Child of Destiny

Chapter 390: Real Party Started

...…

”How about I play with the two of you instead? How does it sound?”

Both Lennon and his captain immediately put their guards up the moment they heard that unfamiliar voice coming from their backs.

At the same time, they quickly hopped towards their front while also turning their bodies around in the process.

Ta-ta! Ta-ta!

But when their feet landed back on the ground, both of them suddenly knitted their brows because they didnʼt find the owner of the voice there. While they were still confused about that, they suddenly heard the voice for another time and it was still coming from their backs.

”But before that, letʼs go to another place for now. It is going to be troublesome if the others feel my presence.”

This time, both Lennon and his captain made sure that they were fast enough to turn their bodies around so that they could see this mysterious guy.

With that, they saw a man leaning on a tree with his arms crossed in front of his chest. They couldnʼt clearly see his appearance because he was being hidden by the shadow of the tree that he was leaning on.

This man stared at them for a moment before saying with a smirking tone. ”Alright, that should be enough.”

The moment the two young agents heard his words, their faces suddenly turned solemn. It was because that was when they discovered that they were already in the different part of the forest.

ʼHow is it possible?ʼ thought Lennon as he stared at the man in front of them.

His captain, on the other hand, squinted his eyes a little as he carefully observed this man in front of them. A moment later, his eyes narrowed even further as he suddenly got an idea on who this guy was.

”So, it is the famous ʼWandererʼ, David Solomon. I heard that you are in this continent but I donʼt expect you are teaming up with the military this time,” he said while getting ready to fight.

He paused for a moment before adding to his words. ”I heard you hate the military under the World Government. So, why are you helping them now?”

”Heh!” David chuckled for a moment before saying. ”Well, your information is about right. But the military forces under the Springfield Family are quite different compared to the rest.”

After that, he stood up straight and walked out from the shade of the tree while saying. ”Letʼs stop chit-chatting. Both of us canʼt afford to waste each otherʼs time, right? So, letʼs get this started already.”

Bang!

When those words left his mouth, a very powerful Mental Energy was released from his body which wreaked some havoc in the air around them.

Bang! Bang!

At the same time, the two young agents standing opposite to him also released their respective Natural Forces and covered their bodies with it.

”Donʼt get too corky. Do you honestly believe that you can take both of us at the same time?” said the captain guy.

Hearing that, Davidʼs lips suddenly curved into a grin while saying with a sneering tone. ”I wonder about that. Want to give it a try?”

Meanwhile, the ongoing ʼpartyʼ suddenly became a mess.

Right after the first song that played for the dance, the whole place suddenly turned dark while the doors and windows suddenly closed on their own.

At first, the guests present in that hall thought that it was part of the program. But a lot of them started to panic when they saw a bunch of smokes being released from the ventilation on the ceiling of the hall.

– ”What is happening!?” –

On the other hand, Shin and the others immediately started making their moves.

”It started. Have you guys found the location of their operators?” muttered Shin on the hidden mic on his collar while covering the lower part of his face with some Mental Energy. He created a mask with his Mental Energy which was going to filter the air that he was going to breath.

Jillian was also doing the same. And alongside it, she was also looking at her surroundings and trying to find the guys who were observing the ʼpartyʼ earlier.

But when she couldnʼt find any of them anymore, she suddenly frowned her eyebrows while saying. ”The guards suddenly disappeared. I canʼt feel their presence anymore.”

Hearing that, Shin immediately said. ”Donʼt worry, they are going back later. All we need to do is to wait.”

After that, he started talking on the mic once again. ”Hey! What are you guys doing? I am asking you if you have already found their control room.”

”Relax, we heard you. We just encounter some problems along the way,” replied Arthur from the other side while taking down a guard in front of him.

Behind him, Molton was currently kneeling in front of a door and busily unlocking it.

Shin waited for a moment when he heard that. Then he asked the other side. ”What about on your side, Lorraine? How are the things over there?”

There were a few moments of silence before Lorraine replied at Shin from the other side. ”Donʼt worry, I finally found a good location for sniping. I am ready to give you some long-range assistance at any given time.”

Shin nodded his head a little before saying on the mic once again. ”How about the movements of our opponents outside this hall, operator?”

The corner of the operatorʼs mouth suddenly twitched the moment he heard that. ʼWhat the f*ck? I am the most senior here, why the heck am I being treated as the most useless member of this team?ʼ

Regardless, he still responded to Shinʼs question. ”You donʼt have to worry too much on the entrance door since there are not many people guarding that place. Instead, it is better if you focus on the people from the other side of the side doors.”

”Copy,” answered Shin before giving some hand signals at Leonard who had a crimson Internal Qi covering his entire body. It was like a flame that was seemingly burning the smokes around him.

When Leonard saw Shinʼs hand signals, immediately nodded his head before positioning himself near the door on his side. And while crouching on the ground, he took a pair of knuckle gloves from the pocket of his coat and quickly put them on.

Meanwhile, Angela and Jillian suddenly ripped the beautiful dress that they were hearing, revealing the tube top leather suit that they had underneath.

Both of the girls gave a pitying look on those dresses before throwing them away. After that, went on the door across the one that Leonard was guarding before positioning themselves beside it.

Angela was currently wearing a special fabric on the lower part of her face. And that cloth seemed to be able to filter the air that she was going to breath.

After seeing them taking their respective positions, Shin twisted his head left and right a little to create some cracking sounds in it. Then he waited for all of the guest inside the all to lose their consciousness before muttering to himself. ”Itʼs showtime!”

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Right after those words left his mouth, the tree doors of the hall were suddenly blasted by simultaneous explosions followed by the entrance of three groups of armed men who were also wearing a gas mask on their heads.

But all of them came into a sudden halt when they saw a young man standing at the center of the hall.

All of them were confused at that sight. Everyone should be lying on the ground right now due to the special sleeping gas that they released. And that sleeping gas was not a simple one since it is a highly concentrated gas meant to knock out a Martial-Artist in a matter of seconds.

And what confused them even more was this young man standing at the center of the hall was not even wearing a mask or anything on his face.

”You guys sure know how to keep us waiting,” said Shin with a soft voice.

Due to the hall being dead silent, everyone managed to hear Shinʼs words despite being said with a soft voice. And when the armed men heard him, all of them suddenly felt an intense chill that ran through their spine.

”Fire!” was the word that the leading guy wanted to say but he was unable to voice it out because his mouth was already being covered by hand and preventing him from talking.

”Do you know what I hate on these kinds of missions? It is because it keeps reminding me of something that I really want to forget.”

Those were the last words that the leader had heard before he felt his body being smashed on the ground.

Bang!

Everything happened in an instant, not giving his subordinates a time to respond. They only recovered themselves when they heard a loud sound in the middle of their ranks.

While everyoneʼs attention was still attracted by Shin, the other three waiting on the side also started making their moves. And before their opponents could fully recover themselves, those three already took down a lot of them.

And with all of that, the real party at this place finally started.
