that Mario had suffered from the ʼforce cancelationʼ became even worse.

Naturally, Arthur would not wait for his opponent to recover from that serious injury. So, he immediately threw a barrage of consecutive stabs at Mario without rest. And while doing that, he also covered the head of his spear with the ʼEternal Flame Internal Qiʼ which made each of his strikes much more powerful and very hard to deal with.

Because of that, the injuries that Mario had suffered became even worse. So, he started showing some signs of breaking down due to that unstoppable barrage of attacks; especially when the ʼEvil Energyʼ mixed in his Natural Force was being purified by Arthurʼs multicolored Internal Qi.

...

Enrico was in a slightly better state than the two. It was because he possessed a much stronger constitution than the two. But that didnʼt mean he didnʼt suffer any kind of drawbacks from the ʼforce cancellationʼ earlier.

His battle against Shin was currently in a stalemate. Though, he needed to put a lot of effort at focusing on this battle.

This kid in front of him was very troublesome to deal with. The Silver Internal Qi surrounding this kidʼs body could clearly negate the Evil Energy that he possessed. So, he needed to keep avoiding any direct hits from that sword wielded by Shin.

But his problem didnʼt end there – the Mental Energy surrounding Shin was equally troublesome as ʼSacred Internal Qiʼ. Even if it didnʼt have any purifying ability that could negate the ʼEvil Energyʼ, it still could pose an immense threat to Enrico. It was because it could deal a serious damage on his body if he got hit by any attack empowered with that energy.

Shin discovered some changes in his Mental Energy after he started practicing the ʼJade Kirin Scriptureʼ given by David. It was not noticeable at first, but in due time, he discovered that the black Internal Qi inside his dantian started to calm down due to its presence. And because of that, the harmony between it and his ʼSacred Internal Qiʼ became even more perfect.

Given that, he tried throwing some attacks empowered by this new Mental Energy in their earlier exchanges. And that was when Shin discovered that this Mental Energy could give a serious injury that couldnʼt easily be healed by Evil Powers.

Taking advantage of this fact, Shin tried to suppress his opponent together with his ʼSacred Internal Qiʼ.

Enrico was becoming even more frustrated when he started feeling pressure from Shinʼs attacks. And that feeling became even worse when he took a quick glance at Marcus and Mario. And seeing that both of them were also struggling on their sides, Enrico clearly understood that they fell into the scheme set up by these kids.

Being in that situation, Enrico felt that he needed to eliminate these kids at all cost. These three would surely pose a great threat on their Organization once they fully matured. He needed to end them now before they could reach that point.

But eliminating all of them at once was quite impossible given their current state.

While he was thinking about that, he suddenly came into a realization when his eyes suddenly landed at Shinʼs cold yet determined eyes. ʼThat is right! This kid is the one who orchestrated all of this. He is the main reason why we are currently at a losing end!ʼ

The more he looked at Shin the more he saw the real ʼmonsterʼ hiding behind his youthful appearance. ʼIf I take down this kid with me, then the top young agents of the organization can still stand a chance against those two little hatchlings!ʼ

Reaching his point, Enricoʼs eyes suddenly flashed with a determined light as came to a decision.

Naturally, Shin was able to notice that and immediately felt a dangerous feeling coming from Enrico. Given that, he quickly retreated back for as fast as possible. But the latter seemed to be persistent and closely chased after Shin.

Seeing that, Shin immediately started setting up some plans inside his head. And when he finally found a window to execute it, he suddenly stopped his retreat which caught Enrico completely off-guard.

Right after stopping, Shin pulled his sword backwards while enfolding it with a bunch of ʼSacred Internal Qiʼ. At the same time, he pointed at Enrico with his other hand while controlling his Mental Energy.

Then Mental Energy that Shin had scattered during his retreat suddenly come rushing towards Enrico locking him in place; he felt like a serpent was squeezing him tightly and prevented him from moving.

After that, Shin quickly made a large step forward which sent him striding forward. And while doing that, he was also thrusting his sword forward and stabbing it straight to Enricoʼs chest.

Swoosh!

Puchi!

Shinʼs sword pierced through Enricoʼs chest without any obstruction. And a second later, a powerful energy wave suddenly exploded forward from Shinʼs sword and blasted Enricoʼs chest alongside with his evil core hidden inside his heart.

Boom!

With all of that, it was clear that Enrico was killed in that very instant. But in his very last moment, he suddenly started smiling while looking at Shin with his evil eyes. ”Got you!”

Hearing that, Shin immediately felt a dangerous feeling coming from Enricoʼs body. He wanted to retreat back but it was already too late at that point of time. Enricoʼs body suddenly exploded into a bunch of black smoke and quickly enfolded Shinʼs body.

That smoke didnʼt pose any harm to him due to the combined forces of his ʼSacred Internal Qiʼ and Mental Energy repelling it. But it managed to prevent Shin from moving.

Ta-Tak!

Then Shin saw the Advance Watch that Enrico was wearing earlier suddenly hit the ground from falling. And on the very next instant, it suddenly exploded with a blinding light that illuminated the whole place.

The other four suddenly paused their battle due to that intense light. And when everything went back to normal due to its disappearance, both Leonard and Arthur were suddenly frozen in place!

It was because they discovered that Shin suddenly disappeared alongside that blinding light!
