Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 1694: Chapter 536: Reversal, The Outcome of Bargaining with a Tiger (Part 2)

Yang Jian led the people from the two vassal towns to pillage Xia Yusheng, resulting in Han Yue’s death. The most furious one should be Han Feng, the elder brother.

Han Feng was wearing the Thousand Forged Level Lei Kui Golden Armor, standard for the Dragon Martial Army, indicating that he had become a member of the Dragon Martial Army.

Watching Han Feng and a group of soldiers retreat, the Xia Army both fought and retreated, surging into the city gate like a tide. In less than dozens of seconds, less than half of the people were left at the gate.

The soldiers who first entered the city did not stand foolishly but quickly went up to the city wall to set up bows and stones, turned in direction, and began shooting rapidly at the Jinshan Wuchuan army outside the city, assisting the Xia Army outside in continuing to enter.

Xia Hong did not play any king-to-king game with Cai Qianshan either. Riding the Mystic Iron Eagle and accompanied by twelve Beast Emperor-level puppets, he guarded the Xia Army’s slow retreat until all the Xia Army gathered under the city gate.

At this point, the situation was settled!

The entire battle lasted less than half an hour.

The Jinshan Wuchuan army consisted of a total of 110,000 people, with only 40,000 from the Great Xia. Originally, it should have been a one-sided fight since the 50,000 army from Wuchuan came silently, and the 60,000 army from Jinshan suddenly launched an attack from outside the city, the Great Xia should have been completely unprepared.

But who would have thought a surprise attack through a tunnel would completely reverse the situation!

The Xia Army now entered Aikou City, the Jinshan army remained outside, and the Wuchuan army, having traveled over a hundred miles in a long-distance raid, only ended up killing perhaps less than a hundred Xia soldiers in total, and they never once met the Xia Army’s main force.

This battle was hardly a desperate fight for either side.

Although the Xia Army was strong, Xia Hong had given the retreat command early, so the fighting time was not long; although the two town allied troops were numerous, their combat strength wasn’t good, and the Wuchuan army barely had any deep encounter with the Xia Army, it was almost as if they hadn’t fought.

Therefore, the casualties on both sides were considered minimal.

Xia Hong could roughly estimate that the Xia Army’s casualties were around ten percent, about 4,000 people; the two town allied casualties were over five percent, with approximately over 5,000.

Though neither side suffered significant losses, the interesting part is yet to come!

Xia Hong stood on the forehead of the Mystic Iron Eagle, gazing out a few hundred meters away at Cai Qianshan and others standing in mid-air, seeing their grim faces, and couldn’t help but burst into hearty laughter.

“Hahahahahaha…”

After a few laughs, he pointed at Qin Feng and Shangguan Yang behind Cai Qianshan, and loudly spoke, “Last night, Lord Qin gave East Valley City to our Great Xia, today, Lord Shangguan handed over Aikou City. Ultimately, you are South Slope people, why must you follow foreign fief people to create chaos? You should lead your army to join our Great Xia to avoid this military disaster and resist the external enemy together, how about it?”

“Hahahahaha…”

“Hahahahaha…”

……

The gates of Aikou City had already been trampled by Beast Emperor-level puppets, so as soon as all the Xia Army soldiers inside the city burst out in laughter, it spread instantly. They laughed extremely arrogantly, intentionally amplifying their voices to almost reach several miles around.

Nearly all of the over 100,000 Jinshan and Wuchuan armies could hear it clearly.

Needless to mention Cai Qianshan’s stiff and ugly expression, the over 100,000 soldiers from the two towns blushing upon hearing the Xia Army’s jarring laughter, uncertain if it was from shame or anger.

By now, even the foolish ones had realized.

The Wuchuan army had suffered such a loss the previous night, seeing the entire Xia Army entering Aikou City now; how could they not understand that the scene from last night had been replicated again.

Originally, 60,000 Jinshan troops were in the city, waiting in ambush; now they found themselves outside, transformed into the side attacking the city.

As for the Wuchuan army, having traveled so far to raid, their plans to defeat the Xia Army’s Right Route Army had fallen apart, and without any achievements, they were now in a dilemma, with nowhere to go.

Behind Aikou City is Jinshan Town, whether Jinshan’s 60,000 troops will attack the city or not is uncertain, but at least abandoning Aikou is impossible; so where can the Wuchuan army go now?

Back to Wuchuan Town?

“Reporting to the Lord, Luo Yuan’s middle army has quickly advanced from the west side, they travel over forty kilometers an hour, now only more than twenty kilometers away from our army, and can arrive in less than half an hour…”

“Reporting to the Lord, Yuan Cheng’s rear army killed from the southern side of Yangqu, also advancing quickly, their speed is similar to Luo Yuan’s tribe, they are even closer, less than twenty kilometers away…”

Two pieces of news came from the rear, turning Qin Feng’s face ashen instantly, and the already elderly-looking Shangguan Yang’s pupils trembled sharply, making him appear even older.

“Qin Feng, Shangguan Yang, surrender! You have nowhere to go!”

The scouts sent by Yuan Cheng and Luo Yuan’s two marshals followed closely behind those from the two towns, so when the two town lords learned of Luo Yuan and Yuan Cheng’s armies’ approach, Xia Hong also received the scout reports.

The moment Xia Hong received the reports, he immediately called out to Qin Feng and Shangguan Yang across the air.

After saying it, he still received no response.

Xia Hong pondered for a while, noticing that the enemy’s front ranks had Cai Qianshan standing above, while Qin Feng and Shangguan Yang had retreated to the rear, joining the Xianyang Level group with Cai Qiu, and his thoughts shifted.

“This Nine Towns’ conflict is a matter of South Slope Territory’s own people, each serving their master during war, I will not pursue any soldier’s faults, now that the Great Xia holds South Slope, all South Slope citizens are Xia people, from now on no longer separated by towns, as long as you are willing to lay down your weapons, family and friends will remain as before, and Great Xia guarantees not to infringe upon anyone, from now…”
